A large number of cyclic torsional shear and cyclic triaxial tests on saturated soft clay under unconsolidated undrained condition are conducted. From the test result analysis, it is seen that the failure of saturated soft clay under static and cyclic loads satisfies Mises criterion. The result from different test stress states is not related to the test stress states or confining pressures. It can be applied in general stress states. Then according to the Mises criterion, the equivalent relationship on failure moment between the test stress state and the general stress state can be established. So the cyclic mechanics characteristics of saturated soft clay at failure moment are clarified in this paper. Furthermore, a theory basis is provided for using pseudo-static elasto-plastic cyclic strength model to evaluate cyclic bearing capacity.展开更多

For the backfill hydraulic support as the key equipment for achieving integration of backfilling and coal mining simultaneously in the practical process, its characteristics will directly influence the backfill body...For the backfill hydraulic support as the key equipment for achieving integration of backfilling and coal mining simultaneously in the practical process, its characteristics will directly influence the backfill body's compression ratio. Horizontal roof gap, as a key parameter of backfilling characteristics, may impact the backfilling effect from the aspects of control of roof subsidence in advance, support stress, backfilling process and the support design. Firstly, the reason why horizontal roof gap exists was analyzed and its definition, causes and connotation were introduced, then adopting the Pro/E 3D simulation software, three typical 3D entity models of backfill hydraulic supports were built, based on the influence of horizontal roof gap on backfilling effect, and influence rules of four factors, i.e. support height, suspension height, suspension angle and tamping angle, were emphatically analyzed on horizontal roof gap. The results indicate that, the four factors all have significant impacts on horizontal roof gap, but show differences in influence trend and degree, showing negative linear correlation, positive linear correlation, positive semi-parabolic correlation and negative semi-parabolic correlation, respectively. Four legs type is the most adaptive to the four factors, while six legs(II) type has the poorest adaptability, and the horizontal roof gap is small under large support height, small suspension height, small suspension angle and large tamping angle situation. By means of optimizing structure components and their positional relation and suspension height of backfill scrape conveyor in the process of support design and through controlling working face deployment, roof subsidence in advance, mining height and backfilling during engineering application, the horizontal roof gap is optimized. The research results can be served as theoretical basis for support design and guidance for backfill support to have better performance in backfilling.展开更多

Combinatorial ...Conventionally, an experimentally determined phase diagram requires studies of phase formation at a range of temperatures for each composition, which takes years of effort from multiple research groups. Combinatorial materials chip technology, featuring high-throughput synthesis and characterization, is able to determine the phase diagram of an entire composition spread of a binary or ternary system at a single temperature on one materials library, which, though significantly increasing efficiency, still requires many libraries processed at a series of temperatures in order to complete a phase diagram. In this paper, we propose a "one-chip method" to construct a complete phase diagram by individually synthesizing each pixel step by step with a progressive pulse of energy to heat at different temperatures while monitoring the phase evolution on the pixel in situ in real time. Repeating this process pixel by pixel throughout the whole chip allows the entire binary or ternary phase diagram to be mapped on one chip in a single experiment. The feasibility of this methodology is demonstrated in a study of a Ge-Sb-Te ternary alloy system, on which the amorphouscrystalline phase boundary is determined.展开更多

The experimental results were provided such as the mean velocity field, fluctuat-ing velocities, turbulent kinetic energy, Reynolds shear stress and time series of the velocity in the stirred tank. The cost and safety of geotechnical engineering are highly depending on the accuracy of soil shear strength parameters.There are three methods often used to estimate soil shear strength parameters,i.e.,moment method,3...The cost and safety of geotechnical engineering are highly depending on the accuracy of soil shear strength parameters.There are three methods often used to estimate soil shear strength parameters,i.e.,moment method,3-sigma rule and linear regression method.In this study,the accuracy of these three methods is compared.Traditional linear regression method(LRM)can only offer the mean of shear strength parameters.Some engineers misuse the standard error of shear strength indexes as the standard deviations.Such misuse may highly underestimate the uncertainty and induce high risk to the geotechnical design.A modified LRM is proposed to determine both the mean and variance of shear strength parameters.The moment method,three-sigma rule and LRM are used to analyze the tri-axial test data in Xiaolangdi Hydraulic Project and three numerical shear strength tests.The results demonstrate that:1)The modified LRM can offer the most accurate estimation to shear strength parameters;2)A dimensionless formula is much preferred in LRM rather than a dimensional formula.The stress ratio formula is much better than stress relation in the shear strength parameter analysis.The proposed method is applicable to shear strength parameter analysis for tri-axial test data,direct shear test and the un-drained shear strength test of stratified clay.展开更多

