目的探讨中国三峡地区严重胸部创伤(SCT)的流行病学特征及临床特点,分析影响SCT病死率的危险因素。方法收集重庆市急救医疗中心、三峡大学第一临床医学院、重庆医科大学附属第一医院及第三军医大学附属大坪医院1990年1月至2009年12月救... 目的探讨中国三峡地区严重胸部创伤(SCT)的流行病学特征及临床特点,分析影响SCT病死率的危险因素。方法收集重庆市急救医疗中心、三峡大学第一临床医学院、重庆医科大学附属第一医院及第三军医大学附属大坪医院1990年1月至2009年12月救治的SCT患者的临床资料,建立创伤信息数据库,分析SCT流行病学特征,并通过定群多因素研究,对15项可能的危险因素进行多变量Logistic回归分析。结果与2000年前比较,2000年后的钝性伤构成比(68.5%比74.7%,P=0.006)、锐器伤构成比(12.2%比15.9%,P=0.039)明显升高;院前时间明显缩短[(3.45±2.38)h比(2.20±4.39)h,P<0.01],转院率明显增高(32.39%比36.80%,P=0.01);胸简明损伤定级标准(AIS)(3.56±0.71比3.43±0.58,P<0.01)、修正创伤评分(RTS)(7.14±2.18比6.93±1.07,P<0.01)明显增高,肺部感染(12.63±4.79比17.16±6.41,P=0.019)及创伤失血性休克(2.4±0.75比3.4±1.34,P=0.008)治疗效果也显著提高;首要致死原因为低血容量休克(59.41%)。影响SCT病死率的最终独立危险因素为失血性休克(B=1.710,OR=1.291,P=0.001)、多器官功能障碍综合征(MODS)(B=3.453,OR=1.028,P<0.001)、肺部感染(B=2.396,OR=10.941,P<0.001)、腹腔脏器损伤(B=1.542,OR=1.210,P=0.005)、胸AIS值≥4(B=0.487,OR=1.622,P<0.001);影响SCT病死率的保护因素为年龄<60岁(B=-0.035,OR=0.962,P=0.01)、格拉斯哥昏迷评分(GCS)值≥12(B=-0.635,OR=0.320,P=0.014)。结论 2000年后收治的SCT总体伤势更为严重,而并发症发生率明显下降,SCT救治水平明显提高。年龄、并发症、胸AIS值和GCS准确评估是影响SCT救治结局的独立因素。 展开更多

The level-trench method is a traditional tillage operation to develop a drainage system on slope land in the Three Gorges region. Before crops are planted, farmers prepare the land with level trenches spaced 3-1o m apart, depending on the slope gradient: steeper slopes require shorter distances. Little scientific analysis has been done on the use of traditional level trenches for soil conservation. We conducted a field investigation and simulation experiments, and present a comparison between the spacing of level trenches and the slope length required for rill initiation. The results indicate that the spacing of level trenches in farmland is close to the slope length required for rill initiation in the experimental plots, and regression models of trench spacing with the gradient and the slope length required for rill initiation with the gradient have similar formats; the coefficients of determination (R2) for the two equations are 0.99 and 0.88, respectively. There were some differences between the field survey and experiments, but we conclude that the traditional level-trench method has an important role in preventing rill initiation. 展开更多

Reservoir sedimentation dynamics were interpreted using Cs-137 activity, particle size and rainfall erosivity analysis in conjunetion with sediment profile coring. Two sediment cores were retrieved from the Changshou reservoir of Chongqing, which was dammed in 1956 at the outlet of Longxi catchment in the Three Gorges Area using a gravity corer equipped with an aerylie tube with an inner diameter of 6 em. The extracted cores were sectioned at 2 cm intervals. All sediment core samples were dried, sieved (〈2 mm) and weighed. 137Cs activity was measured by y-ray spectrometry. The particle size of the core samples was measured using laser particle size granulometry. Rainfall erosivity was calculated using daily rainfall data from meteorological records and information on soil conservation history was collated to help interpret temporal sedimentation trends. The peak fallout of 137Cs in 1963 appeared at a depth of 84 cm in core A and 56 cm in core B. The peaks of sand contents were related to the peaks of rainfall erosivity which were recorded in 1982, 1989, 1998 and 2005, respectively. Sedimentation rates were calculated according to the sediment profile chronological controls of 1956, 1963, 1982, 1989, 1998 and 2oo5. The highest sedimentation rate was around 2.0 cm·a^-1 between 1982 and 1988 when the Chinese national reform and the Household Responsibility System were implemented, leading to accelerated soil erosion in the Longxi catchment. Since 1990s, and particularly since 2005, sedimentation rates clearly decreased, since a number of soil conservation programs have been carried out in the catchment. The combined use of ^137Cs chronology, particle size and rainfall erosivity provided a simple basis for reconstructing reservoir sedimentation dynamics in the context of both physical processes and soil restoration. Its advantages include avoiding the need for full blown sediment yield reconstruction and the concomitant consideration of core correlation and corrections for autochthonous inputs and reservoir trap efficiency. 展开更多

