The small autonomous platform with a thin line array is an important tool for underwater acoustic mobile surveillance.Generally,only one-dimensional(1-D)direction-of-arrival(DOA)of the source signal can be estimated u...The small autonomous platform with a thin line array is an important tool for underwater acoustic mobile surveillance.Generally,only one-dimensional(1-D)direction-of-arrival(DOA)of the source signal can be estimated using a thin towed line array.In this work,the two-dimensional(2-D)DOA estimation is achieved by the thin line array towed by a small autonomous platform due to its flexible maneuver.Two perpendicular tow paths are formed through the fast turning of this array.An L-shaped array is formed by the same towed array on these two tow paths at different times.Using the array on these two straight paths,two 1-D DOAs of the source signal are obtained respectively,and then the 2-D DOA based on the formed L-shaped array can be estimated.The effectiveness of proposed approach is verified by numerical simulations and its theoretical error is analyzed.展开更多
Petrovska klobasa is a traditional dry fermented sausage produced in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. Formation of nine hiogenic amines was determined in three sausage groups produced from hot deboned (A1) and ...Petrovska klobasa is a traditional dry fermented sausage produced in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. Formation of nine hiogenic amines was determined in three sausage groups produced from hot deboned (A1) and cold meat (B1, B3) during drying and ripening in traditional room (A1, B1) and in industrial ripening chamber (B3). Dansyl chloride derived amines were analysed by high-performance liquid chromatography with diode-array detector (HPLC-DAD) on Eclipse XDB-C18 column. Histamine, the most important amine from food safety point of view, was not found in any of the analyzed samples. Serotonin and spermidine were also not detected in any samples, while spermin was determined in all analyzed samples. At the end of drying, phenylethylamine was the predominant amine in A1 sausage group (51.6 mg/kg), and tryptamine in B1 (38.1 mg/kg) and B3 (28.7 mg/kg) sausage groups. At the end of ripening, tryptamine was the predominant biogenic amine in all sausage groups (133, 121 and 39.8 mg/kg in A1, B1 and B3 groups, respectively). Total level of biogenic amines in all investigated sausages did not exceed 174 mg/kg at the end of drying and 238 mg/kg at the end of ripening period. Tryptamine and cadaverine may be used as indicators of total biogenic amines for sausages produced in traditional and indusrial conditions from hot deboned and cold meat.展开更多
Objective The well-established planar multi-electrode array recording technique was used to investigate neural circuits and temporal plasticity in the hindlimb representation of the rat primary somatosensory cortex (...Objective The well-established planar multi-electrode array recording technique was used to investigate neural circuits and temporal plasticity in the hindlimb representation of the rat primary somatosensory cortex (S1 area) . Methods Freshly dissociated acute brain slices of rats were subject to constant perfusion with oxygenated artificial cerebrospinal fluid (95% O2 and 5% CO2) , and were mounted on a Med64 probe (64 electrodes, 8×8 array) for simultaneous multi-site electrophysiological recordings. Current sources and sinks across all the 64 electrodes were transformed into two-dimensional current source density images by bilinear interpolation at each point of the 64 electrodes. Results The local intracortical connection, which is involved in mediation of downward information flow across layers II-VI, was identified by electrical stimulation (ES) at layers II-III. The thalamocortical connection, which is mainly involved in mediation of upward information flow across layers II-IV, was also characterized by ES at layer IV. The thalamocortical afferent projections were likely to make more synaptic contacts with S1 neurons than the intracortical connections did. Moreover, the S1 area was shown to be more easily activated and more intensively innervated by the thalamocortical afferent projections than by the intracortical connections. Finally, bursting conditioning stimulus (CS) applied within layer IV of the S1 area could success-fully induce long-term potentiation (LTP) in 5 of the 6 slices (83.3%) , while the same CS application at layers II-III induced no LTP in any of the 6 tested slices. Conclusion The rat hindlimb representation of S1 area is likely to have at least 2 patterns of neural circuits on brain slices: one is the intracortical circuit (ICC) formed by interlaminar connections from layers II-III, and the other is the thalamocortical circuit (TCC) mediated by afferent connections from layer IV. Besides, ICC of the S1 area is spatially limited, with less plasticity, while TCC is spatially extensive and exhibits a better plasticity in response to somatosensory afferent stimulation. The present data provide a useful experimental model for further studying microcircuit properties in S1 cortex at the network level in vitro.展开更多

Atomically thin solid-state channels enabling selective molecular transport could potentially be used in a variety of separation and energy conversion applications.The density of channels,their height,distance and edg...Atomically thin solid-state channels enabling selective molecular transport could potentially be used in a variety of separation and energy conversion applications.The density of channels,their height,distance and edge structure are the key factors that dramatically impact the selective transport performance.However,such channels with small constrictions and atomic precision have been limited to proof-ofconcept demonstrations based on microscale two-dimensional(2D)crystal stripes.Here,we report the engineering of highly ordered,scalable monolayer graphene crystallite arrays by chemical vapor deposition(CVD)method with a modified anisotropic etching approach.The size,shape,distance and edge structure of the graphene crystallite arrays in a large area could be delicately controlled through tailoring the synthetic parameters.This array structure can act as pillars to prop up a smooth single-crystal graphene film,and the fabricated integrated angstrom-size(3.4A)channels allow water transport but exclude hydrated ions,demonstrating potential in selective ionic sieving and nanofiltration practice.展开更多
