In this paper, we take the local animation “Yao-Chinese Folktales”, in which “Fool and God” as the object of study, to analyze its multimodal discourse. The animation comprehensively demonstrates the changes and development dilemmas of the countryside in the context of urbanization. In order to explore its construction of traditional rural cultural landscapes, this paper excavates and classifies the rural cultural landscapes contained in “Fool and God” according to the classification of rural cultural landscapes proposed by Ouyang Yongfeng and Huang Hanli. At the same time, the software “Recording Expert Recorder” is used to analyze the typical music in the animation and generate the sound waveform diagram. Using Kress and Van Leeuwen’s visual grammar as the theoretical framework, the visual modality analysis is carried out. In addition, the textual modality and auditory modality are analyzed. The aim is to promote the development of “urban-rural integration”, the steady development of the rural economy and the revitalization of the countryside on the basis of the core of the inheritance and development of the excellent traditional Chinese culture.展开更多
