元明清三朝,高平社学屡修屡废,清中期后又出现了义学化趋势。高平社学兴修的背景是,朝廷的诏令及地方官对诏令的回应,社学的义学化则是朝廷、地方政府改变社学发展颓势的不得已选择。高平社学的发展背景、过程和结果,都具有普遍指示性,从中可以管窥元明清三朝全国社学兴衰历史及其原因。

Location and Its Semantics in Location-Based Services

Starting with a simple presentation of location determination techniques, physical location and geographic location as two common kinds of location description methods are discussed. The semantic location concept is then introduced and a correction is given, which especially emphasizes that location property is an important part of semantic location. By analyzing the connotation and extension of every geographic location, what should be contained in a location property is determined. Using a hierarchical model, the relations and associations among locations are clearly described. To realize a formalized description of semantic location, an ontology technique that can adequately describe semantic information of location is used. Organized by ontology web language, a location ontology model allows semantic location to be read and processed by computer. The location ontology model realizes the knowledge description of location information and establishes an important foundation to personalized preference services in location based services.

Trojan Terrorism:Revenge Colonists or Condition of Evolution？ （To the Problem ＂Your/Alien＂）

Thinking about the problem of terrorism, the author finds its origins in the myth of the Trojan War, treating it as a battle for space, which was the primary basis for the civilizational leap--the expansion of the Greek world to the east, which led to the flourishing of Greek culture, creating a precedent of justified colonialism, provided strategy and tactics-the causal apology of violence-all subsequent wars, colonial campaigns, which was no exception for the migratory flows of the XX century, as a result of which the word ＂terrorism＂ sounded with by force of the song of B. Brecht. The theme of ＂space＂-chucked away, lost, taken away, destroyed, compressed, anarchic, empty, boundless, virtual-remains vital in our time, when the limitless possibilities lead to the limitation of man himself, his emptiness, and ＂complete shortuess＂ （Platonov）, when the treaty as the basis of human existence is rejected, and when you become the Other yourself. The metaphysics of ＂violence＂ is buried in anthropology-in ignorance of one＇s limits by man, in denying the boundaries of ＂another＇s,＂ in unwillingness to ask a question mad find the answer, in laziness and, in fact, in the loss of oneself.

A NEW FUNCTIONAL CLASSIFICATION OF STOMACH CANCER AND ITS PATHOBIOLOGICAL AND CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE

The functional differentiations of stomach cancer specimens from 121 patients were investigated by enzyme-,mucin-,affinity-and immunohistochemical methods, and the stomach cancers were divided into five functionally differentiated types : 1 ) Absorptive Function Differentiation Type (AFDT), 19. 8% ; 2) Mucin Secreting Function Differentiation Type(MSFDT) , 24. 0% ; 3) Absorptive and Mucin-Producing Function Differentiation Type(AMPFDT) , 47. 1%; 4 ) Special Function Differentiation Type(SFDT) , 0. 8 %; and 5) Non-Function Differentiation Type(NFDT) , 8. 3%. The results indicate that stomach cancer tissues of the same histological type often display differing functional differentiation, and these functionally differentiated types have different invasive and metastatic characteristics. In addition, the functionally differentiated types have particular organic affinities of metastasis and different clinical prognoses. This study suggests that this new functional classification may supplement histological classification. The mechanisms of liver and ovary metastases of stomach cancer are also dis-cussed.

Clinical Significance of CENP-H Expression in Uterine Cervical Cancer

Objective This work aims to investigate the expression pattern and clinicopathologic significance of centromere protein H(CENP-H) in uterine cervical cancer(UCC). Methods The level of CENP-H expression in the paraffin sections of 62 UCC cases was determined by the SP immunohistochemical method,with complete clinicopathologic data in all cases.Statistical analysis was conducted to evaluate the prognostic and diagnostic significance of CENP-H using SPSS13.0 software package. Results Immunohistochemical assay showed strong CENP-H expression in 61.29% (38/62) of the paraffin-embedded cervical cancer tissues.Statistical analysis revealed a strong correlation between the CENP-H expression and the clinical classification(P=0.038) of the cervical carcinoma.The expression increased with rise of the stages.The analysis of Cox proportional hazards regression model suggested that CENP-H expression(P=0.002) and tumor stage(P=0.001) were independent prognostic markers for the survival of UCC patients.The survival analysis showed that the survival rate was significantly lower in patients with high expression of CENP-H than in those with low expression of CENP-H(P=0.001). Conclusions CENP-H is likely to be a valuable marker for carcinogenesis and progression of UCC.It might be used as the important diagnostic and prognostic marker for cervical carcinoma patients,especially for those at early stage.

