Experi...Specimens of steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) in volume ratios of 0%, 0.5%, 1% and 1.5% were prepared to study the supporting effect of SFRC at these diffterent volume ratios in a deep soft rock tunnel. Experiments with mechanical properties of compressive strength in cubic specimens, cleave strength in cylindrical specimens and four-point flexure strength of sheet metal specimens were carded out. The experimental results indicate that SFRC in a volume ratio of 1% is superior in ranking to other volume ratios in terms of technique and economics. By means of a numerical simulation, given the characteristics of soft rock deformation and damage at great depth, a new support substitution scheme of SFRC to replace plain concrete is proposed. The results of an industrial trial show that the support provided by SFRC can withstand large deformations of the surrounding rock. Good resuits have been obtained in a practical anplication.展开更多

One of most important risk which should be prevented is large deformation or destruction of the steel lining. The specific deformation of the steel lining needs to be inside the acceptable value. This paper presents lined rock cavern (LRC) concept and specific deformations, which can occur under operation of underground gas storage. Analysis is performed with different (3D model and axis symmetrical) FEM models and analytical model. We made a comparison between analytical calculation and FEM calculation. Concrete wall is mechanically not regarded as reinforced concrete structure which means that concrete will crack. Finally, we determined the minimum value of Young's modulus, which satisfies the condition of maximum deformation of steel lining.展开更多
Based on the assumption of additional three-hinge arching action,an analytical method was proposed to predict the additional load of lateral restraint reinforced concrete (RC) slab under compressive membrane action (C...Based on the assumption of additional three-hinge arching action,an analytical method was proposed to predict the additional load of lateral restraint reinforced concrete (RC) slab under compressive membrane action (CMA),and its ultimate load could be obtained by adding pure bending load. The experiment of twelve one-way RC slabs supported by shear-walls was carried out,and the calculations of this proposed method provide good predictions for the experimental evidences. The influence of some design parameters on bearing capacity was also investigated. It is shown that the effect of vertical load on ending shear-wall on the ultimate load capacity can be generally neglected when the bending restraint is satisfied. The additional load capacity also decreases with the increase of the span-to-height ratio of central slab. When reducing the reinforcement area,the additional load capacity is increased,and this method can be used to save steel or enhance the ultimate load capacity of low steel ratio slab.展开更多

The following properties of them are proved.(i) An empirical model e is contextual if and only if R_C(e) > 0;(ii) the Ro C function R_C is convex, lower semi-continuous and un-increasing under an affine mapping on the set E M of all empirical models;(iii) e is non-contextual if and only if C(e) = 0;(iv) e is contextual if and only if C(e) > 0;(v) e is strongly contextual if and only if C(e) = 1. Also, a relationship between RC(e) and C(e) is obtained. Lastly, the Ro C of three empirical models is computed and compared.
