This framework is also tested and supported through a prototype based on a travel domain,IPVita （intelligent platform of virtual travel agency）.展开更多

Three varieties of macro algae have been mos...In Indonesian marine area about 555 species of seaweed have been identified and of these 55 species are being commercially utilized and have been successesfully cultivated. Three varieties of macro algae have been most successfully cultivated, i.e., Eucheuma cottony, Eucheuma spinosum and Gracilaria verucosa. The global financial crisis has reduced the worldwide demand for carrageenan by 20-30%. Demand continues to be slow and there is little evidence so far that this situation will change in the short term. There are signs, however, that demand might start to pick up on the 1st quarter of next year but is not expected to meet the same level as experienced during 2008. Based on survey data, the is about 1.2 million ha which centered around 15 provinces. In potential area of Indonesian coastal water for seaweed cultivation these areas, the production of Eucheuma cottonii （Kappaphycus alvarezii （Doty）） and Eucheuma spinosum （Eucheuma denticulatum （N. L. Burman） F. S. Collins ＆ Hervey） has amounted to around 42% of the supply. These natural resources provide excellent prospects for future development of the seaweed business in Indonesia.展开更多

In this paper it is considered the recent migration from rural to urban areas and the depopulation of the rural areas. The result of these trends reflects the development of the new infrastructure and tertiary activities. In these investigations, statistical data processed and geovisualised in GIS were used. Since radio spectrum is limited, an optimal utilization of it is required, by adopting advanced spectrum management methods. The current transition from analogue to digital terrestrial television may act as a unique opportunity, in order to reallocate this valuable spectrum resource. After the transition, a part of the traditional analogue television spectrum bands will be completely released, allowing for the use of this spectrum by sophisticated wireless systems. Furthermore, digital terrestrial television interleaves spectrum bands in order to avoid possible interference between adjacent channels used by broadcasting stations, thus leaving spectrum holes exploited by novel wireless networks, namely unlicensed secondary systems. This paper focuses on the innovation capacities of the senior corporate managers of listed companies in China and the complex relationship between firm performance and the operating environment to study and analyze the management and development of Chinese enterprises. Through relevant theoretical analysis and development of research hypotheses using the A-shares in Shanghai and Shenzhen listed companies announced in 2007 and 2008, the authors design an empirical model. The study found that in Chinese listed companies, the higher the innovation spirit of senior corporate managers, the better their business performances; the stronger the dynamic and complexity of the operating environment, the more the corporate managers＇ innovation ability will be developed.展开更多

This results in a substantial decline of profits and more operating difficulties in the downstream electric enterprises. The listed companies in both coal supply and power industries have quality assets and are the representatives of these industries. Through the analysis of the financial and operational status of the listed coal supply and power companies since 2007, the reasons for the business development difficulties in the electric power industry were discussed. Recommendations were provided including improving the coal pricing system, increasing the degree of business integration of the coal and electric power industries, and adjusting energy structure.展开更多

Thus ＂NTBF＂ （New Technology Based Firms） are increasingly developing, that are able to act both as a major player in the innovation process, and as a link between the market and the production world and that need not only venture capital to cope with the large initial investment, but also such figures that, with their leadership qualities, are able to anticipate the market development. As a result, the emergence of the knowledge society has increasingly driven companies to search for new business figures, playing both the role of financing partners and of valuable support to the entrepreneur in running a business. Such distinguishing characteristics appear to be peculiar to the figure of the business angel that, thanks to the know-how and international contacts, acts not only as a simple partner but also as a leading force within the company, who is able to simplify the decision process of the business and drive it to plan profitable investment and winning strategies. Therefore, the present work is aimed at understanding how such a figure is crucial to the development of new companies operating in emerging economies being, as well, technologically advanced, as it is the case for Estonia, which is called the ＂Silicon Valley of the Baltic Sea＂. Thus, the work will first focus on the functions, organization and the benefits resulting from the involvement of business angels and, secondly, on the reasons why this figure is preferable to other operators involved in venture capital, namely venture capitalists. Finally, the good practices implemented in Europe by the various associations of business angels will be analyzed, paying particular attention to the Italian context, in order to consider the opportunity to develop, even in the Baltic Republics area, a similar institution being able to ensure, by promoting contact between entrepreneurs and business angels, the proper development of businesses, especially starting-up companies.展开更多