Firstly, according to the studying on the geometric structure of warp-knitted loops, Goktepe's 3D solid yarn model is developed, and the dimensions of the warp-knitted loops are obtained; then 3D models of stitch defined by eleven given points and in-lay defined by five given points are built with the method of Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline (NURBS) curves and surfaces. Secondly, according to the chain notations of warp-knitted structures, the loop's shape can be decided, and with the 3D models the loops can be connected freely and smoothly in some special warp-knitted structures, such as miss-lapping and two- course in-lay. At last, with the tools of Visual C ++ and OpenGL, computer 3D simulation of two-bar warp-knitted fabrics is successfully realized, taking the factor of fabric light and materials into 3D structural model.展开更多

Methods Ten left ventricular (LV) wall phanto...To test the accuracy of real-time three-dimensional echocardiography (RT3DE) imaging system for evaluating left ventricular mass (LVM) in phantom and excised canine heart. Methods Ten left ventricular (LV) wall phantoms made of two rubber-bursas, ten excised canine hearts underwent RT3DE and two-dimensional echocardiography (2DE). In RT3DE "full volume" imaging, the myocardial volume was mea-sured using 2,4,8, and 16-plane method with the analysis software of RT3DE. Mass was then calculated by multiplying the resulting myocardial volume by specific density of myocardial tissue. In 2DE the masses were measured by area-length meth-od. The true LV wall phantom mass was measured by water displacement and the canine LVM was weighed by anatomy, which served as a reference standard. We compared RT3DE or 2DE with true mass. Results In LV wall phantoms, RT3DE correlated with true masses strongly (r = 0.813-0.994) and weakly correlated between 2DE and true masses (r = 0.628). In excised canine hearts, there is an excellent correlation between RT3DE and true masses (r = 0.764-0.991), while 2DE value showed a lesser correlation (r = 0.514). There are no difference between RT-3DE and true masses (P > 0.05) but different between 2DE and true masses (P < 0.05). In different planes, there was no difference between 8-plane and 16-plane (P > 0.05) but different between 8-plane and 2, 4-plane (P < 0.05). Conclusion RT3DE can accurately quantify LVM and provide a new tool to evaluate LV function. For LVM by RT3DE, 8-plane measurement method is the best choice for accuracy and convenience.展开更多
AIM: To study the anti-hepatoma efficiency of arsenic trioxide (As2O3) in the treatment of experimental rat hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) induced by 2-acetamidofluorene (2-FAA) and to elucidate the possible me...AIM: To study the anti-hepatoma efficiency of arsenic trioxide (As2O3) in the treatment of experimental rat hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) induced by 2-acetamidofluorene (2-FAA) and to elucidate the possible mechanisms. METHODS: SD rats (2 mo old) had been fed with 2-FAA for 8 wk to induce HCC, and then they were treated with As2O3 or matrine. On d 29, the rats were killed and the liver was weighed and liver tumors were counted. The histological changes of liver tissue were observed under microscope, and the cellular dynamic parameters were studied by flow cytometry. Immunohistochemistry (two-step method) was used to observe the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and micro-vessel density (MVD) on consecutive sections. The pathological parameters were also analyzed, the levels of serum aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), total bilirubin (TBi), and direct bilirubin (DBi). RESULTS: The number of liver tumors decreased significantly in groups treated with As2O3, especially in medium-dose (1 mg/kg) group (t = 2.80, P〈0.01). As2O3 caused HCC cell death via apoptosis; necrosis was seen and apoptosis was common when the dose was 1 mg/kg. Proliferation index decreased sharply in medium-dose (1 mg/kg) group (7.87±4.11 vs24.46±6.49, t= 2087, P〈0.01), but not in 0.2 mg/kg group. However, S-phase fraction decreased dramatically in both groups, it reached the bottom level only when the dose was i mg/kg compared with control (0.40±0.13 vs3.01±0.51, t= 2.97, P〈0.01), and it was obviously accompanied with accumulation of cells in G0/G1 (G0/G1 restriction). The expressions of VEGF and MVD in medium-dose (1 mg/kg) group were significantly lower than normal saline group (0.63±0.74 vs2.44±0.88, P〈0.05; 15.75±3.99 vs47.44±13.41, t= 2.80, P〈0.01). Compared with normal saline group, mediumand low-dose groups As203 and matrine lowered the levels of ALT in serum (61.46±9.46, 63.75±20.40, 61.18±13.00 vs 108.98±29.86, t= 2.14, P〈0.05), but had no effect onthe level of serum AST, TBi, and DBi. CONCLUSION: As203 had inhibitory effect on growth of experimental HCC in rats induced by 2-FAA, but had no obvious effect on normal hepatic cells. The mechanisms may involve decrease of cell division, accumulation of cells in G0/G1 phase, apoptosis of tumor cells, and inhibitory effect on angiogenesis through blocking VEGF.展开更多
Based on laboratory results of time-dependent mechanical behavior tests,we investigated short-term and mechanical creep behavior of sandstone,observed in conventional triaxial compression experiments at room temperatu...Based on laboratory results of time-dependent mechanical behavior tests,we investigated short-term and mechanical creep behavior of sandstone,observed in conventional triaxial compression experiments at room temperature,using a servo-controlled rheology testing machine.Given our short-term experimental test results,we confirmed deviatoric creep stress levels of sandstone.Multiple deviatoric stress levels were applied in steps to each sample.Each deviatoric stress level before the final failed deviatoric stress was maintained for 48 h or longer.Time-dependent variations of axial strains of sandstone samples are discussed and evaluated.During the creep tests,complete tertiary creep curves of sandstone were observed under failed deviatoric stress levels with different confining pressures.Slices of coal in sandstone samples can lead to distinct tertiary creep deformation failure.展开更多

