The delay time is assumed to b e invariant and unknown. The proposed control structure consists of a slave syst em and a master controller. In the slave system, a recurrent neural network (RNN ) with on-line weight tuning algorithm is employed to approximate the dynamics of the time-delay-free nonlinear plant, which is used to linearize the slave s ystem. The master controller is a Smith predictor for the linearized slave syste m, which provides prediction and maintains the desirable tracking performance. S tability propriety is guaranteed based on the Lyapunov method. A simulation of a two-link robotic manipulator is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of th e proposed control strategy.展开更多

The design frame of the system is described, and its important core techniques are described. An octrees data structure is utilized to build kinematic and dynamic modeling of the virtual simulation environment, Delphi+OpenGL+3DS MAX are adopted to carry through the virtual modeling and visible simulation exploitation of the slave-robot and its environment. Photo-correction is adopted to correct positioning deviation of the virtual geometric model and modeling errors. The cost of software and hardware equipment for the research platform realized is low. The master/slave robot (manipulator) system and all software in the system were designed and manufactured by our research group. The performance of the system has reached the level required for research. An indispensable experiment base is provided for the research of a telepresence telerobot system based on virtual reality technology.展开更多
[Objective]The aim was to examine the anti heptocarcinoma effects of human interleukin-12(hIL-12) from transgenic potatoes.[Method]Human heptocarcinoma cell line HepG22.2.15 was cocultured with human peripherial blo...[Objective]The aim was to examine the anti heptocarcinoma effects of human interleukin-12(hIL-12) from transgenic potatoes.[Method]Human heptocarcinoma cell line HepG22.2.15 was cocultured with human peripherial blood monocyte(PBMC).Human IL-12 extracted from its transgenic patatoes was introduced to this coculture system.MTT method and laser confocal microscope were then employed to evaluate its survival rates and morphological changes of HepG22.2.15 cell line.[Result]The HepG22.2.15 survival rate of the plant produced hIL-12 treated group was significantly lower than that of the wild type control,while similar to that of commercial purified recombinant hIL-12 group.As indicated by AnnexinV/PI double staining laser confocal microscope,cocultured heptocarcinoma cells showed the typical early and final phase apoptotic morphological characteristics 48 hours after 2 × 10-4 mg/L potato secreted hIL-12 treatment.[Conclusion] These results demonstrated that Heptocarcinoma HepG22.2.15 cell growth could be actively inhibited by the transgenic potato expressed hIL-12 in vitro.展开更多
Objective: To explore the expression of Th1/Th2 cytokines gene in human gliomas and its role in the genesis and development of human gliomas.Methods: Using IL-2 and IFNγ as Th1 type cytokines, IL-4, IL-6 and IL-10 as...Objective: To explore the expression of Th1/Th2 cytokines gene in human gliomas and its role in the genesis and development of human gliomas.Methods: Using IL-2 and IFNγ as Th1 type cytokines, IL-4, IL-6 and IL-10 as Th2 type cytokines, the biological activity of cytokines in the supernatant of glioma cell lines was assayed by ELISA method, and the gene expression of Th1/Th2 cytokines in human glioma cells, glioma infiltrating lymphocytes and glioma cell lines were detected by RT-PCR.Results: There was predominant expression of Th2 type cytokines in human glioma cells, glioma infiltrating lymphocytes and glioma cell lines, but there was no such expression in normal brain tissues.Conclusion: It suggested that there is a relationship between the Th2 type cytokines expression in human gliomas and the immunosupressive status of human glioma patients. The predominant expression of Th2 type cytokines may play an important role in the genesis and development of human gliomas. By measuring wetland plants chlorophyll content,malondialdehyde(MDA) content and superoxide dismutase(SOD) enzyme activity,the changes of wetland plant physiological characeristics under different power strength were ...By measuring wetland plants chlorophyll content,malondialdehyde(MDA) content and superoxide dismutase(SOD) enzyme activity,the changes of wetland plant physiological characeristics under different power strength were studied,and the mechanism of electric field on plant physiological characteristics was analyzed to provide a theoretical basis for the pollutant removal ability strengthening of artificial wetland under electricfield.The results showed that compared with the control plants,low-intensity-voltage(1 V and 3 V) had no significant effect on the normal physiological and biochemical indexes of the plants,and the growth trend was better than the control group;with the voltage increasing,plant chlorophyll content,MDA content and SOD activity were greatly affected,indicating that plants were under strong oxidative stress,and the growth was damaged.Therefore,a suitable electric field could enhance the sewage treatment effect of constructed wetland.展开更多

