The crystalline structure, morphologies and upconversion (UC) luminescence properties of films were respectively investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), atomic force microcopy (AFM) and photoluminescence (PL). The results indicate that both of the microstructure and luminescence are found to be dependent on Er^3+ substituting sites. The samples with A-site substitution have smaller lattice constants, larger grains and smoother surface than those with B-site substitution. The photoluminescence spectra show that both of the samples have two stronger green emission bands centered at 528 and 548 nm and a weak red emission band centered at 673 nm, which correspond to the relaxation of Er^3+ from ^2H11/2, ^4S3/2, and ^4F9/2 levels to the ground level ^4I15/2, respectively. Compared with B-site doped films, A-site doped films have a stronger integrated intensity of green emissions and a weaker relative intensity of red emissions. The differences could be explained by the crystalline quality and cross relaxation (CR) process.展开更多
In order to reveal the relationship between the penecontemporaneous karstification and sedimentary microtopography in sequence stratigraphy,the sequence stratigraphic framework of Lianglitage formation in Upper Ordovi...In order to reveal the relationship between the penecontemporaneous karstification and sedimentary microtopography in sequence stratigraphy,the sequence stratigraphic framework of Lianglitage formation in Upper Ordovician is studied according to the well drilling,logging,geophysical data,detailed observations of core and the paleontology.The Lianglitage formation belongs to the sequence Ⅳ of Ordovician.The second member of Lianglitage formation is prograde sedimentation in highstand systems tract,and is favorable for developing reef flat.The development scale and thickness of reef flat are controlled by the variation of secondary sea level.The types and characteristics of karst in the highstand systems tract show that the late highstand systems tract is dissolved and cemented by the meteoric fresh water and mixed water.Penecontemporaneous karstification is developed at the top of parasequence and high place of geomorphology.Atmospheric diagenetic lens is formed.The developing regulations and controlling factors of penecontemporaneous karstification can provide new clues to the prediction and exploration of favorable reservoir in this area.展开更多

Methods: Rat lenses were cultured in vitro and cataract was induced by H2O2. The level of intracellular free Ca2+ was measured by fluorescence determination with fura-2/AM. The expression of m-calpain protein in LECs was detected with immunohistochemical method. The proteolytic activity in LECs was measured using a fluorogenic synthetic substrate. Results: There were significant differences of the level of intracellular free Ca2+ (P=0.001, 0.000, 0.000), the expression of m-calpain (P=0.001, 0.000, 0.000) and the proteolytic activity of calpain (P=0.001, 0.000, 0.000) between H2O2-induced and control group at 6, 12 and 24 h, respectively. Conclusions: H2O2 can increase intracellular free Ca2+, then enhance the expression and proteolytic activity of calpain which may play a role in the mechanism of oxidative cataract of rat.展开更多
A novel level-shift LDMOS (lateral double-diffused metal oxide semiconductor) structure with the HV (high voltage) -interconnection for a 600 V-HVIC (high voltage integrated circuit) on thick SOI (silicon on in...A novel level-shift LDMOS (lateral double-diffused metal oxide semiconductor) structure with the HV (high voltage) -interconnection for a 600 V-HVIC (high voltage integrated circuit) on thick SOI (silicon on insulator) is proposed. There are two original points in the proposed structure. One is the formation of the double floating p-layers under the HV-interconnection to prevent potential distribution in the drift from disturbing due to the HV-interconnection, and the other is a good combination between the LDMOS structure and multiple trench isolation to obtain the isolation performance over 600 V. From the proposed structure, the high blocking capability of the LDMOS, including both off- and on-breakdown voltages over 600 V and high hot carrier instability, and the isolation performance over 1,200 V can be obtained successfully. This paper will show numerical and experimental results in detail.展开更多

To evaluate the therapeutic effects of these treatments, organic...Gene and drug therapies are being developed to al eviate vision loss in patients with Stargardt’s disease and age-related macular degeneration (AMD). To evaluate the therapeutic effects of these treatments, organic sol-vents are routinely used to extract and quantify bisretinoid lipofuscin constituents, such as N-retinylidene-N-retinyl-ethanolamine (A2E) and all-trans-retinal dimer (ATR-dimer). By high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), we found that A2E and ATR-dimer were both altered by tetrahydrofuran (THF) and chloroform, but were stable in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) or methanol (MeOH). In addition, cyclohexane and ethanol (EtOH) did not alter ATR-dimer, whereas an alteration of A2E occurred in EtOH. On the basis of these findings, we designed processes II-IV, generated by modifications of process I, a routine method to measure bisretinoid compounds in vivo. Extra amounts of either ATR-dimer or A2E in mouse eyecups were released by processes II-IV versus process I. Efforts to clarify the effects of organic solvents on lipofuscin pigments are important because such studies can guide the handling of these fluoro-phores in related experiments.展开更多
