MULTI-AGENT BASED DISTRIBUTED MANUFACTURING EXECUTION SYSTEM MODEL

A multi-agent based manufacturing execution system (MES) model is presented. It is open, modula-rized, distributed, configurable, integratable and maintainable. By analyzing the MES domain in manufacturing systems, this paper proposes a multi-agent based MES model and analyzes the partitioned functions of MES in the model using unified modeling language (UML) diagrams, and establishes the ongoing implemented MES architecture. This MES can be facilely integrated with the enterprise resource planning (ERP), the floor control system (FCS), and the other manufacturing applications.

Forestland prediction of China based on forest ecosystem services for the first half of 21st century

A new model was developed to predict forestland demand of China during the years of 2010-2050 in terms of the concept of forest ecosystem services. On the basis of the relationship between forest ecosystem services and classified forest management, we hypothesized that the ecological-forest provides ecological services, whereas commercial-forest supplies wood and timber production, and the influences of the growth of population, social-economic development target, forest management methods and the technology changes on forest resources were also taken into account. The prediction reveals that the demand of total forestland of China will be 244.8, 261.2 and 362.2 million ha by the year 2010, 2020 and 2050, respectively. The results demonstrated that China will be confronted with a shortage of forest resources, especially with lack of ecological-oriented forests, in the future. It is suggested that sustainable management of forest resources must be reinforced and more attention should be drown no enhancing the service function of forest ecosystem.

Evaluation System and Actualization of Selection Supplier in ERP Enterprise

Suppliers become an essential factor of enterprise competitiveness. The analytic hierarchy process is a kind of Decision-making method with the combination of quantity and quality. This paper presents the evaluation system of supplier selection, using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to select the optimum supplier in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) enterprise. In order to reduce factor of manmade and increase exactitude, this paper innovates to use a real database in ERP system for evaluation. It also gives an example that one enterprise selects supplier.

ISM analysis on enterprise resource planning(ERP) implementation

Factors that influence enterprise resource planning(ERP) implementation in enterprises were described, and according to their interaction with each other, these factors were qualitatively processed by using interpretative structural model(ISM) method, and a multilevel stratum structure model for influential factors of implementing ERP was established. Through the model, the critical factors that influence ERP imple- mentation in enterprises can be found. This will have great theoretic and realistic sig- nificance on designing effective management system of ERP implementation in enter- prises.

Product-Oriented Integrated CAPP System

The necessi ty of product oriented integrated computer aided process planning (CAPP) is analy zed, and the system architecture and the main functions are described in detail. The key issues of the system, such as the product oriented process planning me thod, the human machine cooperation in process planning, the generation of manu facture bill of material (MBOM) and the dynamic data exchanging technology betwe en CAPP and enterprise resource planning (ERP), are discussed. The CAPP system h as been applied at a CIMS environment corporation successfully.

Research on the key technology of mobile ERP

A new business management mode-agile & convenient management mode (ACM) was proposed because of large scale mobile computing and mobile business. As an efficient approach to ACM, Mobile ERP (MERP), including its concept and four-tier architecture was introduced firstly. Then, the two key technologies of implementing MERP about message service and wireless WAP service were developed. Meanwhile, an official MERP system was also implemented based on our CERP software system by aglets. And it was applied by Henan Tongli Cement Group in China. In comparison with the traditional ERP system, the new system could improve the efficiency and level of management, and reduce the management cost of enterprise.

Organizing of Virtual Enterprise for Customized Artificial Joint and Scheduling of Manufacturing Resources Based on Manufacturing Grid

In order to improve efficiency of developing customized artificial joint, a virtual enterprise is organized based on the manufacturing grid. The application-oriented framework of the virtual enterprise is created for organization of the virtual enterprise. The manufacturing system of the virtual enterprise is built up based on the exterior grid and manufacturing subsystems of member enterprises are set up based on the interior grid. Furthermore, according to characteristic matching of manufacturing resources, the scheduling flow is studied in detail and the related scheduling strategies are established. The scheduling procedure is divided into distributed scheduling stage and local scheduling stage.Based on the manufacturing grid, the organization of the virtual enterprise for customized artificial joint and the corresponding scheduling strategies can be utilized to shorten developing cycle and reduce produce cost.

