According to the results,(1) corn production cost in China is the highest among these three countries;(2) the rapid growth of labor cost and land cost is the major factor that promotes the increase of total corn production cost in China;(3) the level of agricultural mechanization in China has been gradually improving, and the gap between agricultural mechanization levels in China and other two countries is constantly narrowing;(4) differing from the U.S. and Brazil,China exhibits a "high input, low output" agricultural production mode. Based on the above analyses, corresponding suggestions have been presented to reduce corn production cost in China.展开更多

The method used was the bibliographic review and analysis of secondary data from different sources, associated with the Market Orientation Theory and the Value Chain Theory. Nowadays, China is Brazil's main commercial partner in the international market, but taking into account the chicken meat and its derivatives, having Brazil as the first worldwide exporter and China, the second largest consumer, an effective commercial relationship has not been established yet. To understand the poultry market exchanges between Brazil and China, a framework was built to demonstrate the characteristics and factors found to influence country negotiations, considering current reality and future perspectives. Considering the Theory of Market Orientation, it is concluded that Brazil has effective conditions to consolidate itself as a major supplier of chicken meat and derivatives to China, because it shows determinant characteristics and market factors that allows the association of the national poultry value chain to the demands of the Chinese consumers, but some adjustments are needed in the sphere of international politics.展开更多

This paper presents a debate on how different epis- temic climate science communities deal with the concept of time by considering the social construction of climate imageries. To do so, we undertake two case studies on how China and Brazil's climate communities have shaped situated knowledge based on different historical social experiences that created different modes of dealing with climate change: China has created a concept of time based on practical climate experiences, while Brazil has developed a futuristic sense of how the climate will behave in the future. Finally, we address the idea of cosmopolitan climate imageries originated from hybrid forums and constructed by stocks of knowledge which have been shared transhistorically by different epistemic communities towards a common climate governance.展开更多
