Future and Scientific Conception of the World without Philosophy？

Often conceived as metaphysical approach, in the XX Century, philosophy is object of a crusade antimetaphysical in the movement of Logical Positivism. I will try to demonstrate that a philosophical perspective is conceivable even in the scientific conception of the world elaborated by the neopositivists. I discuss this point of view with attention to the turn represented by pragmatic philosophy of Neurath, which represents a crucial passage for the future of philosophy. In this vision, the science is not conceivable without philosophy, namely without an open and pluralist scientific philosophy. The philosophy--so--is not insufficient too for the perspective of scientific conception of the world.

What is the purpose of launching the World Journal of Pharmacology?

The first issue of the World Journal of Pharmacology(WJP), whose preparatory work was initiated on January 10, 2011, will be published on February 9, 2012. The WJP editorial board has now been established and consists of 100 distinguished experts from 23 countries. Our purpose of launching the WJP is to publish peerreviewed, high-quality articles via an open-access online publishing model, thereby acting as a platform for communication between peers and the wider public, and maximizing the benefits to editorial board members, authors and readers.

World Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology （WJOG） is a new member of the World Series journals and is launched in June 10, 2012. WJOG is an open access peer-reviewed bimonthly journal that will cover obstet-rics and gynecology including reproductive medicine. The intention of WJOG is to publish papers that de-scribe and infuence the situation all around the world. The journal will publish both basic research and well as clinical fndings. What is the purpose of launching the World Journal of Nephrology?

The launch of the World Journal of Nephrology （WJN） has distinct purposes. Its main purpose is to incorporate the fields of diabetes, hypertension, urology, cardiol-ogy and neurology, which are related to kidney disease, and to make all of our readers, contributors and allied health professionals feel at home with the WJN. The WJN aims to rapidly report new theories, methods and techniques for prevention, diagnosis, treatment, reha-bilitation and nursing skill in the feld of nephrology. The WJN will cover diagnostic imaging, disorders of kidney development, renal obstruction, atrophy and regenera-tion, kidney tumors, renal pharmacology and therapy, renal replacement therapies including transplantation, and Chinese herbal medicine. The WJN issues will in-clude an editorial, frontier, invited review of articles and commentaries in addition to original articles submitted. The WJN will solicit articles from investigators in areas of diabetes and hypertension, and high priority will be given to those articles with an emphasis on the pre-vention of dialysis. Final decision for publication will be based on the merit of the article, language and lucidity.

The Tactical Mind in Soccer： The Habit of the Brazilian Squad in the 1970＇s World Cup

This work aims at understanding the tactical action of soccer players from the point of view of Peirce＇s pragmatism. We will focus on the maxim of pragmatism, in which the elements of every concept enter into logical thinking through the doors of perception and leave through the doors of utilitarian actions. In this paper, we investigate the formation of a habit able to manage collective actions on a soccer field. The efficiency of this habit is related to collateral experience shared among soccer players： characteristics of high performance sports training. This unique experience orchestrates perceptions and reasoning, leading to efficient combination of conclusions and influences collective actions. We will analyze the concept that we call avalanche in bow-arrow applied to the 1970＇s Brazilian soccer team.

Digital Ecologies as Tractarian Systems

This paper explores Wittgenstein＇s early work as it relates to emerging philosophical problems in ecological modeling. Here I use his thought to structure a logical framework from which to discuss ecological simulation models in a way that captures how these dynamic representations describe a world from which we can draw logical inferences about real-world ecological processes. I argue that Wittgenstein＇s Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus provides a way of reading problems that arise in using simulation as a way to make inferences about the world. Conversely, ecological simulation provides an illustration of a Tractarian system, because the digital world it creates completely describes and is defined by the programing language. This reading is a novel, but productive, way that notes that the language used in modeling requires a hermeneutical approach to make inferences about modeling/real-world relationships.

Historical Reconstruction of the Literary Family

The process of reconstructing the history of the literary family is also a process of logical construction. By focusing on the transformation of political and cultural institutions and sorting through the historical evolution both of literature and of distinguished families, we can describe the historical evolution of the literary family in Chinese dynastic history, that is, the succession and the orderly progress of its three forms over three periods. The first period from the Han Dynasty to the Northern and Southern Dynasties saw the emergence of＂literary families of classical scholars,＂ and their evolutionary successors, ＂literary families with hereditary power.＂ In the second period of Sui and Tang Dynasties, this latter group coexisted and to some extent merged with ＂literary families of scholar-officials＂ in a composite form. The third period of Song, Ming and Qing Dynasties witnessed the continuation and transformation of the mainstream form of ＂literary families of scholar-officials.＂ In addition to the above groups, there existed a multiplicity of other forms. To construct an academic paradigm of the history of the literary family, we need to integrate four levels of research into an organic unity： research on individual literary families, research on families in specific periods and in specific regions, and research on the literary family across history.

Cultural logic of Marx's philosophical revolution and its implications in modern times

Inflated nationalism, extreme statism and a purely speculative form of expression were the three main components of the modem mainstream culture of the German nation. Only through a scientific critique of these three main components could a new philosophy develop. That is the cultural logic of Marx＇s philosophical revolution, which emerged and developed through a critique of historiography, socialism and political economy, rather than in an isolated framework of traditional philosophy. The cultural logic of Marx＇s philosophical revolution offers two lessons for us in developing Marxist philosophy in China. First, to fail to understand and study Marxism as a whole and conduct dialogue and interaction across all fields of Marxism would be a deviation from the cultural logic of Marx＇s philosophical revolution and the path of development of Marxist philosophy. Second, the core task of Marxist philosophical studies is the Sinicization of Marxist philosophy in China. This involves making methodological summaries of contemporary scientific findings and reflecting upon the most important issues of Chinese-style socialism, providing at the philosophical level and from the perspective of world history a scientific interpretation of the process, mechanisms, characteristics, patterns and trends of contemporary Chinese social development that will yield a guide for practice.
