VLE data of the systems were taken from the literature for wide ranges of temperature (222.04-343.23K) and pressure (0.105 to 7.46MPa). BP-ANN trained by the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm in the MATLAB neural network toolbox was used for building and optimizing the model. It is shown that the established model could estimate the VLE with satisfactory precision and accuracy for the four systems with the root mean square error in the range of 0.054-0.119. Predictions using BP-ANN were compared with the conventional Redlich-Kwang-Soave (RKS) equation of state, suggesting that BP-ANN has better ability in estimation as compared with the RKS equation (the root mean square error in the range of 0.115-0.1546).展开更多

We here report the first case of BBE in China. Methods: Clinical features, results of electromyography, eleetroencephalography (EEG), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) examination were studied to clarify the characteristics of this syndrome. Results: A 44-year-old man presented himself at our inpatient department with somnolence and dizziness as his initial symptoms. He developed multiple cranial nerves paralysis especially internal and external ophthalmoplegia, ataxia and tetraparesis within 1 week. His condition rapidly deteriorated, and he experienced coma. Electromyography showed indications of peripheral nerve dysfunction, electroencephalography revealed loss of basic rhythm, MR1 demonstrated high-intensity abnormalities on T2-weighted images of medulla oblongata, and CSF albuminocytological dissociation was defined abnormally as high protein. Ten months later, he almost completely recovered. Conclusion: BBE, fisher syndrome (FS) and Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) are similar clinically; BBE and FS were proposed to be the variant of GBS.展开更多

The aim of this paper is to shed some light on the nature of the connection between the Central-East European Hungarian and South-East European Romanian and Bulgarian myth variants. The Hungarian pieces are the westernmost variants of the dualistic creation myth-group. Geographically, they stand close to the Romanian variants, but the serious motivational differences between the Romanian and Hungarian variants show that the descent of the two oral narrative groups are distinct, Both the Hungarian and the Romanian variants show similarities with the Bulgarian world creation myths, however, geographically they do not relate tightly. This is why a possible explanation of these correlations is, that the Hungarian and the Bulgarian myths have common Central Eurasian, South-Eastern Siberian origins, upon which starting from the sixth to the seventh centuries the super strata of various gnostic influences have settled.展开更多

Here we propose a new-conceptual memristor based on a memoristive interface composed of two types of non-memristive materials, successfully realizing continuously tunable resistance controlled by both voltage (current) and applied time of a single pulse with a swift response comparable with synapses. The brain-like memorizing capability of the memristor is demonstrated. The memoristive mechanism in the interface is thought to be dominated by a Schottky barrier tuned by the capture/release of the carriers in interface traps with dispersive energy.展开更多

Calcium is responsible messenger for transmitting information in communication process between neurons. The most important Ca^2+ binding proteins for the dynamics of Ca^2+ is itself buffer and other physiological parameters are located in Ca^2+ stores. In this study, the model incorporates the physiological parameters like diffusion coefficient, receptors, exogenous buffers etc. Appropriate boundary conditions have been framed in view of the physiological conditions. Computer simulations in MATLAB 7.11 are employed to investigate mathematical models of reaction-diffusion equation, the details of the implementation can heavily affect the numerical solutions and, thus, the outcome simulated on Core(TM) i3 CPU M 330 @ 2.13GHz processing speed and 3GB memory.展开更多
