In the past 30 years, its research methods have been the focus of debate in regard to its academic direction, academic position, and academic path. These three "academic problems" should be paid attention because they not only sustain our current research and construction of Music Iconography's future and destiny, but also become major theoretical and practical issues. The author advocates that the academic direction should maintain highly consistent with the reality of China, as well as the academic practice. In order to guarantee the academic direction and academic position, we should adopt the academic path from these two aspects: "the horizontal logic" and "the longitudinal logic"展开更多

Chinese students have improved their English reading and writing these years, but they are relatively poor in listening and speaking. The author, based on the empirical study, made an investigation on Senior Three students in Leshan city. The statistics from the questionnaire indicate the problem of "Mute-crux" in English teaching and learning. This paper explores the reasons that cause the problem: teachers' use of the traditional ways, just emphasizing the transmission of English knowledge, but ignoring the meaningful communication with students; exercise-based and exam-oriented teaching, which cause students' rote-learning. The author proposes that Chinese English teachers ought to change the traditional notions and adopt effective ways to encourage students to speak bravely in order to improve their speaking abilities展开更多

The theory of southern and northern schools proposed by him was a conclusion to traditional Chinese landscape painting art, and played an incomparable function in the traditional Chinese painting history in comparison with other painting theories. In the painting history, there were the theory of "pre-Dong" and the theory of "post-Dong" . In this paper, by starting from Qichang Dong' s "theory of southern and northern schoots" , the homogeneities between traditional Chinese music and painting arts are analyzed from the principle of spirit and the principle of technology, so that the homogeneities between traditional Chinese music and painting arts are explored in aesthetic concept and actual art creation.展开更多

In this paper, with voice teaching as an example, we will talk about foreign language studies in ethnic minority Chinese Teaching. I think, in the teaching program design, the teaching Chinese minorities can learn from the simplified idea of teaching phonological Mr. Zhao Jin ruing, which is proposed foreign teaching Chinese, to simplify Voice teaching. In teaching principles, we should emphasize specific principles, instructional design based on students' different characteristics. In the teaching content, teaching should not only pay attention phonetic syllables within the system, but also more emphasis on syllables voice level teaching, especially teaching speech flow. In teaching methods, we should learn teaching, research tone, softly and so on.展开更多

The traditional grand narrative in the field of contemporary education research in China has been challenged by individual recounts and by concemsregarding the situation in the classroom, which is reflected in the children-voice studies conducted by young researchers. The paper begins with background regarding society, culture, and schooling, continues on to describe related studies in this field, and ends with a rethinking of current research. The conclusion is that the studies were hampered both by an inherited culture of inertia and cynicism towards students' voices and by a dysfunction in research methodology.展开更多

According to China's national conditions and the characteristics of the cultures, improve the research methodology of the national musicology, so that the national musicology can have the Chinese characteristics. The national musicology is an independent basic discipline in the university education. In China, the music education and research work in colleges and universities has an important role in the inheritance and development of the national music. In this paper, combined with the present situations of the music education in colleges and universities, from the perspectives of the education and the research, the author expounds the ideas of the development trends of the national musicology in the music education in colleges and universities.展开更多

Jazz pianists in Europe were a distinctive part of the world jazz scene and made significant achievements during the communist era. They were able to master the European classical piano school, becoming virtuoso pianists themselves, as well as acquiring self-taught jazz skills. Semi-isolated from the contemporary music trends abroad, Central European artists nonetheless made remarkable musical accomplishments that deserve to be called the Central European Jazz School. Between 1948 and 1989, the communist ideology controlled every country of Central Europe including East Germany. The careers of jazz pianists in these countries would have developed differently if they had lived under democratic conditions. This is evident in the lives of those who emigrated to Western countries and subsequently found a place in the world jazz scene. Using analysis of the Central European jazz musicians' compositions and their professional careers, this paper aims to demonstrate the extent to which the Central European Jazz School has contributed to jazz music in Europe and the wider world.展开更多

The participants were 45 university sophomores, whose recorded data were transcribed and evaluated correspondingly by 45 educated listeners from 22 different countries. The results reveal that although the speakers' English may have strong accents, it is intelligible to international listeners to a great extent. Phonological problems that hamper intelligibility are vowel length and quality, simplification of diphthongs, voiced and voiceless plosives, dental fricative, word ending nasals, consonant clusters as well as stress, rhythm and intonation.展开更多

Experiment was carried out using a low-speed wind tunnel that has a test section of 3.5 m(W)×2.45 m(H)×8.7 m(L). The angle of attack of the delta wing ranges from 10° to 30°. The free stream velocity is fixed at 20 m/s, which corresponds to Reynolds number of 0.88×106. Computations using the mass-averaged implicit 3D Navier-Stokes equations were applied to predict the complicated vortical flow over the delta wing. The governing equations were discretized in space using a fully implicit finite volume differencing formation. The standard k-e turbulent model was employed to close the governing equations. The present computations predicted the experimented flow field with a good accuracy.展开更多
