One typical example is the emergence of the B2B website. The present paper looks at the B2B website, a conventionalized digital text, in terms of its communicative purposes, move features as well as linguistic specialties, with the aim of presenting the generic structure of the B2B website and its principal linguistic features contributing to the realization of its communicative purposes. More people cross borders of nations, leave their homeland and live in new homes, but they still maintain the characteristics of native culture and convention. The cultural turn in translation studies offers the best chance to understand more about the complexities of textual transfer and the patterns of cultural interaction. By virtue of this mode of cultural interaction, this paper has analyzed the translation practice and translation strategies from the cultural diaspora perspective, to deeply understand the relations between translation and culture beyond linguistic analysis. As in-between culture identity translators may re-examine two cultures with different eyes to find the intersection of two cultures and gain a balanced point. This move requires translators who play the role of intermediaries between cultures, to select the heterogeneous reconstruction, so as to achieve the intercultural communication in the translation activity展开更多

It is a cross-disciplinary study based on pragmatics, social linguistics and discourse analysis. This paper uses the theories and dynamic descriptions of conversation analysis and thematic structure analysis to examine two real texts for their textual and interpersonal meanings in order to illustrate the necessity as well as the feasibility of applying modern linguistic theories in transforming traditional methods of language teaching.展开更多

This paper summarizes some useful and efficient methods and practices to make teaching more effective and to help students learn better on the basis of integrated teaching approaches, especially, the CBI, the communicative approach, the natural approach. Language is being taught depend on the students' analysis. Successful learning should be learner-centered and in real-life communication. Teacher needs to supply authentic materials, good comprehensible input and low the affective filter to motivate the students learning. Moreover, teacher is suggested to establish an English-learning environment via learning English through English and teaching English through English.展开更多
