The results showed that the modified Tris-HCl extraction method was the most suitable method in protein extraction for two-dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE) from apple leaves based on the highest resolution and more informative spots of 2-DE gels with no apparent vertical or horizontal streaking.展开更多

First, using the variational method, we discuss the ground-state phase transition of the two-component system. We also investigate the energy gap between the ground state and the first excited state. Moreover, by investigating the excitation spectrum, we also illustrate how the superfluid behavior of photons and PPs can be associated with the phase transition of the system.展开更多

Proton transfer occurs from the COOH of carboxylic acid to nitrogen of imidazole in all complexes (1-3), leading to the hydrogen bond N-H…O in all structures. To our knowledge, the recognition pattern between the carboxylic acid group and imidazole (acid-imidazole synthon) is less well-studied so far. The cooperation among COOH, COO and imidazolium cation functional groups for the observed hydrogen bond synthons is examined in the three structures. Generally, the strong N-H…O and O-H…O hydrogen bonds define supramolecular architecture and connectivity within chains, while weaker C-H…O hydrogen bonds play the dominant role in controlling the interactions between layers in these novel organic salts. Thermal stability of these compounds has been investigated by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) of mass loss.展开更多

The application of the method leads to a system of completely solvable ordinary differential equations. Several special cases are discussed and novel nonlinear exact solutions with respect to variables x and y are obtained. It is'of interest to notice that the pressure p is obtained by the second kind of curvilinear integral and the coefficients of the nonlinear solutions are solitary wave type functions like tanh( kt /2 ) and sech (kt/2) due to the rotational parameter k ≠ O. Such phenomenon never appear in the classical Euler equations wherein the Coriolis force arising from the gravity and Earth's rotation is ignored. Finally, illustrative numerical figures are attached to show the behaviors that the exact solutions may exhibit.展开更多

The human breast is assumed to be spherical in shape with upper hemisphere projecting out from the trunk of the body and lower hemisphere is considered to be a part of the body core. The upper hemisphere represents the breast and its SST region is divided into three layers namely epidermis, dermis and subdermal tissues. The inner part of the breast represents the core/shell of the breast. The outer surface of the breast is assumed to be exposed to the environment from where the heat loss takes place by conduction, convection, radiation and evaporation. The heat transfer from core to the surface takes place by thermal conduction and blood perfusion. Also metabolic activity takes place at different rates in different SST layers of the breast. Boundary conditions have been framed on the basis of physical conditions. A finite element model has been developed for a two-dimensional steady state case.展开更多