Methods: A total of 38 female mice were randomly divided into normal control (n=10), sham operation (n=10), model (n=8) and acupuncture (n=10) groups. "Si Shen Zhen" [4 points around "Baihui" (GV 20): 0.3 cm anterior, posterior, left and right to GV 20 respectively], and "Zhi San Zhen" ["Shenting" (GV 24) and bilateral "Benshen" (GB 13)] of "JIN San Zhen" series are used. The memory ability, AChE positive fiber density and mono amines transmitters of the brain are used as the indexes. Results: After 8 days’ treatment, cerebral ischemia induced mental retardation (decline of learning memory ability) was improved significantly shown by Y maze test (P<0.05-0.01), simultaneously, AChE positive fiber density of the frontal cerebral cortex and hippocampus, serotonie (5 HT), noradrenaline (NA) and dopamine (DA) contents of the brain increased significantly (P<0.05). Conclusion: Acupuncture induced increase of AChE, 5 HT, NA and DA in the brain may contribute to the effect of acupuncture in improving the memory capability of the RD mice.展开更多

METHODS: Healthy adult Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats of both ...AIM: To study the effects of Changtai granules (CTG), a traditional compound Chinese medicine, on chronic trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid-induced colitis in rats. METHODS: Healthy adult Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats of both sexes, weighing 250-300 g, were employed in the present study. The rat colitis models were induced by 2, 4,6-trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid (TNBS) enemas at a concentration of 100 mg/kg in 50% ethanol. The experimental animals were randomly divided into dexamethasone (DX) treatment, CTG treatment, and model control groups, which were intracolicly treated daily with DX (0.2 mg/kg), CTG at doses of 2.9, 5.7 and 11.4 g crude drug/kg, and the equal amount of saline respectively from 6 h following induction of the colitis in rats inflicted with TNBS to the end of study. A normal control group of rats treated without TNBS but saline enema was also included in the study. After 3 wk of treatment, the animals were assessed for colonal inflammatory and ulcerative responses with respect to mortality, frequency of diarrhea, histology and myeloperoxidase activity (MPO).RESULTS: The therapeutic effect of CTG on ulcerative colitis (UC) was better than DX. CTG effectively inhibited the activity of granulocytes, macrophages and monocytes in a dosedependent manner. Also it reduced MPO and formation of inflammation in colonic mucosal tissue. Furthermore, administration of CTG significantly prevented body mass loss and death, and decreased frequency of diarrhea in UC rats, when compared with the model control group rats.CONCLUSION: CTG would prove to be an ideal drug for chronic UC, and is warranted to be studied further.展开更多