This study aims to create a suboptimal reference course for headland turning of a robot tractor and d...In a tractor automatic navigation system, path planning plays a significant role in improving operation efficiency. This study aims to create a suboptimal reference course for headland turning of a robot tractor and design a path-tracking controller to guide the robot tractor along the reference course. A time-minimum suboptimal control method was used to generate the reference turning course based on the mechanical parameters of the test tractor. A path-tracking controller consisting of both feedforward and feedback component elements was also proposed. The feedforward component was directly determined by the desired steering angle of the current navigation point on the reference course, whereas the feedback component was derived from the designed optimal controller. Computer simulation and field tests were performed to validate the path-tracking performance. Field test results indicated that the robot tractor followed the reference courses precisely on flat meadow, with average and standard lateral devia- tions being 0.031 m and 0.086 m, respectively. However, the tracking error increased while operating on sloping meadow due to the employed vehicle kinematic model.展开更多

Mutant and ectopic expression analyses in...The hedgehog-patched (hh-ptc) intercellular signaling pathway has recently been shown to control the proliferation of epithelial stem cells in both Drosophila and vertebrates. Mutant and ectopic expression analyses in Drosophila suggest that the HH protein diffuses from the signaling cells to promote the proliferation of nearby ovarian somatic stem cells by antagonizing the suppression of its receptor PTC towards the CI transcription factor in the stem cells. Consequently, the transcription of CIdependent genes leads to stem cell proliferation. This regulatory pathway appears to function also in vertebrates,where defects in ptc cause basal cell carcinoma, tumors of epidermal stem cell origin. Basal cell carcinoma can also be induced by ectopic expression of Sonic hedgehog (shh) or Glil, the vertebrate homolog of ci. These studies suggest the conservation of the hh signaling pathway in controlling epithelial stem cell divisions among different organisms.展开更多

AIM:To compare histological endpoint assessment using noninvasive alternatives to biopsy during treatment in a chronic hepatitis C virus(HCV)cohort.METHODS:Patients with chronic HCV were randomized to receive interfer...AIM:To compare histological endpoint assessment using noninvasive alternatives to biopsy during treatment in a chronic hepatitis C virus(HCV)cohort.METHODS:Patients with chronic HCV were randomized to receive interferon-based therapy for 24(genotypes 2/3)or 48(genotype 1)wk.FibroSURE~TM(FS)was assessed at baseline and at week-12 post-treatment follow-up.Baseline biopsy for METAVIR was assessed by a single pathologist.FibroScan~ transient elastogra-phy(TE)was performed during treatment in a patient subset.RESULTS:Two thousand and sixty patients(n = 253 in Asia)were classif ied as METAVIR F0-1(n = 1682)or F2-4(n = 378).For F2-4,FS(n = 2055)had sensitiv-ity and specif icity of 0.87 and 0.61,respectively,with area under the receiver-operating curve of 0.82;corre-sponding values for TE(n = 214)and combined FS/TE(n = 209)were 0.77,0.88 and 0.88,and 0.93,0.68 and 0.88.Overall FS/TE agreement for F2-4 was 71%(κ = 0.41)and higher in Asians vs non-Asians(κ = 0.86 vs 0.35;P < 0.001).Combined FS/TE had 97% accuracy in Asians(n = 33).Baseline FS(0.38 vs 0.51,P < 0.001)and TE(8.0 kPa vs 11.9 kPa,P = 0.006)scores were lower in patients with sustained virological response than in nonresponders,and were maintained through follow-up.CONCLUSION:FS and TE may reliably differentiate mild from moderate-advanced disease,with a potential for high diagnostic accuracy in Asians with chronic HCV.展开更多

In an underground coal mine all radio navigation; satellite positioning or celestial navigation methods have their limitations. We analyzed an inertial navi-gation system intended to guide the movement a shearer and designed a self-positioning device for the shearer. Simulation tests were also performed on the system. We analyzed the errors observed in these tests to show that the main reason for the low preci-sion of the self-positioning system is accumulated error in the inertial sensor. A Kalman filtering algorithm used in combination with the shearer motion model effectively reduces the measurement errors of the self-positioning system by compensating for gyroscopic drift. Finally, we built an error compensation model to reduce accumulated errors using continuous correction to provide self-positioning of the shearer within a certain range of accuracy.展开更多

