本研究在中国大陆大学生人群中修订了人际反应指针量表(Interpersonal Reactivity Index,IRI),施测对象为1640名东南大学本科生。结果显示,修订后的中国大陆版人际反应指针量表保留了原有的四因素结构:幻想、共情关心、观点采择、个人痛... 本研究在中国大陆大学生人群中修订了人际反应指针量表(Interpersonal Reactivity Index,IRI),施测对象为1640名东南大学本科生。结果显示,修订后的中国大陆版人际反应指针量表保留了原有的四因素结构:幻想、共情关心、观点采择、个人痛苦,具有良好的信效度。使用该量表分析中国大陆大学生人群的共情水平特点,结果发现,在个人痛苦分量表上女性得分显著高于男性;在共情关心和观点采择分量表上,非独生子女得分显著高于独生子女。本研究结果拓展了以往共情测量领域的研究发现。 展开更多

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to examine the psychometric properties of the Chinese-translated Behavioral Regulation in Exercise Questionnaire-2 (C-BREQ-2) among Chinese university students from the Mainland and Hong Kong of China. Methods: University students from the Mainland (n = 191) and Hong Kong (n=194) of China participated in this study. Factorial validity, discriminant validity, nomological validity, internal reliability, and measurement invariance across sample of the C-BREQ-2 were examined. Results: Confirmatory factor analysis provided support for the factorial validity of the 18-item, 5-factor structure C-BREQ-2. Examination of the 95% confidence interval of the inter-factor correlations suggested that the C-BREQ-2 assesses related but distinct constructs, which provided support for its discriminant validity. The internal consistency reliability of the C-BREQ-2 was found acceptable. Examination of the pattern of inter-factor correlations between different regulations suggested that a simplex-like pattern was displayed, which provided evidence for the nomological validity of C-BREQ-2. The results from multi-group confirmatory factor analysis suggested that the factor loadings and variances/ covariances of the C-BREQ-2 measurement model were invariant across the Chinese university students in the Mainland and Hong Kong of China. Conclusion: The current study provided further psychometric evidence for the C-BREQ-2, which makes the further application and research of self-determination theory (SDT) based motivation in relation to exercise and physical activity in the Mainland of China context possible. 展开更多

The purpose of the present research was to investigate the predictors to Chinese college students seeking psychological help from professionals. By surveying 1,408 Chinese college students at five universities in China's Mainland, the results showed that among the factors examined, problem severity and help-seeking attitudes directly predicted help-seeking intention, while gender and subjective norms had a significant effect on college students' professional psychological help-seeking intention through help-seeking attitudes. Overall, the model explained 25% and 38.0% (for half-1 and half-2 data sets, respectively) of the variances of help-seeking intention. The results indicated that mainland Chinese college students rationally knew that they should choose to seek such professional help when the problem got severer enough, although they were emotionally reluctant to seek professional psychological help due to negative subjective norms around them. The research performance of top universities in China is revealed in this study and analyzed using the essential science indicators(ESI) database.Different types of bibliometric indicators are applied in this study,including publication output and impact indicators.This study finds that the academic performance of universities in China is advancing rapidly,with many universities coming out near the top of the rankings,especially in terms of quantity of papers.The quantitative performance of universities in China is remarkable.The research results show that there is a considerable gap between quality and quantity of research output at the top universities of China,with research influence concentrated on some specific fields for selected universities.Engineering,Chemistry and Material Science are the fields with relatively outstanding performance in the top universities. 展开更多

LEI (Longman English Interactive) is one of them Recently, many teachers in China's Mainland learn to adopt TBLT (task-based language teaching) in these interactive courses including LEI. However, some of them feel confused about how to apply TBLT more effectively in their classes since they may not understand clearly why TBLT is such a "matching" teaching method for this type of classes. To illustrate this issue, this paper sets LEI as an example. It firstly analyzes the syllabus design of LEI based on the theories of communicative teaching approach, then discusses about why the renowned TBLT is a suitable method to organize the class, and finally exemplifies how TBLT can be fully applied to the course in real classrooms. The objective of this paper is to inspire English teachers to have a better application of TBLT in interactive classes alike. 展开更多

This research compares a sample of the mainland Chinese university students (N = 325) and a sample of the British university students (N = 51) from a cross-cultural perspective by examining the relationships between individual values and communicative competence. Specifically, it aims to gain an insight into cultural impact both on the Chinese university students' self-perceptions of communication competence in the Chinese cultural context and on the British university students' self-perceptions of communication competence in a Western cultural context. The findings suggest that the mainland Chinese university students' interdependent/independent self-construals best predict their self-perceptions of communication competence. Results indicate that both Western and Chinese social values influence the two samples' interdependent and independent self-construals, and the two samples' self-perceptions of communication competence and interdependent self-construals differ significantly 展开更多