The cavity 3D visible model was created by large-scale mining industry soft- ware Surpac after changing the measured data. The stope mine design model, bottom structural model and backfill model of the south and north sides of the stope N4-5 were established according to the stope design data. On this basis, the stope block model was established, and then block attribute was estimated. The amount the ore remains, mullock, backfill and total mined ore were calculated through the solid model restrains. Finally, the stope mining dilution rate and loss rate reached 8.2% and 1.47%, respectively. The practice indicates that the mining index visible calculation method based on cavity 3D monitoring and stope block modeling can make up the deficiency of adopting the solid model to directly carry out the Boolean operation, The stope mining indexes obtained by this method are accurate and reliable, and can be used to guide the actual nroduction management and estimate the mining aualitv.展开更多
The vortex-induced vibration of two identical rigidly mounted risers in a parallel arrangement was studied using Ansys-CFX and model tests.The vortex shedding and force were recorded to determine the effect of spacing...The vortex-induced vibration of two identical rigidly mounted risers in a parallel arrangement was studied using Ansys-CFX and model tests.The vortex shedding and force were recorded to determine the effect of spacing on the two-degree-of-freedom oscillation of the risers.CFX was used to study the single riser and two parallel risers in 2–8D spacing considering the coupling effect.Because of the limited width of water channel,only three different riser spacings,2D,3D,and 4D,were tested to validate the characteristics of the two parallel risers by comparing to the numerical simulation.The results indicate that the lift force changes significantly with the increase in spacing,and in the case of 3D spacing,the lift force of the two parallel risers reaches the maximum.The vortex shedding of the risers in 3D spacing shows that a variable velocity field with the same frequency as the vortex shedding is generated in the overlapped area,thus equalizing the period of drag force to that of lift force.It can be concluded that the interaction between the two parallel risers is significant when the risers are brought to a small distance between them because the trajectory of riser changes from oval to curve 8 as the spacing is increased.The phase difference of lift force between the two risers is also different as the spacing changes.展开更多
Deformation and failure of deep clay samples are closely related to energy changes.Investigating the energy conversion and damage behavior of deep clay during loading and unloading tests has important significance for...Deformation and failure of deep clay samples are closely related to energy changes.Investigating the energy conversion and damage behavior of deep clay during loading and unloading tests has important significance for prevention-control of soil destabilization damage caused by mine shaft excavation.In the present work,triaxial tests of consolidated clay under different stress paths and stress rates were conducted.The results reveal that the mechanical properties of soils have strong stress rate effects and the samples mainly experience energy storage in the elastic stage,after that,the energy conversion mainly undergoes an increase of dissipative energy and release of elastic energy,which is also confirmed by the results of the analysis in the subsequent CT tests.Two damage indicators were compared,finding that the indicator based on dissipative energy has more obvious differences in two stress paths and can be used as a better indicator to describe the damage evolution of soils.Finally,in the triaxial shear test,due to the unloading effect of confining pressure,the damage of soils increased more rapidly near breaking than in the triaxial compression test,which indicates that the damage caused by unloading on deep soil is more abrupt than that caused by loading.展开更多