International Supply Chain Management （ISCM）： An Emergent Perspective on Internationalization Driven by Information and Communications Technology （ICT）

The focus of the article is on the contribution of the perspective of supply chain management （SCM） to the explanation of internationalization processes. The empirical study is based on case studies of 20 small- and medium-sized enterprises （SMEs） with international activities from China, India, New Zealand, and Singapore. All chosen firms were founded after 1980 in order to capture retrospectively the whole globalization process of each firm. All sample firms operate their supply chains （SCs） on the basis of information and communications technology （ICT）. Depending on size, strategy, business model, industry, and mindset of the managers, firms use ICT on a range from integrating individual functional areas to integrating the whole SC through enterprise resource planning （ERP） and customer relationship management （CRM） systems.

Sustainable Tourism Development Management of Local Cultural Landscapes

Nowa days,ecological and cultural tourism,especially those ancient villages and towns in China,have attracted an in- creasing number of tourists because of their unique cultural fea- tures.However,rapid development of tourism brings economic benefits,but results in a series of problems that threaten further tourism development and protection of ancient towns,such as over-commercialization and tourism urbanization.Taking Long- men ancient town as an example,this paper presented a sustain- able way of preserving and developing resources of ancient vil- lages and towns.First,identify cultural features and the extent of ancient villages and towns,and find the approach through which a cultural landscape zoning can be applied.Second,define a coop- erative function area to release the pressure on core areas and protect their authentic cultures by extending tourism space.Third, balance tourism development with traditional industries to en- hance the sustainability of community economies.

The Impact of Enterprise Resource Planning （ERP） System on the Cost and Price of Auditing Auditor＇s Perspective

Technology plays a key role in today＇s business environment. Many companies greatly rely on computers and software to provide accurate information to effectively manage their business processes. It is becoming increasingly necessary for all businesses to incorporate information technology solutions to operate successfully. One way for many corporations to adopt information technology （IT） on a large scale is by installing enterprise resource planning （ERP） systems to accomplish their business transactions and data-processing needs. ERP systems are software packages that enable the integration of business processes throughout an organization. This study aims to determine the effect of the ERP system on the cost of auditing period compared with traditional computerized （non-ERP） systems. According to cost analysis, the study also points out the changes in audit price. The methodology used in this research is survey-based data collection. The questionnaires are sent to auditors who are working with companies with ERP systems. The answers are processed and analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences （SPSS） 20. The data are performed using the statistical test to determine the effect of ERP usage on the cost of auditing process and pricing policy of auditors. The findings of this study are： （1） Companies with ERP systems are reducing their auditing costs; and （2） Auditing companies are not implying a low rate of price to their customers using ERP.

Modeling the Appraisal of Cloud Systems＇ Implementation

Intensity of competition, especially global competition, has driven many organizations to search for innovative ways to improve productivity and performance. This trend has led many firms to adopt approaches to implement cloud systems. Cloud systems have distinct characteristics that differentiate it from traditional internet services, due to a number of significant innovation factors. For example, firms need improved access to high-speed intemet as well as access to customer relationship management （CRM） and enterprise resource planning （ERP） capacities. This means that the interest of many firms in the implementation of cloud systems has increased. Although cloud systems are designed to facilitate knowledge transfer, currently, there is no method to ensure that knowledge transfer is useful or relevant to a firm. This in turn means that finns need to ensure that the cloud system has the capabilities to screen knowledge for compliance against some known knowledge characteristics. The use of cloud systems could result in an efficient delivery of innovation knowledge in an effective way. This paper presents an approach for assessment of the successful implementation of cloud systems. This paper also discusses the various success factors of cloud systems for global innovation.
