In any mine, a key objective is to have sufficient equipment for production and not to have excess to where it becomes counterproductive. Due to the advent of responsible mining, environmental regulations, and eco-friendly practices, these factors must also be considered in the analysis. Simulation studies can be financially advantageous for both the optimization of existing mine operations and new development phases in a mine. This study is a new approach to use discrete-event system simulation for mine systems, in order to investigate and possibly reduce environmental impact considering mining haulage performance and production target. A hypothetical layout of a surface coal mine with two pit operations was used for the simulation and animation model. The simulation model includes the animation of the operation. Animation is helpful to enhance the benefit of a mine simulation model. GPSS/Hòand Proof Professionalòwere the software used for the investigation.展开更多

The total, beam and diffuse radiation incident onto a surface was simulated using WINSUN software, which is a simulation tool developed at Lund Technical University, Sweden. The irradiation analysis are made for Maputo, latitude 25°58' South, longitude 32°36' East, Mozambique. The climate date was derived from Meteonorm files. Such study has practical value since the output of solar systems is depending upon the amount of solar radiation reaching to the surface of the collector.展开更多

The precision of most traditional microseismic monitoring processes of mines, using TDOA location method in two-dimensional space to position the microseismic events, as well as the accuracy of positioning microseismic events, may be reduced by the two-dimensional model and simple method, and ill-conditioned equations produced by TDOA location method will increase the positioning error. This article, based on inversion theory, studies the mathematical model of TDOA location method, polariza- tion analysis location method, and comprehensive difference location method of adding angle factor in the traditional TDOA location method. The feasibility of three methods is verified by numerical simulation and analysis of the positioning error of them. The results show that the comprehensive location method of adding angle difference has strong positioning stability and high positioning accuracy, and it may reduce the impact effectively about ill-conditioned equations to positioning results. Comprehensive location method with the data of actual measure may get better positioning results.展开更多

Then we fit the velocity of all seismic phases recorded in Xinjiang region in January 2009 ~ December 2013. Simulation analysis is done on the reliability and stability of the velocities, and a concept is proposed for building subarea crustal velocity models according to partitioning of seismic cluster regions. The crustal velocity model suitable for the Yutian area is fitted with the data of all phases of seismic events within a radius of 1°around the 2014 Yutian M_S7.3 earthquake since January 2009,and the model is applied to the relocation of the Yutian M_S7.3 earthquake and determination of focal depths of the earthquake sequence.展开更多

Conventional techniques are considered inadequate in the analysis of military operative problems in presence of a self-attrition behavior from one of the involved parts. In this paper a traditional algorithm for measuring military power is implemented and analyzed and then we improve this traditional algorithm on the basis of the kind of degradation that systematically takes place in self-destructive systems. In terms of traditional analysis, the evolution of a war is essentially an unreal sequence of repetitive cycles. So a time-dependent function was introduced in improved the algorithm. The development of this tool of prediction has the aim to argue the management of taking decisions in this type of crisis and complements itself with historical arguments or references of rigor. A computer software show results that allows to estimate the costs of the support and to visualize the graphs associated with the degradation of the system and his temporary evolution. The improved algorithm is more suitable than the traditional one in software simulations.展开更多