A laboratory-designed large soil tank with periodic and continuous infiltration models, respectiv...The infiltration of water contaminants into soil and groundwater systems can greatly affect the quality of groundwater. A laboratory-designed large soil tank with periodic and continuous infiltration models, respectively, was used to simulate the migration of the contaminants NH4 and NO3 in a soil and groundwater system, including unsaturated and saturated zones. The unsaturated soil zone had a significant effect on removing NH4 and NO3 infiltrated from the surface water. The patterns of breakthrough curves of NH4 and NO3 in the unsaturated zone were related to the infiltration time. A short infiltration time resulted in a single sharp peak in the breakthrough curve, while a long infiltration time led to a plateau curve. When NH4 and NO3 migrated from the unsaturated zone to the saturated zone, an interracial retardation was formed, resulting in an increased contaminant concentration on the interface. Under the influence of horizontal groundwater movement, the infiltrated contaminants formed a contamination-prone area downstream. As the contaminants migrated downstream, their concentrations were significantly reduced. Under the same infiltration concentration, the concentration of NO3 was greater than that of NH4 at every corresponding cross-section in the soil and groundwater tank, suggesting that the removal efficiency of NH4 was greater than that of NO3 in the soil and groundwater system.展开更多

Four legs type is the most adaptive to the four factors, while six legs(II) type has the poorest adaptability, and the horizontal roof gap is small under large support height, small suspension height, small suspension angle and large tamping angle situation. By means of optimizing structure components and their positional relation and suspension height of backfill scrape conveyor in the process of support design and through controlling working face deployment, roof subsidence in advance, mining height and backfilling during engineering application, the horizontal roof gap is optimized. The research results can be served as theoretical basis for support design and guidance for backfill support to have better performance in backfilling.

文摘Conventionally, an experimentally determined phase diagram requires studies of phase formation at a range of temperatures for each composition, which takes years of effort from multiple research groups. Combinatorial materials chip technology, featuring high-throughput synthesis and characterization, is able to determine the phase diagram of an entire composition spread of a binary or ternary system at a single temperature on one materials library, which, though significantly increasing efficiency, still requires many libraries processed at a series of temperatures in order to complete a phase diagram. In this paper, we propose a "one-chip method" to construct a complete phase diagram by individually synthesizing each pixel step by step with a progressive pulse of energy to heat at different temperatures while monitoring the phase evolution on the pixel in situ in real time. Repeating this process pixel by pixel throughout the whole chip allows the entire binary or ternary phase diagram to be mapped on one chip in a single experiment. The feasibility of this methodology is demonstrated in a study of a Ge-Sb-Te ternary alloy system, on which the amorphouscrystalline phase boundary is determined.

文摘The spatial structure of the velocity field in a stirred vessel with water has been measured and analyzed using the laser Doppler velocimeter technique, with the immersing depth and agitation speed of the impeller re-maining approximately constant. The experimental results were provided such as the mean velocity field, fluctuat-ing velocities, turbulent kinetic energy, Reynolds shear stress and time series of the velocity in the stirred tank. These results probably provided the valuable basis to further optimize and enlarge the stirred tank in the industrial process.

文摘The cost and safety of geotechnical engineering are highly depending on the accuracy of soil shear strength parameters.There are three methods often used to estimate soil shear strength parameters,i.e.,moment method,3-sigma rule and linear regression method.In this study,the accuracy of these three methods is compared.Traditional linear regression method(LRM)can only offer the mean of shear strength parameters.Some engineers misuse the standard error of shear strength indexes as the standard deviations.Such misuse may highly underestimate the uncertainty and induce high risk to the geotechnical design.A modified LRM is proposed to determine both the mean and variance of shear strength parameters.The moment method,three-sigma rule and LRM are used to analyze the tri-axial test data in Xiaolangdi Hydraulic Project and three numerical shear strength tests.The results demonstrate that:1)The modified LRM can offer the most accurate estimation to shear strength parameters;2)A dimensionless formula is much preferred in LRM rather than a dimensional formula.The stress ratio formula is much better than stress relation in the shear strength parameter analysis.The proposed method is applicable to shear strength parameter analysis for tri-axial test data,direct shear test and the un-drained shear strength test of stratified clay.
文摘In this study, 3D computer modeling of simple warp-knitted structures is achieved based on 3D model of warp-knitted loops. Firstly, according to the studying on the geometric structure of warp-knitted loops, Goktepe's 3D solid yarn model is developed, and the dimensions of the warp-knitted loops are obtained; then 3D models of stitch defined by eleven given points and in-lay defined by five given points are built with the method of Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline (NURBS) curves and surfaces. Secondly, according to the chain notations of warp-knitted structures, the loop's shape can be decided, and with the 3D models the loops can be connected freely and smoothly in some special warp-knitted structures, such as miss-lapping and two- course in-lay. At last, with the tools of Visual C ++ and OpenGL, computer 3D simulation of two-bar warp-knitted fabrics is successfully realized, taking the factor of fabric light and materials into 3D structural model.

