[Method] With the aid of statistic analysis, the uniformity, stability and correlation of 14 pre-selected characteristics were analyzed. [Result] The expression of peduncle length of terminal flower had low uniformity within a variety; the expres- sion of main stem thickness was not stable in continuous growing cycles; there were four pairs of quantitative characteristics which are (very) significantly correlated, namely, leaf length and leaf width, diameter of flower head and length of outer ligu- late floret, number of ligulate floret whorls and number of ligulate floret, leaf width and width of terminal leaflet of pinnate leaves. Based on the requirements of char- acteristic selection and the results of statistic analysis, five characteristics including peduncle length of terminal flower, thickness of the main stem, leaf width, length of outer ligulate floret and number of ligulate floret were deleted. [Conclusion] For the first time, this paper introduced the application of statistic analysis on the selection of quantitative characteristics.展开更多

It is reported that most companies have chosen to use the two-statement option, and that there is some evidence that this choice is related to the size and sign of total Other Comprehensive Income (OCI). On this latter point, the paper emphatically aims to contribute to the literature on accounting policy choice with respect to a similar option in Statement of Financial Accounting Standards [SFAS] 130. Recently,domai...Collaborative f iltering, as one of the most popular techniques, plays an important role in recommendation systems. However,when the user-item rating matrix is sparse,its performance will be degenerate. Recently,domain-specific recommendation approaches have been developed to address this problem.The basic idea is to partition the users and items into overlapping domains, and then perform recommendation in each domain independently. Here, a domain means a group of users having similar preference to a group of products. However, these domain-specific methods consisting of two sequential steps ignore the mutual benefi t of domain segmentation and recommendation. Hence, a unified framework is presented to simultaneously realize recommendation and make use of the domain information underlying the rating matrix in this paper. Based on matrix factorization,the proposed model learns both user preferences of multiple domains and preference selection vectors to select relevant features for each group of products. Besides, local context information is utilized from the user-item rating matrix to enhance the new framework.Experimental results on two widely used datasets, e.g., Ciao and Epinions, demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed model.展开更多

For this reason, a trust domain-based multi-agent model for network resource selection is presented. The model divides the network into numbers of trust domains and prevents the inconsistency of information maintained by different agents through the periodical communication among the agents. The model enables consumers to receive the response from the agents much quicker because the trust values of participators are evalUated and updated dynamically and timely after the completion of each transaction. In order to make users choose the best matching services and give users with trusted services, the model takes into account the similarity between services and the service providers' recognition to the services. Finally, the model illustrates the effectiveness and feasibility according to the experiment.展开更多

Among strong classical philologists, 1 was the only student whose understanding of metaphysics had been based on Avicenna. After a while 1 found myself amid audiences beforehand precluded to compromise milestones of mine. But on the contrary, I embarked to reread both of the Avicenna and Aristotle from entirely different angle again. Inquiring in the concept of Being in both of the Aristotle and Avicenna was the first candidate of my decision. This paper is the result of mentioned concern. In this paper,we propose a systemic architecture of network selection based on context-awareness services,which gathers contextual information that includes such network information,user information and local informat...In this paper,we propose a systemic architecture of network selection based on context-awareness services,which gathers contextual information that includes such network information,user information and local information.This network selection strategy considers the Quality of Service(QoS) and user preferences.Also,it perceives contexts such as speed,coverage percentage and location,etc.,and it eventually performs network selection decision making and network execution based on multiple factors.From the perspective of network decision,it presents two network selection algorithms,namely the fuzzy mathematics evaluation method and multiple attribute decision making using the TOPSIS evaluation method.System simulations suggest that network selection based on the mathematics evaluation method is much faster than the TOPSIS evaluation method.However,the TOPSIS evaluation method is practically more efficient.The network selection method based on context-awareness provides an effective and flexible network vertical handover strategy,and ensures a good accuracy and efficiency.展开更多

In doing so, this essay begins by looking at the foundation and possibility of moral experience as it is presented in the Groundwork for the Metaphysics of Morals. This essay then turns to explore Kant's understanding of external freedom and right as set out in The Metaphysics of Morals and examines the apparent inconsistencies that exist between these concepts and Kant's explication of moral worth. After pointing out the distinction between right and morality, this essay goes on to argue that, strictly speaking, Kant's conception of external freedom and right cannot form part of his moral philosophy (as so defined in the Groundwork). Finally, this essay concludes by arguing that although right and morality are irreconcilable, Kant's account of external freedom and right can nevertheless serve as part of his "moral" philosophy insofar as these concepts represent Kant's attempt to externalize the moral law, or simply expand the definition of morality to cover any action that accords with the right.展开更多

Forests are the main components of terrestrial ecosystems and play an important role in the protection and construction of the national ecological security barrier. For a long time, China’s large-scale afforestation ...Forests are the main components of terrestrial ecosystems and play an important role in the protection and construction of the national ecological security barrier. For a long time, China’s large-scale afforestation had been practiced in areas with rainfall higher than the 400 mm threshold, but the issue of afforestation in high altitudes on the Tibetan Plateau remains elusive in both practical experience and theoretical exploration. It is worth thinking further about what principles should be followed in the selection of tree species and suitable altitudes for afforestation in high-altitude areas, as well as what experiences and lessons of previous afforestation efforts should be applied in high-altitude areas. As per the law of vegetation zonal distribution, this paper argues that afforestation at high altitudes should comply with the principle of vegetation zonal distribution and the low temperature limitation,and points out that afforestation is feasible only within the forest distribution area and below the altitudes of climate timberlines. Furthermore, we demonstrate the potential spatial areas of afforestation, and determine the local tree species that may be used for afforestation based on the existing problems of afforestation in eastern Tibet. In summary, afforestation in high-altitude areas of the eastern Tibetan Plateau must comply with the law of zonal vegetation distribution, focus on the upper limit of altitude and the selection of suitable tree species, and adopt only suitable native tree species.展开更多

In this paper, I will focus on the assault on globalization in the Trump campaign, look at his administration and actions as president, and raise questions concerning whether or not he has betrayed his anti-globalist followers and is pursing business-as-usual for global, corporate capitalism---or something else. In this paper,a prediction model on Chinese annual live hog supply was established.With cointegration test,backward and forward stochastic selection and other methods,four main factors(hog price,prices of inputs in ho...In this paper,a prediction model on Chinese annual live hog supply was established.With cointegration test,backward and forward stochastic selection and other methods,four main factors(hog price,prices of inputs in hog production,the level of hog inventory,as well as emergency and government policy) were chosen from 16 relevant factors to establish the model and make improvement.Applied the improved model,annual live hog supply in China from 2013 to 2016 was predicted in three scenarios.The predicted results showed that if there were no major emergencies from 2013 to 2016,there would be an upward trend in Chinese live hog supply year by year.The supply of live hogs in China in 2013 would be about 707.663 million head,in 2014 would be between 715.935 and 742.969 million head,in 2015 between 734.458 and 779.413 million head,and in 2016 between 750.923 and809.450 million head.展开更多