The CTSM gives the robot a larger workspace, more dexterous manipulation, and controllable stiffness compared with the da Vinci surgical robot and traditional flexible robots. The robot is tele-operated using the Novint Falcon haptic device. Two control modes are implemented, direct mapping and incremental mode. In each mode, the robot can be manipulated using either the highest stiffness scheme or the minimal movement scheme. The advantages of the CTSM are shown by simulation and experimental results.展开更多
AIM:To investigate health-related quality of life(HRQoL) and psychological outcomes in 256 adults who had undergone liver transplantation(LT).METHODS:A stratified random sampling method was used in this follow-up mult...AIM:To investigate health-related quality of life(HRQoL) and psychological outcomes in 256 adults who had undergone liver transplantation(LT).METHODS:A stratified random sampling method was used in this follow-up multicenter study to select a representative sample of recipients undergoing either living donor liver transplantation(LDLT) or deceased donor liver transplantation(DDLT).HRQoL was measured by using the Chinese version of Medical Outcome Study Short Form-36(SF-36),and psychological outcomes by using the beck anxiety inventory(BAI) and the self-rating depression scale(SDS).Clinical and demographic data were collected from the records of the Chinese Liver Transplant Registry and via questionnaires.RESULTS:A total of 256 patients were sampled,including 66(25.8%) receiving LDLT and 190(74.2%) undergoing DDLT;15(5.9%) recipients had anxiety and four(1.6%) developed severe depression after the operation.Compared with LDLT recipients,DDLT patients had higher scores in general health(60.33 ± 16.97 vs 66.86 ± 18.42,P = 0.012),role-physical(63.64 ± 42.55 vs 74.47 ± 36.46,P = 0.048),roleemotional(61.11 ± 44.37 vs 78.95 ± 34.31,P = 0.001),social functioning(78.60 ± 22.76 vs 88.16 ± 21.85,P = 0.003),vitality(70.30 ± 15.76 vs 75.95 ± 16.40,P = 0.016),mental health(65.88 ± 12.94 vs 71.85 ± 15.45,P = 0.005),physical component summary scale(PCS,60.07 ± 7.36 vs 62.58 ± 6.88,P = 0.013) and mental component summary scale(MCS,52.65 ± 7.66 vs 55.95 ± 10.14,P = 0.016).Recipients > 45 years old at the time of transplant scored higher in vitality(77.33 ± 15.64 vs 72.52 ± 16.66,P = 0.020),mental health(73.64 ± 15.06 vs 68.00 ± 14.65,P = 0.003) and MCS(56.61 ± 10.00 vs 54.05 ± 9.30,P = 0.037) than those aged ≤ 45 years.MCS was poorer in recipients with than in those without complications(52.92 ± 12.21 vs 56.06 ± 8.16,P = 0.017).Regarding MCS(55.10 ± 9.66 vs 50.0 ± 10.0,P < 0.05) and PCS(61.93 ± 7.08 vs 50.0 ± 10.0,P < 0.05),recipients scored better than the Sichuan general and had improved overall QoL compared to patients with chronic diseases.MCS and PCS significantly correlated with scores of the BAI(P < 0.001) and the SDS(P < 0.001).CONCLUSION:Age > 45 years at time of transplant,DDLT,full-time working,no complications,anxiety and depression were possible factors influencing postoperative HRQoL in liver recipients.展开更多

文摘AIM:To investigate health-related quality of life(HRQoL) and psychological outcomes in 256 adults who had undergone liver transplantation(LT).METHODS:A stratified random sampling method was used in this follow-up multicenter study to select a representative sample of recipients undergoing either living donor liver transplantation(LDLT) or deceased donor liver transplantation(DDLT).HRQoL was measured by using the Chinese version of Medical Outcome Study Short Form-36(SF-36),and psychological outcomes by using the beck anxiety inventory(BAI) and the self-rating depression scale(SDS).Clinical and demographic data were collected from the records of the Chinese Liver Transplant Registry and via questionnaires.RESULTS:A total of 256 patients were sampled,including 66(25.8%) receiving LDLT and 190(74.2%) undergoing DDLT;15(5.9%) recipients had anxiety and four(1.6%) developed severe depression after the operation.Compared with LDLT recipients,DDLT patients had higher scores in general health(60.33 ± 16.97 vs 66.86 ± 18.42,P = 0.012),role-physical(63.64 ± 42.55 vs 74.47 ± 36.46,P = 0.048),roleemotional(61.11 ± 44.37 vs 78.95 ± 34.31,P = 0.001),social functioning(78.60 ± 22.76 vs 88.16 ± 21.85,P = 0.003),vitality(70.30 ± 15.76 vs 75.95 ± 16.40,P = 0.016),mental health(65.88 ± 12.94 vs 71.85 ± 15.45,P = 0.005),physical component summary scale(PCS,60.07 ± 7.36 vs 62.58 ± 6.88,P = 0.013) and mental component summary scale(MCS,52.65 ± 7.66 vs 55.95 ± 10.14,P = 0.016).Recipients > 45 years old at the time of transplant scored higher in vitality(77.33 ± 15.64 vs 72.52 ± 16.66,P = 0.020),mental health(73.64 ± 15.06 vs 68.00 ± 14.65,P = 0.003) and MCS(56.61 ± 10.00 vs 54.05 ± 9.30,P = 0.037) than those aged ≤ 45 years.MCS was poorer in recipients with than in those without complications(52.92 ± 12.21 vs 56.06 ± 8.16,P = 0.017).Regarding MCS(55.10 ± 9.66 vs 50.0 ± 10.0,P < 0.05) and PCS(61.93 ± 7.08 vs 50.0 ± 10.0,P < 0.05),recipients scored better than the Sichuan general and had improved overall QoL compared to patients with chronic diseases.MCS and PCS significantly correlated with scores of the BAI(P < 0.001) and the SDS(P < 0.001).CONCLUSION:Age > 45 years at time of transplant,DDLT,full-time working,no complications,anxiety and depression were possible factors influencing postoperative HRQoL in liver recipients.
