METHODS: Rats were treated with D-GaIN (300 mg/kg) plus LPS (0.1 mg/kg) for 1, 3, 6, and 12 h. Enzyme immunoassay was used to determine the hepatic cys-LT content. Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), Western blot or immunohistochemical assay were employed to assess the expression or location of LTC4 synthesis enzymes, which belong to membrane associated proteins in eicosanoid and glutathione (MAPEG) metabolism superfamily. Activity of LTC4 synthesis enzymes was evaluated by determination of the products of LTA4 after incubation with liver microsomes using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). RESULTS: Livers were injured after treatment with D-GaIN/LPS, accompanied by cys-LT accumulation at the prophase of liver injury. Both LTC4 synthase (LTC4S) and microsomal glutathione-S-transferase (mGST) 2 were expressed in the rat liver, while the latter was specifically located in hepatocytes. Their mRNA and protein expressions were up-regulated at an earlier phase after treatment with D-GaIN/LPS. Meantime, a higher activity of LTC4 synthesis enzymes was detected, although theactivity of LTC4S played the main role in this case. CONCLUSION: The expression and activity of both LTC4S and mGST2 are up regulated in a rat FHF model, which are, at least, partly responsible for cys-LT hepatic accumulation.展开更多

Fourier transform-infrared (FTIR) spectroscopic analysisof organic samples loaded with the acid shows that amine forms 1:1complex of ion-pair association with succinic acid, malic acid andmaleic acid, and 1:1, 2:1 complex of ion-pair association withfumaric acid. It is proposed that the complex forms depend on thesecond dissociation constant of the dibasic acid, pK_a2.展开更多

The optimized OSC based on L(TPA-bTV- DCN)-PC70BM (1:2, w/w) with 0.25 vol% CN exhibits an enhanced power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 2.61%, with Voc of 0.87 V, Jsc of 6.95 mA/cm2, and FF of 43.2%, under the illumination of 100 mW/cm2 AM 1.5 G simulated solar light, whereas the PCE of the OSC based on the same active layer without additive is only 1.79%. The effect of the additive on absorption spectra and the atomic force microscopy images of L(TPA-bTV-DCN)-PCv0BM blend films were further investigated. The improved efficiency of the device could be ascribed to the enhanced absorption and optimized domain size in the L(TPA-bTV-DCN)-PC70BM blend film.展开更多

We used air oxidation to self-polymerize dopamine(DOPA) to ensure that the PPTA powder was coated. Our results indicate that the modified surface of PPTA powder enhances compatibility with the polymer matrix without damaging its structure. Additionally, it is possible to control the coating thickness of PDOPA by regulating the reaction time. The modified PPTA powder improved the comprehensive property of ethylene-propylene-diene-terpolymer grafted maleic anhydride(EPDM-g-MAH), and it proved that this method can enhance the strength and electric insulativity of EPDM-g-MAH.展开更多

The molecular structure was characterized by means of ~H NMR, FTIR, WXRD, GPC, TGA and DSC analyses. About half of [3-CDs are still entrapped on the Pluronic 17R4 chain while the number of incorporated NIPAAm monomers is nearly a double feed value in the resulting copolymers. The aggregate morphologies in aqueous solution were evidenced by TEM observations. A two-step thermo-responsive transition arising from a combination of a polypseudorotaxane middle block with poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) flanking blocks was also demonstrated by turbidity measurements. Given their thermo-responsive behavior in aqueous solution, these PR-based triblock copolymers show the potential to be used as smart materials for the controlled drug delivery systems, biosensors, and the like.展开更多