文摘An automatic generation method of geological cross-sections in dredging engineering based on 3D geological solid models is presented.The 3D geological models are built applying the non-uniform rational B-splines(NURBS) technique,and a 2D profile can be calculated and generated automatically through Boolean operation to meet the demands of dredging projects.Moreover,an automatic marking method for geological attributes is put forward based on database technology,and the geological attributes include the profile name,scale,horizontal and vertical relative coordinates,geological lithology,and 2D standard lithology legend.At the same time,the automatic marking method can also provide an interactive mode for geological engineers to edit and modify the profile in the modeling system.Practical engineering applications show that the automatic generation method is a simple,flexible,fast and precise visual graphics rendering process that can create 2D standard profiles automatically and efficiently.This method also provides a convenient support tool for geological engineering digital analysis.
文摘To test the accuracy of real-time three-dimensional echocardiography (RT3DE) imaging system for evaluating left ventricular mass (LVM) in phantom and excised canine heart. Methods Ten left ventricular (LV) wall phantoms made of two rubber-bursas, ten excised canine hearts underwent RT3DE and two-dimensional echocardiography (2DE). In RT3DE "full volume" imaging, the myocardial volume was mea-sured using 2,4,8, and 16-plane method with the analysis software of RT3DE. Mass was then calculated by multiplying the resulting myocardial volume by specific density of myocardial tissue. In 2DE the masses were measured by area-length meth-od. The true LV wall phantom mass was measured by water displacement and the canine LVM was weighed by anatomy, which served as a reference standard. We compared RT3DE or 2DE with true mass. Results In LV wall phantoms, RT3DE correlated with true masses strongly (r = 0.813-0.994) and weakly correlated between 2DE and true masses (r = 0.628). In excised canine hearts, there is an excellent correlation between RT3DE and true masses (r = 0.764-0.991), while 2DE value showed a lesser correlation (r = 0.514). There are no difference between RT-3DE and true masses (P > 0.05) but different between 2DE and true masses (P < 0.05). In different planes, there was no difference between 8-plane and 16-plane (P > 0.05) but different between 8-plane and 2, 4-plane (P < 0.05). Conclusion RT3DE can accurately quantify LVM and provide a new tool to evaluate LV function. For LVM by RT3DE, 8-plane measurement method is the best choice for accuracy and convenience.
文摘AIM: To study the anti-hepatoma efficiency of arsenic trioxide (As2O3) in the treatment of experimental rat hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) induced by 2-acetamidofluorene (2-FAA) and to elucidate the possible mechanisms. METHODS: SD rats (2 mo old) had been fed with 2-FAA for 8 wk to induce HCC, and then they were treated with As2O3 or matrine. On d 29, the rats were killed and the liver was weighed and liver tumors were counted. The histological changes of liver tissue were observed under microscope, and the cellular dynamic parameters were studied by flow cytometry. Immunohistochemistry (two-step method) was used to observe the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and micro-vessel density (MVD) on consecutive sections. The pathological parameters were also analyzed, the levels of serum aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), total bilirubin (TBi), and direct bilirubin (DBi). RESULTS: The number of liver tumors decreased significantly in groups treated with As2O3, especially in medium-dose (1 mg/kg) group (t = 2.80, P〈0.01). As2O3 caused HCC cell death via apoptosis; necrosis was seen and apoptosis was common when the dose was 1 mg/kg. Proliferation index decreased sharply in medium-dose (1 mg/kg) group (7.87±4.11 vs24.46±6.49, t= 2087, P〈0.01), but not in 0.2 mg/kg group. However, S-phase fraction decreased dramatically in both groups, it reached the bottom level only when the dose was i mg/kg compared with control (0.40±0.13 vs3.01±0.51, t= 2.97, P〈0.01), and it was obviously accompanied with accumulation of cells in G0/G1 (G0/G1 restriction). The expressions of VEGF and MVD in medium-dose (1 mg/kg) group were significantly lower than normal saline group (0.63±0.74 vs2.44±0.88, P〈0.05; 15.75±3.99 vs47.44±13.41, t= 2.80, P〈0.01). Compared with normal saline group, mediumand low-dose groups As203 and matrine lowered the levels of ALT in serum (61.46±9.46, 63.75±20.40, 61.18±13.00 vs 108.98±29.86, t= 2.14, P〈0.05), but had no effect onthe level of serum AST, TBi, and DBi. CONCLUSION: As203 had inhibitory effect on growth of experimental HCC in rats induced by 2-FAA, but had no obvious effect on normal hepatic cells. The mechanisms may involve decrease of cell division, accumulation of cells in G0/G1 phase, apoptosis of tumor cells, and inhibitory effect on angiogenesis through blocking VEGF.