The Centurial Achievements and Problems in Ancient Chinese Literary Theory and Its Re-sinicization

The centurial study in ancient Chinese literary theory has gained certain achievements, which is embodied in the reorganization of materials, the construction of subject, and the establishment of system. However, some problems, including literary aphasia, objectified objectivism and de-contextualization, have revealed during our rethinking of Westernization, scientism and systematism, showing that we have been trapped by Western-centralism, scientism and post-colonialism. Faced with the demand from modem knowledge pattern of de-sinicization, de-contextualization and de-subjectification, we propose reconstruction strategies of re-sinicization and re-pragmatism in order to provide theoretical conception of rebuilding modem system for ancient literary theory study.

Songjianghe biotite monzonitic granite zircon U-Pb geochronology and geochemical significance

The authors studied geochronology and geochemical data of the Songjianghe biotite monzogranite in the southern Zhangguangcai Range in order to determine its formation age,magma source,and tectonic environment. The results indicate that the Songjianghe biotite monzogranite was formed in the Middle Jurassic with an age of 168. 2 ± 2. 0 Ma( MSWD = 0. 93). The monzogranite was characterized by high alkali and low Ca O and Mg O,belonging to high-potassium calc-alkaline,metaluminous I-type granite. The rock is enriched in large ion lithophile elements such as Rb,Ba,and K and strongly depleted high field strength elements such as P,Ti,Nb,and Ta. It is concluded that the Songjianghe biotite monzogranite was derived from partial melting of amphibolite facies metamorphism mafic lower-crust and its formation was controlled by the Pacific Plate subduction.

Clinicopathological significance of B-cell-specific Moloney murine leukemia virus insertion site 1 expression in gastric carcinoma and its precancerous lesion

AIM： To explore the relation between B-cell-specific Moloney murine leukemia virus insertion site 1 （Bmi-1） expression and the clinicopathological features of gastric carcinoma （GC）.METHODS： Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of Bmi-1 and ki-67. Doublelabeling staining was used to display the distribution of Bcl-2^＋/ki-67 cells in 162 cases of GC and its matched normal mucosa and precancerous lesion.RESULTS： The positive rate of Bmi-1 expression in GC（52.5%） was significantly higher than that in normal gastric mucosa （21.6%, X^2 = 33.088, P 〈 0.05）. The Bmi-1 expression in GC was closely related with the Lauren＇s and Borrmann＇s classification and clinicalstage （X^2 = 4.400, 6.122 and 11.190, respectively, P〈 0.05）. The expression of ki-67 was related to the Borrmann＇s classification （X^2 = 13.380, P 〈 0.05）.Bcl-2 expression was correlated with the Lauren＇s classification （Z2 = 4.725, P 〈 0.05）, and the Bmi-1 expression both in GC （rk = 0.157, P 〈 0.05） and inintestinal metaplasia （rk = 0.270, P 〈 0.05）.CONCLUSION： Abnormal Bmi-1 expression in GCmay be involved in cell proliferation, apoptosis andcancerization. This marker can objectively indicate theclinicopathological characteristics of GC.

Expression of EphB4 and HIF-1α in lung cancer and its clinical significance

Objective： To investigate the relationship between the expression of EphB4 and HIF-la in lung cancer and their biological significance. Methods： The expression of EphB4 and HIF-1α was detected in 54 specimens of lung cancer by using streptavidin-peroxidase （SP）immunohistochemical method, and 10 normal lung tissues as control. Results： Among the 54 cases of lung cancer, the positive rate of EphB4 was 50.0%; 42.6% of the tumors were positive for HIF-1α. The expression of these two kinds of proteins was related to gross types, differentiation and clinical stages （P〈0.05）, but not to histological classification, age, sex and lymphoid metastasis （P〉0.05）. A highly positive correlation was observed between the expression of EphB4 and HIF-1α （P〈0.01）. Conclusion： Overexpression of EphB4 and HIF-1α may play an important role in the pathogenesis, progression and malignant degree of lung cancer. Detection of EphB4 and HIF-1α expression might be helpful to predict prognosis of patients with lung cancer.

Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistants acting as cultural ambassadors on the campus

Many language instructors in colleges and universities around the world have teaching assistants to help them with the teaching. Since 1968, the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant （FLTA） program has aimed to strengthen foreign language instruction at U.S. educational institutions by establishing a native speaker presence. As one of the first group of Fulbright Chinese Language Assistants, the author worked at the College of Wooster in the United States from August, 2005 to May, 2006. At the beginning of the paper, the author gave a brief introduction of Fulbright FLTA program. Then the author described five cultural activities that Fulbright FLTAs could employ in foreign language learners＇ learning process： giving presentations, teaching songs, watching movies, organizing free tea or coffee breaks, and holding free talks. The following section discussed two phenomena that FLTAs should avoid, that is, ethnocentrism and cultural stereotyping. The author pointed out in the conclusion that Fulbright language assistants should make efforts to be qualified cultural ambassadors.

Linguistic Justice and Dual Language Programs

This paper makes the case that education aimed at Hispanic or Latino children in the United States needs to recognize both their linguistic and cultural roots （raices） as well as the educational wings （alas）. The reason the author believes dual language programs could benefit all is due to the fact that if done properly, it should promote bilingualism, respect, and equity for all students in the school. Dual language programs are relatively new in the United States. These programs aim to create bilingual, bicultural students without sacrificing these students＇ success in school or beyond. The goals of dual language are to provide high-quality instruction for language-minority students and to provide instruction in a second language for English-speaking students. Schools teach children through content, with teachers adapting their instruction to ensure children＇s comprehension and using content lessons to convey vocabulary and language structure. Striving for a balance of half language minority students and half English speaking students in each classroom, dual language programs also aim to teach cross-cultural awareness. Programs vary in terms of the amount of time they devote to each language, which grade levels they serve, how much structure they impose for the division of language and curriculum, and what populations they serve.

Expressions and the clinical significances of p53, p57(Kip2) and CD68 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma

Objective： The aim of our study was to investigate the expression of p53, p57（Kip2） and CD68 in esophageal squamous coil carcinoma （ESCC） and their correlation with the biological behavior of ESCC. Methods： The protein expres- sions of p53, p57（Kip2） and CD68 were detected in 51 cases of ESCC with S-P immunohistochemical method. Results： The total positive rate of those proteins was p53 64.71%, CD68 58.82% and p57（Kip2） 45.09% respectively in ESCC. The positive expression rate of p57（Kip2） was significantly lower in the positive p53 of ESCC than in the negative p53 （P 〈 0.05）. The positive expression rate of p57（Kip2） was significantly lower in the positive CD68 of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma than in the negative （P 〈 0.05）. The positive expression of p53 and CD68 were related to differentiate and TNM of ESCC, but p57（Kip2） was not related to TNM （P 〉 0.05）. Conclusion： There are significant negative correlations between p57（Kip2） and p53, CD68 protein expression and related to biological behavior. Multy predictors are better guide to patients than single predictor.

Deontology and the Decalogue of Opinion

With Perelman＇s Neo Rhetoric the ＂Rhetorical Empire＂ is built and with the contribution of Koorebyter＇s group this empire gets to its limits by including Opinion also in Natural Sciences. Concomitantly, within communication, the number and variety of opinions tend toward infinity. In this cultural context, a Deontology of Opinion is both possible and necessary. The first part establishes the theoretical frame of the issue on four axes： （1） the historical fate of Opinion; （2） the fundamental and specific Functors; （3） the relation between Certitude, Conviction, and Credence; （4） correctness, the second part presents 10 Deontological Rules of Opinion （out of the 18 possible）; and （5） it is a Code based on 10 Rules thus, a Decalogue. The Code presents each Rule, both in its positive （must） and negative （~must） form. Rules are first enunciated and then explained and illustrated. Being also a theory of Opinion, the paper can be considered a Meta-opinion. It can have four finalities： （1） one, purely theoretical, to be included among similar papers in the field; （2） a methodological one as it offers reference points for the elaboration of particular Deontological Codes; （3） a scientific one offering the background for sociologic researches of Opinion; and （4） an educational one aiming at forming correct （optimum） Opinions in various fields.

