针对线/面细分拓扑关系研究存在的不足,提出了一种基于结点度的线/面细分拓扑关系描述与计算方法。该方法在定义线/面单元交线并分析其特点的基础上,引入结点度来区分线/面单元交线细分类型。根据单元交线端点在线/面目标组成图形结构... 针对线/面细分拓扑关系研究存在的不足,提出了一种基于结点度的线/面细分拓扑关系描述与计算方法。该方法在定义线/面单元交线并分析其特点的基础上,引入结点度来区分线/面单元交线细分类型。根据单元交线端点在线/面目标组成图形结构中结点度的不同,及线目标在度为3和4的交线端点处是否有相连线段、相连线段位于多边形的边界上、内部或外部4个谓词推导出了21种有意义的线/面交线细分拓扑关系类型。在此基础上分析比较了本文方法与现有方法的异同与优势,举例说明本文方法在复杂线/面细分拓扑关系描述中的应用。最后用Visual C#语言编程实现了该方法,并将其应用到线状道路/面状河流目标间的数据质量检查与修正中,验证可行性。 展开更多

isoAdvector是一种新的几何VOF(Volume of Fluid)方法,虽然克服了传统几何VOF方法难以适用于三维空间任意多面体网格的缺点,但不能直接用来模拟涉及动网格技术的液舱晃荡.为此,引入了运动通量修正,并提出了面-界面交线运动修正,使得修... isoAdvector是一种新的几何VOF(Volume of Fluid)方法,虽然克服了传统几何VOF方法难以适用于三维空间任意多面体网格的缺点,但不能直接用来模拟涉及动网格技术的液舱晃荡.为此,引入了运动通量修正,并提出了面-界面交线运动修正,使得修正后的isoAdvector方法可以应用到液舱晃荡的模拟中.基于不同的VOF方法对非共振、共振受迫晃荡和单次冲击波面进行数值模拟,并将模拟结果与试验结果以及解析解进行了比较.结果表明:相对于代数VOF方法,采用修正后的isoAdvector方法获得的自由液面位置和整体水动力载荷精度更高;捕捉的波面没有褶皱,能够较好地模拟波面的翻卷和破碎.此外,提出了界面厚度的估计方法,分析了自由液面波高精度提高的原因. 展开更多

A mathematical model has been developed using the space engagement theory and the differential geometry for the line contact of noninvolute beveloid gears with intersecting axes with their tooth profile equations and engagement equations established for the first time and their meshing theory analysed. It can be seen from the fact that the tooth profile equation finally derived is no longer a standard involute helicoid and standard involute beveloid gears with intersecting axes have no way to satisfy the line contact requirement. However, the noninvdute beveloid gears derived in this paper satisfy the line contact requirement very well. All these work will inevitably facilitate further investigations into gear tooth generation, stiffness, backlash and efficiency of transmission. 展开更多

When offsetting the contour to compensate for the radius of laser spot, many self-intersection contours come into being, which decrease the precision of formed parts. A new lemma to judge the local self-intersection contour and the global self-intersection contour separately is put forward, according to which self-intersection contour can be removed reliably. Development of Cubic Bezier Curve and Curve-Plane Intersection Method for Parametric Submarine Hull Form Design to Optimize Hull Resistance Using CFD

Optimization analysis and computational fluid dynamics (CFDs) have been applied simultaneously, in which a parametric model plays an important role in finding the optimal solution. However, it is difficult to create a parametric model for a complex shape with irregular curves, such as a submarine hull form. In this study, the cubic Bezier curve and curve-plane intersection method are used to generate a solid model of a parametric submarine hull form taking three input parameters into account: nose radius, tail radius, and length-height hull ratio (L/H). Application program interface (API) scripting is also used to write code in the ANSYS DesignModeler. The results show that the submarine shape can be generated with some variation of the input parameters. An example is given that shows how the proposed method can be applied successfully to a hull resistance optimization case. The parametric design of the middle submarine type was chosen to be modified. First, the original submarine model was analyzed, in advance, using CFD. Then, using the response surface graph, some candidate optimal designs with a minimum hull resistance coefficient were obtained. Further, the optimization method in goal-driven optimization (GDO) was implemented to find the submarine hull form with the minimum hull resistance coefficient (Ct). The minimum C, was obtained. The calculated difference in (7, values between the initial submarine and the optimum submarine is around 0.26%, with the C, of the initial submarine and the optimum submarine being 0.001 508 26 and 0.001 504 29, respectively. The results show that the optimum submarine hull form shows a higher nose radius (rn) and higher L/H than those of the initial submarine shape, while the radius of the tail (r1) is smaller than that of the initial shape. 展开更多

In this paper, we present a novel geometric method for efficiently and robustly computing intersections between a ray and a triangular Bezier patch defined over a triangular domain, called the hybrid clipping (HC) algorithm. If the ray pierces the patch only once, we locate the parametric value of the intersection to a smaller triangular domain, which is determined by pairs of lines and quadratic curves, by using a multi-degree reduction method. The triangular domain is iteratively clipped into a smaller one by combining a subdivision method, until the domain size reaches a prespecified threshold. When the ray intersects the patch more than once, Descartes' rule of signs and a split step are required to isolate the intersection points. The algorithm can be proven to clip the triangular domain with a cubic convergence rate after an appropriate preprocessing procedure. The proposed algorithm has many attractive properties, such as the absence of an initial guess and insensitivity to small changes in coefficients of the original problem. Experiments have been conducted to illustrate the efficacy of our method in solving ray-triangular Bezier patch intersection problems. 展开更多
