英汉习语型比喻中喻体的比较与翻译

A local and global context representation learning model for Chinese characters is designed and a Chinese word segmentation method based on character representations is proposed in this paper. First, the proposed Chinese character learning model uses the semanties of loeal context and global context to learn the representation of Chinese characters. Then, Chinese word segmentation model is built by a neural network, while the segmentation model is trained with the eharaeter representations as its input features. Finally, experimental results show that Chinese charaeter representations can effectively learn the semantic information. Characters with similar semantics cluster together in the visualize space. Moreover, the proposed Chinese word segmentation model also achieves a pretty good improvement on precision, recall and f-measure. 展开更多

By means of interviews with some demotivated students in English learning and questionnaires among 16 teachers of English and 170 non-English majors, this study identifies six latent variables and 18 observable variables that result in demotivation in English teaming. Then a causal model of demotivation in English teaming is constructed. Relationships within the model are examined through analysis of Moment Structures analysis. It is found that learning environment, valence, learning purposes, interest in English, and anxiety had direct effects on demotivation in English learning. Besides, the interactions among the variables also affect demotivation in English learning. 展开更多

In the field of L2 (second language) reading, scholars generally agree that ER (extensive reading) improves L2 learners' reading speed and comprehension and enriches their L2 vocabulary (Grabe & Stoller, 1997). This teacher-inquiry type of paper presents a practical suggestion for supplementing ER activity with the element of CL (cooperative learning). ER, theoretically speaking, focuses on the solitary task of silent reading. The CL technique used in this study was a book-talk activity. Forty-five freshmen from a course of children and young adult literatures were required to read at least 20 English books throughout a semester. CL was added to facilitate students' ER in young adult literature. After a semester, short-answer questions were asked regarding students' comments on ER as well as CL. Students overall agreed that when ER is supplemented with CL, reading in an L2 seems to be less intimidating. 展开更多

Inferring the fully qualified names(FQNs)of undeclared receiving objects and non-fully-qualified type names(non-FQNs)in partial code is critical for effectively searching,understanding,and reusing partial code.Existing type inference tools,such as COSTER and SNR,rely on a symbolic knowledge base and adopt a dictionary-lookup strategy to map simple names of undeclared receiving objects and non-FQNs to FQNs.However,building a symbolic knowledge base requires parsing compilable code files,which limits the collection of APIs and code contexts,resulting in out-of-vocabulary(OOV)failures.To overcome the limitations of a symbolic knowledge base for FQN inference,we implemented Ask Me Any Type(AMAT),a type of inference plugin embedded in web browsers and integrated development environment(IDE).Unlike the dictionary-lookup strategy,AMAT uses a cloze-style fill-in-the-blank strategy for type inference.By treating code as text,AMAT leverages a fine-tuned large language model(LLM)as a neural knowledge base,thereby preventing the need for code compilation.Experimental results show that AMAT outperforms state-of-the-art tools such as COSTER and SNR.In practice,developers can directly reuse partial code by inferring the FQNs of unresolved type names in real time. 展开更多

传统语法对保留宾语被动句的研究集中在分类和描写方面(吕叔湘1965),但仅仅关注语料而缺乏理论分析不能全面揭示语言现象的内在生成机制。依据语言学理论分析(Wray2002;Croft&Cruse 2006;Chomsky 2008),文章认为,汉语保留宾语被动... 传统语法对保留宾语被动句的研究集中在分类和描写方面(吕叔湘1965),但仅仅关注语料而缺乏理论分析不能全面揭示语言现象的内在生成机制。依据语言学理论分析(Wray2002;Croft&Cruse 2006;Chomsky 2008),文章认为,汉语保留宾语被动句的生成是两种操作程序相辅相成使然:1)存储于心理词库中的预制语块;2)依据推导程序生成规范句型。据此把汉语保留宾语被动句区分为习语型和规范型两类既符合不同语言学理论的断言,也与传统语法研究的描述一致,而且也具备一定的语言经验基础。本人认为,汉语句法研究应该兼容并蓄,基于使用频率的用法理论和基于推导程序的生成语法都有助于揭示语言机制的协调运作是如何实现的。 展开更多