Expression of ABCG2 in human gastric carcinoma

Objective:The aim of this study was to investigate the expression of ABCG2 in human gastric carcinoma and its clinical significance.Methods:Expression of ABCG2 was examined with immunohistochemical technique in the specimens from 45 gastric carcinoma tissues and 30 surrounding normal tissues.The mRNA expression of ABCG2 was measured by RT-PCR and real-time quantitative PCR in 30 cases of gastric carcinoma and normal gastric mucosa, respectively.Results:ABCG2 expression was observed in 28 of 45(62.2%) cases by immunohistochemical analysis.In ABCG2-positive tumors, adjacent non-neoplastic tissue was similarly analyzed, revealed that ABCG2 was up-regulated in gastric carcinoma.ABCG2 expression in poorly differentiated/undifferentiated carcinoma was significantly higher than that in well/moderately-differentiated carcinoma(P < 0.05).The mRNA expression of ABCG2 was significantly higher than that in normal gastric mucosa(P < 0.05).Conclusion:ABCG2 plays an important role in the multi-drug resistance of gastric carcinoma.ABCG2 might be an important factor in the research of gastric cancer stem cell.

No Dream, No Future： A Study on Aesthetic Dimensions of＂Chinese Dream＂ and the Task of Literary Critics

This article believes that ＂Chinese Dream＂ has three dimensions： First, ＂Chinese Dream＂ is the inevitable demands of Chinese reconstruction and it is the deepest desire of Chinese nation since the Chinese modern history. Second, the modernism of socialism with Chinese feature is the process of Chinese modernism. Third, the third theoretical dimension, 1 believe, is the ideal of socialism. I would like to take the film ＂Lost＂ and ＂Peking Monk＂ as examples and analyze the specific form of expression. This article is going to indicate in the end that ＂the revolution of aesthetics＂ and the assignments of critics, which can be recognized as the intuitive ability, could merge the historical affair and the human nature, which literature comprise, together and deliver deeper analyses and appraise The mission of critics is not only to distinctly emerge the aesthetic form of the literal works, but also analyze and seize the ＂aesthetic form＂ of them, that is to say, their mission is to find the aesthetic meanings of aesthetic expression from commonage in order to achieve the goal of leading and stimulating people ensuing the consciousness and liberation of culture. That is the most important mission and responsibility of Marxist literal criticism and literal critics. This is a rather tough task and refers to the new understanding and attitude to the relative questions of literature and culture. In the eyes of some self-complacent intellectuals, the responsibility for literature and critics is the ＂aesthetic entertainment＂ and ＂spiritual redemption＂. The significance of Marxist Aesthetics lies in that it upgrades the general ＂literal principle＂ and ＂aesthetic principle＂ in to a level of social development and national deliverance, and also it regards whether the literature having the function of cultural libration as the more pivotal content. The assignment for the critics and litterateurs is to engage and promote the production and promulgate for this significance, the cultural consciousness and liberation.

Humanistic Principles in the Circle of European Literature Themes

There is the question--can we hope that humanism and erudition can redevelop nowadays？ In the long history of humanistic inheritance, from ancient times till the end of the 18th century, there was obvious decadence of essential humanistic points. As the historial period, humanism means revival of classical culture, and as a specific culturological phenomenon, it means erudite education created by Hellens and developed by Romans, who recovered ＂humanitas＂ as global education. Italy was the first who helped humanists to contemplate on classical culture; and in post-medieval age, Italian humanists achieved a supreme measure of humanism through their ＂humanistic studies.＂ We will try to point out good achievements of humanism erudite education in European culture in later epochs. Humanism leads man to turn over to world--after medieval stricture--and it becomes self-conscious revolution, what we can see in Latin literature till the 18th century. Rise of individualism, development of libraries and humanistic academies give chance to latin tradition in European literature as universal discipline, including erudite education in international corpus （Ragusa also）. High-intellectual and latinized elites with humanistic state of mind develop complex spiritual inteligency with science requests in later epochs too. We will try to explain in which degree humanism, with its synthetic point of view, influences on later corpus of European literary themes and how great its actuallity is nowdays.

The Morphological Analysis of Folktales of Tu Nationality in Hehuang Region in Northwest China

The Tu nationality （also called ＂Tu people＂ or ＂Tus＂ in the paper）, one of the multiple ethnic minorities in the Hehuang Region （河湟地区） between Gansu （甘肃） and Qinghai （青海） Provinces in the northwest China, has no written language of their own, but has already created the abundant and varied colorful literary genres. Since the 1980s, folktales, as the main literary product popular in the region, have received literary criticisms and reviews from scholars and researchers in China, based on the socialist realism dominant in China in the 20th century that emphasized more on contents, motifs and even ideological significance. So far, no breakthroughs have been made in their studies even if some young scholars have tried from the formalist viewpoints. Therefore, this paper attempts to make a morphological analysis of the Tus＇ folktales by adopting Propp＇s theories, trying to find out the morphological narrative model beneath the language level of the folktales. Through the studies, we can see that collective awareness bonded by kinship is more emphasized in Tus＇ culture, and almost all tales end with good defeating evil. Therefore, the studies of these folktales will help us deep understand Tus＇ psychological conditions and positive cultural life.