Influential Factors in Employment Location Selection Based on “Push-Pull” Migration Theory—A Case Study in Three Gorges Reservoir Area in China 被引量:10

In China, farmers employed in non-farm work have become important socio-economic actors, but few studies have examined the farmers' perspective in making their work location choices. Based on "push-pull" migration theory, this paper utilizes sectional data from a 2013 survey of farmers in China's Three Gorges Reservoir area to empirically analyze the factors influencing migrant workers' choice of employment location. The results indicate that 60.46% of laborers have migrated from their home province, whereas 39.54% have remained in their home province. Focusing on personal, household, and community characteristics—in addition to the economic characteristics of the sample counties—multinomial logistic regression models reveal that farmer-laborers' employment location decisions are influenced by their personal capital endowment(age, years of education and social networks), family structure(the number of laborers, elders, children and students), home village characteristics(location, economic development level and the degree of relief of the land) and home county economic development level. Notably, male and female laborers' location decisions reveal a converging trend, and their differences are not pronounced. Per capita arable land area has little influence on location decisions, whereas the educational level of laborers has a significant impact. Three copper wares of Han Dynasty, decorated with golden and silvery pattems in Chongqing Municipal, Three Gorges Region, were analyzed by SEM (scanning electron microscope) and EDAX (energy dispersive X-ray analysis). The results reveal that mercury was used to melt gold or silver to form amalgam as late as Chinese Han Dynasty. Ancient craftsmen sheared gold foils to attain tiny gold trips that make them easy to melt into liquid mercury. After gilded, artefacts were well polished to show the brilliance of gold. As an important discovery, the silver amalgam was also detected on one copper ware. It is worth noting that silver was mixed with gold in liquid mercury to form silver amalgam which is apt to form amalgam and make silver amalgam layer stick to bronze surface tightly. This successful technology is derived from a prolonged accumulation of Chinese craftsmen on mining and metallurgical handicraft, 展开更多

In the Three Gorges Area of China, soil erosion and the resultant non-point source pollution and ecological degradation have endangered agricultural ecosystems and fresh water reservoirs. Although efforts have been undertaken to reduce soil and water losses from slope land used for citrus production, information on the effects of management practices on soil fertility indices is either limited or nonexistent. This study was conducted to compare the effects of 10 years of various management practices, citrus intercropped with white clover (WC), citrus mulched with straw (SM), citrus intercropped with contour hedgerows (CH), citrus orchard land with impermeable membrane (IM), and citrus intercropped with wheat (Triticum aestivum) and peanut (Arachris hypogaea) (WP), as treatments on soil fertility indices with that of the conventional citrus management (CM). Results showed that the soil organic carbon, total and available nitrogen, available potassium, and water-stable aggregate (> 0.25 mm) contents at the 0–5 cm depth were higher for the WC and SM treatments than the CM treatment. There was also spatial variation in soil fertility along slopes of the WC and SM treatments. The soil total and available nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, and water-stable aggregate (> 0.25 mm) contents at both the 0–5 and 5–20 cm depths were higher for the CH and IM treatments than the CM treatment. The average soil available nitrogen and available potassium contents were higher for the WP treatment than the CM treatment, but the WP treatment had little effect on the soil organic carbon, total nitrogen, and water-stable aggregate (> 0.25 mm) contents. These suggested that white clover intercropping and straw mulching were the most effective approaches to improve soil fertility in citrus orchard land of the Three Gorges area. 展开更多

