The changing criterion of the vertical displacement was established and the relationship between the deflection and the rotary motion of roof block was determined. Regarding a mining face in Shangwan Mine, the responsing laws of the deflection and horizontal thrust of the roof rock beam were obtained through FLAC3D numerical analysis. The results show that the structure instability of the cracked roof rock beam depends on the interaction between the vertical load and the horizontal thrust.For the roof rock beam, when the vertical load keeps constant, the horizontal thrust fluctuating rises with increasing deflection. The horizontal thrust increases constantly with the deeper buried depth and the smaller span.展开更多

Trinucleotide repeats are located in non-coding and coding regions of the genome. Studies of bacteria, yeast, mice and man have helped to unravel some features of the mechanism of trinucleotide expansion. Looped DNA structures comprising trinucleotide repeats are processed during replication and/or repair to generate deletions or expansions. Most in vivo data are consistent with a model in which expansion and deletion occur by different mechanisms. Based on deformation and failure characteristics of the second belt conveyor roadway at level II of Zhuxianzhuang coal mine, laboratory experiments, numerical calculation and field test were adopted to analyze the com...Based on deformation and failure characteristics of the second belt conveyor roadway at level II of Zhuxianzhuang coal mine, laboratory experiments, numerical calculation and field test were adopted to analyze the composition and microstructure of mudstone, the law of mudstone hydration and its strength weakening induced by water, the characteristics of surrounding rock deformation and failure under the action of confined water. Results showed that montmorillonite clay minerals accounted for as much as 76% of mudstone, with a large number of pores existing in the microstructure. Besides, as the molecular structure of montmorillonite changed, mudstone microstructure damage occurred with the macroscopic manifestation of its theological instability. Weakening degree of confined water on residual strength of mudstone was almost 50%. The instability mechanism of soft rock roadway caused by high confined water is that surrounding rock circulates the process of "fracture-seepage-mud ding-closed" twice, which weakens its strength and leads to roadway instability. A combined support technology, namely the, "high-toughness sealing layer + hollow grouting cables + full-length anchoring bolts with deep borehole" was proposed. Based on field observation, the soft rock roadway was controlled effectively, which also verified the effectiveness of new control technology for surrounding rock.展开更多

To have reliable model, effect of thermal radi...In this work, the effect of various effective dimensionless numbers and moisture contents on initiation of instability in combustion of moisty organic dust is calculated. To have reliable model, effect of thermal radiation is taken into account. One- dimensional flame structure is divided into three zones: preheat zone, reaction zone and post-flame zone. To investigate pulsating characteristics of flame, governing equations are rewritten in dimensionless space-time ((, r/, ~) coordinates. By solving these newly achieved governing equations and combining them, which is completely discussed in body of article, a new expression is obtained. By solving this equation, it is possible to predict initiation of instability in organic dust flame. According to the obtained results by increasing Lewis number, threshold of instability happens sooner. On the other hand, pulsating is postponed by increasing Damk6hler number, pyrolysis temperature or moisture content. Also, by considering thermal radiation effect, burning velocity predicted by our model is closer to experimental results.展开更多

The meander channel is one of the most common channel patterns in nature.The characteristics of the flow and sediment in a meander channel which have significant effect on the development of watercourse are important ...The meander channel is one of the most common channel patterns in nature.The characteristics of the flow and sediment in a meander channel which have significant effect on the development of watercourse are important subjects in river dynamics.The transition of the flow patterns in a meander channel concerns with the development mode of the channel pattern and the river regime including the generation conditions of the three-dimensional coherent vortex and secondary flow,the hierarchical scale of coherent vortex in different flow conditions,the large-scale turbulent eddy structure adapted to a meander,etc.In this paper we study the laminar flow instability of the two-dimensional channel in a meander channel.It is essentially different from that in a straight channel:The neutral curve will move forward and the critical Reynolds number will decrease.The flow is unstable in response to a wider range of the disturbance wave number,or the laminar flow instability can happen more easily.The above results could not be obtained in the traditional hydrodynamic stability theory so that our work in this paper would make up for the deficiency and blank in this aspect.展开更多
