非完整视点信息的重构技术可以利用少量的对象视点信息 ,结合统计学的理论方法对缺失视点信息进行预测和恢复 .该文探讨了从单幅 2D人像恢复其它视点图像并重构 3D形态效果的技术 ,提出了非完整人像视点续变的技术框架 ,通过大视点数据... 非完整视点信息的重构技术可以利用少量的对象视点信息 ,结合统计学的理论方法对缺失视点信息进行预测和恢复 .该文探讨了从单幅 2D人像恢复其它视点图像并重构 3D形态效果的技术 ,提出了非完整人像视点续变的技术框架 ,通过大视点数据库的离线创建 ,单视点输入的模型匹配 ,以及大视点空间映射与连续视点重建三个模块 ,从单视点合成连续的多视点图像 .该技术以尽量少的人像 2D信息获得高真实度的 3D效果 ,绕过了 3D模型重构 ,可恢复出未知人脸表面的纹理信息 .最后结合AIAR人像库的实际建库经验 ,讨论了人像数据的采集技术和分类方法 。 展开更多

The study was aimed to identify the problems and also to suggest some solutions for robotic systems applications in harvesting of kiwi and apples. The results obtained show that physicomechanical properties of the harvested fruits had an effect on the use of robotic systems. Parameters such as weight, height, width, thickness and surface area were identified as the main effect in robotic fruit harvesting. Image processing techniques also had direct effect on robotic systems operation which therefore requires careful selection procedure to achieve results accuracy. It was observed that the C# programming language used in robotic systems fruit harvesting should be parallel with the image processing to ensure accurate conversion of kinematic calculation, system input parameters and constant values. The use of hobby-type parts of a robot in the prototype study showed reliable results. However, to ensure functionality of the robotic systems application, industrial robots and servo engines should be used. It was also observed that the use of a gripper for picking the fruits from the branch must The engines that make the system work should be strong and the be made considering the physicomechanical properties of the fruit. cutting system should also be appropriate. 展开更多

In order to solve the problem caused by variation illumination in human face recognition,we bring forward a face recognition algorithm based on the improved multi-sample. In this algorithm,the face image is processed with Retinex theory,meanwhile,the Gabor filter is adopted to perform the feature extraction. The experimental results show that the application of Retinex theory improves the recognition accuracy,and makes the algorithm more robust to the variation illumination. The Gabor filter is more effective and accurate for extracting more useable facial local features. It is proved that the proposed algorithm has good recognition accuracy and it is stable under variation illumination. 展开更多

Chromatism classification and edge detection are two difficult problems in glass steel surface quality inspection. Two artificial neural networks were made and the two problems were solved. The one solved chromatism classification. Hue, saturation and their probability of three colors, whose appearing probabilities were maximum in color histogram, were selected as input parameters, and the number of output node could be adjusted with the change of requirement. The other solved edge detection. In this neutral network, edge detection of gray scale image was able to be tested with trained neural networks for a binary image. It prevent the difficulty that the number of needed training samples was too large if gray scale images were directly regarded as training samples. This system is able to be applied to not only glass steel fault inspection but also other product online quality inspection and classification. 展开更多

We present a Legendre moment based segmentation algorithm. The Legendre moments in small local windows of the image are computed first and a nonlinear transducer is used to map the moments to texture features and these features are used to construct feature vectors used as input data. Then an RBF neural network is used to perform segmentation. A k-mean algorithm is used to train the hidden layers of the RBF neural network. The training of the output layer is the supervised algorithm based on LMS. The algorithm has been successfully used to segment a number of gray level texture images. Compared with the geometric moment-based texture segmentation, we can reduce the error rates using orthogonal moments. 展开更多

For more objective rust defect recognition, digital image recognition methods have been developed for the past few years and they are expected to replace or complement conventional painting inspection methods. Efficient image processing methods are also essential for the successful implementation of steel bridge coating warranty contracting where the owner, usually a state agency, and the contractor inspect steel bridge coating conditions regularly and decide whether additional maintenance actions are needed based on the processed data. There are two approaches to develop automated rust defect recognition methods: applying a statistical method or an artificial intelligence technique. This paper presents the application of previously developed image processing methods for defect evaluations on a bridge coating surface and discusses their limitations under three environmental conditions which are often encountered while acquiring digital images. 展开更多

The approach of the authors relies entirely on image based rendering techniques. A scheme is utilized for re-illumination of objects based on linear combination of low dimensional image representations. The minimum rendering condition of technique of the authors is three sample images under varying illumination of a reference object and a single input image of an interested object. Video signal is steamed through its camera as the image input to the interface by employing techniques of image processing, computer vision and graphics to identify automatically absolute positions of human face, neck and two hands.