Eutrophication in the Three Gorges Reservoir has become a serious issue, and phosphorus (P) is the nutrient thought to be primarily responsible although there are few studies about P loss from the mostly sloping farmlands of the area. This work investigated the amounts and forms of P loss from 9 farmlands with the slopes of 4°, 9°, and 17° in a small watershed, Wangjiagou in Fuling District, Chongqing of China. The slope of the relationship between runoff and rainfall increased with field slope; i.e., there was a significant interaction between the effects of rainfall and field slope on water export. For sediment export by surface runoff, there was no interaction between field slope and rainfall, and the intercept of the relationship between rainfall and sediment loss was significantly different for the 3 slopes. The main P loss was from sediments, regardless of slope. In the runoff water, particulate P was the largest P fraction, and its loss was greatest from the steepest land and least from the flattest. The release of total P and available P from sediments followed the same trend. The P loss during May to July in Wangjiagou was more than 60% of the annual total. 展开更多

To compare the CH4 oxidation potential among different land uses and seasons, and to observe its response to monsoon precipi- tation pattern and carbon and nitrogen parameters, a one-year study was conducted for different land uses (vegetable field, tilled and non-tilled orchard, upland crops and pine forest) in central subtropical China. Results showed significant differences in CH4 oxidation potential among different land uses (ranging from -3.08 to 0.36 kg CH4 ha-1 year-l). Upland with corn-peanut-sweet potato rotation showed the highest CH4 emission, while pine forest showed the highest CH4 oxidation potential among all land uses. Non-tilled citrus orchard (-0.72 ~ 0.08 kg CHa ha-1 year-1) absorbed two times more CH4 than tilled citrus orchard (-0.38 ~ 0.06 kg CH4 ha-1 year-l). Irrespective of different vegetation, inorganic N fertilizer application significantly influenced CH4 fluxes across the sites (R2 : 0.86, P -- 0.002). Water-filled pore space, soil microbial biomass carbon, and dissolved nitrogen showed significant effects across different land uses (31% to 38% of variability) in one linear regression model. However, their cumulative interaction was significant for pine forest only, which might be attributed to undisturbed microbial communities legitimately responding to other variables, leading to net CH4 oxidation in the soil. These results suggested that i) natural soil condition tended to create win-win situation for CH4 oxidation, and agricultural activities could disrupt the oxidation potentials of the soils; and ii) specific management practices including but not limiting to efficient fertilizer application and utilization, water use efficiency, and less soil disruption might be required to increase the CH4 uptake from the soil. 展开更多

Distribution and enrichment patterns of selenium in the Ediacaran and early Cambrian strata in the Yangtze Gorges area, South China

The distribution and enrichment patterns of selenium(Se) in the E-?1 strata in the Yangtze Gorges area of South China were obtained. The geochemical characteristics of the significantly and non-significantly enriched strata of Se were analyzed.The observed enrichment factor(EF, relative to the upper continental crust) and concentration coefficient(CC, relative to the similar lithology in Eastern China) both suggest that Se is the most enriched/concentrated(SeEF=26.97, SeCC=48.04) among the analyzed23 trace elements the E-?1 strata. The normalized enrichment factor(EF′, EF after Al or Th normalized) shows Se is secondly enriched(SeEF′=218.73), which is slightly lower than cadmium(CdEF′=288.46) but significantly higher than the third enriched trace element arsenic(AsEF′=97.49). Se concentrations in the E-?1 strata vary from <10.5 to 30.08 ppm with an arithmetic mean value of 1.35 ppm. Compared to the Nantuo Formation, Se increased 11.78 times in the whole E-?1 strata and the average EF values are displayed as Shuijingtuo(92.58)>Yanjiahe(54.45)>Doushantuo(24.72)>Dengying(2.48)>Shipai(1.95)>lower Tianheban(1.24)Formations. Se concentrations in the E-?1 strata are best displayed on natural logarithm normal quantile-quantile(Q-Q) plots and shown as a positive-skewed distribution pattern. The Se significantly enriched(EF>10) strata sequences mainly include the lower and upper Doushantuo member II(DST-II), top DST-III, DST-IV, the basal and upper Yanjiahe Formation, and lower and upper Shuijingtuo Formation. Geochemical characteristics indicate that Se concentrations in the significantly enriched strata were generally influenced by terrigenous detrital as well as the combined action of single or multiple factors, such as hydrotherm,volcanic debris and deep source. Moreover, pyrite and organic matter promoted the enrichment of Se in the upper DST-II, DST-IV,upper Shuijingtuo Formation and lower DST-II, upper Shuijingtuo Formation, respectively. The Se concentrations in the not significantly enriched strata(except for DST-I, middle Shuijingtuo Formation, Shipai Formation and lower Tianheban Formation)were also influenced by terrigenous detrital, but other enrichment activities(e.g., hydrothermal, volcanic debris, and deep source)were generally insignificant. 展开更多