文摘Based on laboratory results of time-dependent mechanical behavior tests,we investigated short-term and mechanical creep behavior of sandstone,observed in conventional triaxial compression experiments at room temperature,using a servo-controlled rheology testing machine.Given our short-term experimental test results,we confirmed deviatoric creep stress levels of sandstone.Multiple deviatoric stress levels were applied in steps to each sample.Each deviatoric stress level before the final failed deviatoric stress was maintained for 48 h or longer.Time-dependent variations of axial strains of sandstone samples are discussed and evaluated.During the creep tests,complete tertiary creep curves of sandstone were observed under failed deviatoric stress levels with different confining pressures.Slices of coal in sandstone samples can lead to distinct tertiary creep deformation failure.
文摘Objective: To explore the possible mechanisms of "JIN San Zhen" (JIN’s 3 acupoints groups) in treatment of mental retardation. Methods: A total of 38 female mice were randomly divided into normal control (n=10), sham operation (n=10), model (n=8) and acupuncture (n=10) groups. "Si Shen Zhen" [4 points around "Baihui" (GV 20): 0.3 cm anterior, posterior, left and right to GV 20 respectively], and "Zhi San Zhen" ["Shenting" (GV 24) and bilateral "Benshen" (GB 13)] of "JIN San Zhen" series are used. The memory ability, AChE positive fiber density and mono amines transmitters of the brain are used as the indexes. Results: After 8 days’ treatment, cerebral ischemia induced mental retardation (decline of learning memory ability) was improved significantly shown by Y maze test (P<0.05-0.01), simultaneously, AChE positive fiber density of the frontal cerebral cortex and hippocampus, serotonie (5 HT), noradrenaline (NA) and dopamine (DA) contents of the brain increased significantly (P<0.05). Conclusion: Acupuncture induced increase of AChE, 5 HT, NA and DA in the brain may contribute to the effect of acupuncture in improving the memory capability of the RD mice.

文摘AIM: To study the effects of Changtai granules (CTG), a traditional compound Chinese medicine, on chronic trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid-induced colitis in rats. METHODS: Healthy adult Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats of both sexes, weighing 250-300 g, were employed in the present study. The rat colitis models were induced by 2, 4,6-trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid (TNBS) enemas at a concentration of 100 mg/kg in 50% ethanol. The experimental animals were randomly divided into dexamethasone (DX) treatment, CTG treatment, and model control groups, which were intracolicly treated daily with DX (0.2 mg/kg), CTG at doses of 2.9, 5.7 and 11.4 g crude drug/kg, and the equal amount of saline respectively from 6 h following induction of the colitis in rats inflicted with TNBS to the end of study. A normal control group of rats treated without TNBS but saline enema was also included in the study. After 3 wk of treatment, the animals were assessed for colonal inflammatory and ulcerative responses with respect to mortality, frequency of diarrhea, histology and myeloperoxidase activity (MPO).RESULTS: The therapeutic effect of CTG on ulcerative colitis (UC) was better than DX. CTG effectively inhibited the activity of granulocytes, macrophages and monocytes in a dosedependent manner. Also it reduced MPO and formation of inflammation in colonic mucosal tissue. Furthermore, administration of CTG significantly prevented body mass loss and death, and decreased frequency of diarrhea in UC rats, when compared with the model control group rats.CONCLUSION: CTG would prove to be an ideal drug for chronic UC, and is warranted to be studied further.

