This foundation is located to the north of ChangheGale and Building Foundation Ⅱ and the due south of Taiji Hall. It is the main body of a hall-typed architectureconsisting of the large-sized rammed-earth foundation, the rammed-earth partitions and column network composed oframmed-earth plinths and column pits. The side doors on the eastern and western sides, the rammed-earth foundationsof auxiliary buildings and the grounds on the southern and northern sides of the main body and the imperial path toits south comprised the architectural complex unit together. Most of the tiles unearthed in this excavation were thepolished tiles of the Northern Wei Dynasty, while some tiles made in the Han and Western Jin Dynasties were alsofound. Referred to the stratigraphic relations, this building foundation is inferred to be constructed and mainly used inthe Northern Wei Dynasty, and partly extended and used in the lat phase of the Northern Dynasties.展开更多
