A disorder situation of traffic operation always appears in on-ramp junction area of urban freeway,because the operation action for vehicles presents the weaving condition,especially for different vehicle types.Based ...A disorder situation of traffic operation always appears in on-ramp junction area of urban freeway,because the operation action for vehicles presents the weaving condition,especially for different vehicle types.Based on the analysis on the cellular automata theory,and combining with on-site survey data,several key parameters were defined,namely,cellular length,cellular speed,cellular acceleration,updating time interval.In addition,cellular acceleration rule,cellular deceleration rule,random rule,lane-changing rule and other micro-simulation rules were set,and cellular automaton micro-simulation model was set up.Further-more,a micro-simulation module was developed for traffic operation actions of on-ramp junction with Matlab toolbox.Finally,a simulation experiment for traffic operation reliability was done with this micro-simulation module,and the situation of change for on-ramp junction area was obtained under the conditions of different mainline design speed,acceleration lane length,vehicle generation probability and lane-changing probability.The results show that operation reliability for on-ramp junction is determined by the parameters of the probability of vehicle generation and the length of acceleration lane,especially for on-ramp.展开更多
Previous satellite measurements and model simulations have shown that the Asian summer monsoon(ASM) anticyclone is co-located with higher concentrations of pollutants, which are emitted in the continental atmospheri...Previous satellite measurements and model simulations have shown that the Asian summer monsoon(ASM) anticyclone is co-located with higher concentrations of pollutants, which are emitted in the continental atmospheric boundary layer(ABL). Backward trajectory calculations show that the air at the 150-hPa level has the maximum frequency of ABL sources within 30 days over the most intensive convection regions and their downwind areas, which are not located within the ASM anticyclone,but rather at the southern flank or periphery of the ASM anticyclone. The upper tropospheric airs originated from the ABL sources include two parts: one from the ocean, which has the dominant impact to the south of 20°N, particularly over the South China Sea(SCS) and the west tropical Pacific Ocean; and another from the continent, which is dominant between 10°N and 30°N, particularly over the Bay of Bengal(BoB), continental India, the Arabian Sea, and the Arabian Peninsula. It is the latter part that forms the higher pollutant concentration within the ASM anticyclone as shown by satellite measurements. Air in the ABL sources(both polluted and unpolluted) converges to the intensive convection region in the lower troposphere, and then traverses the middle troposphere through a wide group of upward pipes, and finally to the upper troposphere. The location of the bus stop in the on/off-ramp (thereafter downstream or upstream case) is dis...The aim of this paper is to study traffic properties in an on/off-ramp system with a bus stop close to the on/off ramp. The location of the bus stop in the on/off-ramp (thereafter downstream or upstream case) is discussed. The simulation results show that in the two ramp systems, the reasons for traffic congestions are different. In the on-ramp system, buses and cars coming from on-ramp interweave each other, while in the off-ramp system, buses interweave with cars exiting to off-ramp. Thus, in the on-ramp (off-ramp) system, the upstream (downstream) bus stop is helpful to reduce the interweaving situation. Moreover, the negative effect will disappear when the distance between the bus stop and the on/off-ramp is more than 20 cells (i.e. 150 m). These qualitative findings may provide some suggestions on traffic management and optimization.展开更多
The drop structure will fail as a result of local scoring downstream.This paper discusses the influence of a drop structures' upstream slope to local scour.Empirical equations of the scour hole were developed by l...The drop structure will fail as a result of local scoring downstream.This paper discusses the influence of a drop structures' upstream slope to local scour.Empirical equations of the scour hole were developed by laboratory experiment,theoretical assumptions,and regression analysis.These equations include the maximum scour depth and length during the scouring period,the maximum equilibrium scour depth and length,and the unit width scour rate.The four channel slopes(0%,2%,4%,and 6%) before the drop structure has been included in the analysis.A series of laboratory experiments were conducted to obtain 48 groups of experiments and 419 scour hole profiles during the scouring period.The material used in the scour section is uniform non-cohesive and with a median diameter of d50 = 0.5 mm.The results have been used to develop empirical equations via regression analysis to determine the coefficients of theoretical equations.The high correlation coefficient indicates that the equations developed in this study are suitable for verifying the characteristics of a scour hole at drop structure in the sloped channel.The semi-empirical equation is more accurate than the empirical equation.Compared to a horizontal channel,a sloped channel tends to cause a greater equilibriummaximum scour length,shorter equilibrium maximum scour depth,and faster unit-wide scour rate.展开更多
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the impact of electro-acupuncture at the Neiguan(PC 6) acupoint on protein and RNA expression of acid-sensing ion channel 2(ASIC2) and ASIC3 in myocardial ischemia rats.METHODS:Fifty male Spra...OBJECTIVE:To investigate the impact of electro-acupuncture at the Neiguan(PC 6) acupoint on protein and RNA expression of acid-sensing ion channel 2(ASIC2) and ASIC3 in myocardial ischemia rats.METHODS:Fifty male Sprague-Dawley rats were used,weighing(230 ± 50) g.The rats were randomized into a normal group A,model group B,Neiguan(PC 6) group C,Lieque(LU 7) group D,and A-shi points group E.There were 10 rats in each group.Rats were continuously administered 85 mg/kg intravenous isoproterenol daily to establish the model.Successfully modeled rats in groups C,D,and E were given electro-acupuncture treatment.Each group of rats was sacrificed with chloral hydrate(1 mL/100 g) intraperitoneal injection.The left ventricular myocardium was extracted and placed at- 70 ℃ until use.Western blot analysis and real-time PCR were performed to assay protein and RNA expressions of ASIC2 and ASIC3,respectively.Fold changes in RNA expression were quantified with the 2~^(-△△Ct) method.Blood samples were drawn from the aorta abdominalis and tested for creatine kinase-MB(CK-MB) and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) levels using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.RESULTS:Myocardial ischemia rats given electro-acupuncture at the Neiguan(PC 6) acupoint had significantly lower protein and RNA expression of ASIC2 and ASIC3,and CK-MB and LDH levels,compared with model rats(P < 0.01).CONCLUSION:Electro-acupuncture at the Neiguan(PC 6) acupoint can not only decrease the protein and RNA expression of ASIC2 and ASIC3,but also inhibit the opening of ASICs and reduce the cardiomyocyte damage in myocardial ischemia rats.展开更多

Here we demonstrate the efficiency enhancement for the OAM photon quantum interface based on the frequency upconversion from telecom wavelength to visible regime by sum-frequency generation.