文摘Aimed at the CMS laser scanning theory and characteristic, a combined actual situation of stope N4-5 of Fankou Lead-Zinc Mine and complementary monitoring of the stope were carried out by carefully choos- ing two measuring points. The cavity 3D visible model was created by large-scale mining industry soft- ware Surpac after changing the measured data. The stope mine design model, bottom structural model and backfill model of the south and north sides of the stope N4-5 were established according to the stope design data. On this basis, the stope block model was established, and then block attribute was estimated. The amount the ore remains, mullock, backfill and total mined ore were calculated through the solid model restrains. Finally, the stope mining dilution rate and loss rate reached 8.2% and 1.47%, respectively. The practice indicates that the mining index visible calculation method based on cavity 3D monitoring and stope block modeling can make up the deficiency of adopting the solid model to directly carry out the Boolean operation, The stope mining indexes obtained by this method are accurate and reliable, and can be used to guide the actual nroduction management and estimate the mining aualitv.

文摘The vortex-induced vibration of two identical rigidly mounted risers in a parallel arrangement was studied using Ansys-CFX and model tests.The vortex shedding and force were recorded to determine the effect of spacing on the two-degree-of-freedom oscillation of the risers.CFX was used to study the single riser and two parallel risers in 2–8D spacing considering the coupling effect.Because of the limited width of water channel,only three different riser spacings,2D,3D,and 4D,were tested to validate the characteristics of the two parallel risers by comparing to the numerical simulation.The results indicate that the lift force changes significantly with the increase in spacing,and in the case of 3D spacing,the lift force of the two parallel risers reaches the maximum.The vortex shedding of the risers in 3D spacing shows that a variable velocity field with the same frequency as the vortex shedding is generated in the overlapped area,thus equalizing the period of drag force to that of lift force.It can be concluded that the interaction between the two parallel risers is significant when the risers are brought to a small distance between them because the trajectory of riser changes from oval to curve 8 as the spacing is increased.The phase difference of lift force between the two risers is also different as the spacing changes.

文摘Deformation and failure of deep clay samples are closely related to energy changes.Investigating the energy conversion and damage behavior of deep clay during loading and unloading tests has important significance for prevention-control of soil destabilization damage caused by mine shaft excavation.In the present work,triaxial tests of consolidated clay under different stress paths and stress rates were conducted.The results reveal that the mechanical properties of soils have strong stress rate effects and the samples mainly experience energy storage in the elastic stage,after that,the energy conversion mainly undergoes an increase of dissipative energy and release of elastic energy,which is also confirmed by the results of the analysis in the subsequent CT tests.Two damage indicators were compared,finding that the indicator based on dissipative energy has more obvious differences in two stress paths and can be used as a better indicator to describe the damage evolution of soils.Finally,in the triaxial shear test,due to the unloading effect of confining pressure,the damage of soils increased more rapidly near breaking than in the triaxial compression test,which indicates that the damage caused by unloading on deep soil is more abrupt than that caused by loading.

文摘The infiltration of water contaminants into soil and groundwater systems can greatly affect the quality of groundwater. A laboratory-designed large soil tank with periodic and continuous infiltration models, respectively, was used to simulate the migration of the contaminants NH4 and NO3 in a soil and groundwater system, including unsaturated and saturated zones. The unsaturated soil zone had a significant effect on removing NH4 and NO3 infiltrated from the surface water. The patterns of breakthrough curves of NH4 and NO3 in the unsaturated zone were related to the infiltration time. A short infiltration time resulted in a single sharp peak in the breakthrough curve, while a long infiltration time led to a plateau curve. When NH4 and NO3 migrated from the unsaturated zone to the saturated zone, an interracial retardation was formed, resulting in an increased contaminant concentration on the interface. Under the influence of horizontal groundwater movement, the infiltrated contaminants formed a contamination-prone area downstream. As the contaminants migrated downstream, their concentrations were significantly reduced. Under the same infiltration concentration, the concentration of NO3 was greater than that of NH4 at every corresponding cross-section in the soil and groundwater tank, suggesting that the removal efficiency of NH4 was greater than that of NO3 in the soil and groundwater system.
