A Distributed Online Custom System for Knitted Sweater

A new application of Sun ONE architecture — an online custom system for Knitted Sweaters is presented, which links sweater design, manufacturing and sales in different places to share information through the Internet.The framework and characteristics of J2EE and Sun ONE are analyzed. Having studied the requirements of the online custom system for knitted sweaters, the paper presents a detailed and original system design based on J2EE technology and Web Services. This paper also gives descriptions on how to assemble and deploy the whole system under the Sun ONE architecture.

Satellite Communications Integration with Terrestrial Networks

In this paper we evaluate the feasibility of seamless and efficient integration of terrestrial communication systems with satellite networks. This aspect is considered by standardisation bodies such as ETSI [1], 5 G-PPP [2] and 3 GPP [3]. A comprehensive system is designed and implemented in an emulation prototype, including standard 3 GPP LTE core network functionality [4] with its different layers: networking, data forwarding, control, management and monitoring and is validated through performance measurements. This work is a technical feasibility study of extending terrestrial communication systems with satellite networks as backhaul, increasing the energy efficiency, network robustness during natural disasters as well as being an alternative for peak-time data forwarding of the terrestrial communication services. Due to its global coverage property, terrestrial-satellite integration provides an obvious extension of communication services towards isolated and remote areas and an alternative for rural or highly distributed/highly mobile enterprise networks.

A2A Relationships in Service Contexts

This work aims at developing the actor-to-actor （A2A） relationship concept in service contexts enhancing the contribution of the systems theories. The most recent progresses related to the research on the service, as a matter of fact, highlight how the nowadays co-creation processes are key elements in each service context. Both the Service Science （SS） and the Service Dominant （S-D） logic analyse the importance of the role played by the numerousness of actors involved in the service exchange because of the resources held （and released） and the contribution they can offer. System theories, and in particular the Viable System Approach, offer the possibility of an holistic perspective able to re-interpret the same characterizing mechanisms of the value co-creation. In the following parts of the work it will presented a conceptual analysis based on the contribution of the VSA, the SS and the S-D logic, whose scientific proposals will be developed and critically analysed in order to verify the proposition coherence in terms of A2A relationships within the value co-creation process. The relational perspective of the Service Eco-systems shows a view open to network in relation to economic and social actors, where each organization can be considered as an actor because it is actively committed in the value co-creation development, going beyond the difference between the user, the producer, or the exchange facilitator. Therefore, the contribution proposes some progresses compared with the business to business （B2B） approach and literature, through the introduction of the new A2A interaction concept within the service context for the indistinct role that the actors play in the value co-creation process. In this perspective, the contribution introduces the research line focused on the service, giving attention, afterwards, to the service system context, in order to analyse the features of these systems with the specific goal of identifying its peculiarity. The contribution proceed with the presentation of the systems thinking, and in particular the VSA contribution, directed toward the description of the gaps that the authors identify in the present research attempting to offer some orientations for the comprehension and the improvement of the service systems and of their planning and management implications. The contribution finally proposes an integrated interpretation of the several emerging paradigms （VSA, SS and S-D logic） seeking an in-depth-analysis of the A2A relationships in the service contexts.

Context-Aware Service IVlodes in the Cloud Computing Environment

This paper discussed the differences of context-aware service between the cloud computing environment and the traditional service system.Given the above differences,the paper subsequently analyzed the changes of context-aware service during preparation,organization and delivery,as well as the resulting changes in service acceptance of consumers.Because of these changes,the context-aware service modes in the cloud computing environment change are intelligent,immersive,highly interactive,and real-time.According to active and responded service,and authorization and non-authorized service,the paper drew a case diagram of context-aware service in Unified Modeling Language(UML) and established four categories of context-aware service modes.

New Developments in Maritime Communications： a Comprehensive Survey

This paper summarizes the requirements for modem maritime wireless communication networks in the marine environments including the sea- to-sea and sea-to-shore communication scenarios. The existing maritime wireless communication sys- tems are presented and the development of the state-of-the-art maritime communication systems is surveyed. Furthermore, a hierarchical and integrated maritime network architecture is proposed to satisfy the increasing various classes of services which demand different Quality of Service （QoS）. Finally, the open issues for further development of maritime communications are identified.

Network Selection Based on Context-Awareness Services

In this paper,we propose a systemic architecture of network selection based on context-awareness services,which gathers contextual information that includes such network information,user information and local information.This network selection strategy considers the Quality of Service(QoS) and user preferences.Also,it perceives contexts such as speed,coverage percentage and location,etc.,and it eventually performs network selection decision making and network execution based on multiple factors.From the perspective of network decision,it presents two network selection algorithms,namely the fuzzy mathematics evaluation method and multiple attribute decision making using the TOPSIS evaluation method.System simulations suggest that network selection based on the mathematics evaluation method is much faster than the TOPSIS evaluation method.However,the TOPSIS evaluation method is practically more efficient.The network selection method based on context-awareness provides an effective and flexible network vertical handover strategy,and ensures a good accuracy and efficiency.