Comparative study of low NO_(x) combustion optimization of a coal-fired utility boiler based on OBLPSO and GOBLPSO

To reduce NO_(x) emissions of coal-fired power plant boilers,this study introduced particle swarm optimization employing opposition-based learning(OBLPSO)and particle swarm optimization employing generalized opposition-based learning(GOBLPSO)to a low NO_(x) combustion optimization area.Thermal adjustment tests under different ground conditions,variable oxygen conditions,variable operation modes of coal pulverizer conditions,and variable first air pressure conditions were carried out on a 660 MW boiler to obtain samples of combustion optimization.The adaptability of PSO,differential evolution algorithm(DE),OBLPSO,and GOBLPSO was compared and analyzed.Results of 51 times independently optimized experiments show that PSO is better than DE,while the performance of the GOBLPSO algorithm is generally better than that of the PSO and OBLPSO.The median-optimized NO_(x) emission by GOBLPSO is up to 15.8 mg/m^(3) lower than that obtained by PSO.The generalized opposition-based learning can effectively utilize the information of the current search space and enhance the adaptability of PSO to the low NO_(x) combustion optimization of the studied boiler.

Distribution characteristic and geological signiflcance of rare earth elements in Lopingian mudstone of Permian,Panxian county,Guizhou province

In order to discuss the geochemical characteristic of REEs （rare earth elements） and their geological application, we measured the contents of rare earth elements, trace elements and minerals of 29 Lopingian （Late Permian） mudstone samples in Panxian county, carrying out ICP-MS and XRD analysis. The results show that the amount of REEs （185.56-729.46 ×10-6） is high. The ratios of w（LREE）/w（HREE） （6.84- 13.86） and W（La）N/w（Yb）N （1.01-3.02） show clear differentiation of LREEs and HREEs. ZREE has a significantly or critically positive correlation with lithophile elements Th, Nb, Ta, Ti, Ca, Sc, Cs, Zr, Hf, Sr, Be and chaicophile element Zn, a critically negative correlation with siderophile element Fe and a slightly positive correlation with illite, illite smectite mixed layers and siderite. REEs originate mainly from terrigenous minerals, in an inorganic phase, Source rocks of our samples consist of Emeishan basalt and a small part of sedimentary rocks, as suggested by the distribution patterns of REEs and w（∑REE）- w（La）/w（Yb） diagram. Moreover, abnormal surfaces near the sequence boundaries （SB2, SB3, SB4） are related wiLth the boundaries, identified by geochemical characteristics of the REEs, such as ∑REE. w（LREE）/w（HREE）, Eu/Eu＊ and Ceanom.

Expression of MEK1 in the colorectal cancer and its clinical implication

Objective:The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between expression of MEK1 protein in the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway and liver as well as lymph node metastasis in colorectal cancer patients.Methods:Immunohistochemistry was performed to detect the expression of MEK1 protein in primary cancer,normal colonic mucosa,lymph nodes and liver metastatic foci from 86 colorectal cancer patients.Life table analysis was employed to evaluate the association between MEK1 expression and patients' survival.Results:The positive rate of MEK1 expression in the primary cancer,normal colonic mucosa,metastatic lymph nodes and liver metastatic foci was 52.3%,32.6%,71.4% and 78.3%,respectively.The positive rate of MEK1 expression in the primary cancer,metastatic lymph nodes and liver metastatic foci was significantly higher than that in the normal colonic mucosa (P < 0.01).Furthermore,the positive rate of MEK1 expression in stage III and IV colorectal cancer patients was dramatically higher than that in stage I and II colorectal cancer patients (P < 0.01).The positive rate of MEK1 expression in patients with poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma and mucinous adenocarcinoma was significantly higher than patients with well or moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma (P < 0.01).The 3-year disease-free survival rate was 41.3% in MEK1 positive patients and 73.1% in MEK1 negative patients.The survival rate of MEK1 positive patients was significantly lower than that of MEK1 negative patients (P < 0.05).Conclusion:The increased expression of MEK1 was associated with lymph node metastasis and liver metastasis of colorectal cancer.Therefore,detection of MEK1 expression may have important significance in the evaluation of patients' prognosis.
