She has successfully created a series of moving women images. Most of Cather＇s female images are strong-minded and independent, attempting to take the fate into their own hands. In a sense, she can be regarded as a precursor of modern feminism. 0 Pioneers is the first mature book of Willa Cather, with the heroic protagonist, Alexandra, the representative of such women characters. With the application of the feminist literary approach, the thesis makes a detailed analysis of the heroine Alexandra in an attempt to illustrate and prove Cather＇s feminist thinking tendency. The present paper aims to analyze the feminist thoughts of Alexandra from the perspectives of her Revolt against ＂Woman Myth＂, her struggle against patriarchal society, and her longing for a real equality between men and women.展开更多

This paper analyzes whether the slowdown of China＇s trade in 2012-2015 was cyclical or structural, and further discusses the effects of structural factors, including trade structure, trade protectionism and global va...This paper analyzes whether the slowdown of China＇s trade in 2012-2015 was cyclical or structural, and further discusses the effects of structural factors, including trade structure, trade protectionism and global value chain participation, Using the national panel data from 2000 to 2015, based on the error correction model and import-intensity- adjusted demand model, our results show that the slowdown of China＇s trade growth in 2012-2015 was mainly a result of cyclical factors. Using 2000-2015 industry- level data, we also find that the structure of trade goods had an inhibitory effect on the import slowdown but a positive effect on the export slowdown. Trade protectionism had an adverse effect on the trade growth slowdown. The global value chain participation marginally contributed to the slowdown in trade growth. Therefore, the impacts of structural factors on trade growth slowdown cannot be ignored, and related policies should receive greater attention from policy-makers.展开更多

This is profoundly evident in the following： the Marxist philosophy of the state is the theoretical premise of contemporary China＇s consultative governance; traditional Chinese thought on governance and practice are the soil in which contemporary Chinese consultative govemance grows; socialism with Chinese characteristics is the realm in which contemporary Chinese consultative governance exists; the masses under the leadership of the CPC are the necessary subjects of contemporary Chinese consultative governance; and the target of contemporary Chinese consultative governance is a multi-layered and diverse existence. Realization of national governance through consultative democracy is the basic form of contemporary Chinese consultative governance; the balanced development ofpublic, collective and individual interests is the basic objective of contemporary Chinese consultative governance; the basic principles of contemporary Chinese consultative governance are equality, inclusiveness and peace; and the criteria for assessing contemporary Chinese consultative governance are authority, consensus, institutions and the rule of law.
