论学校体育的物化与人化

从社会学的角度出发,对物化的学校体育进行了分析,发现学校体育在育人方面一直偏重于以物为中心,出现了物化现象,偏离了以人为本这个基本观点。为了使学校体育在育人思想上能坚持以人为本的原则,提出人化体育这一新理念,努力扭转学校体育的物化局面,使学校体育由物化向人化升华。

Discussion about cultural commonalities of Chinese martial arts and kickboxing in a developing perspective

With five thousand years of civilization, the profound traditional culture of China has cultivated generations of Chinese people to possess the spirit of manner, patience, humility, perseverance and self-improvement, which especially are expressed in the sports industry, let alone in taekwondo. Taekwondo emphasizes morality and respect for teachers. It requires practices to love the motherland, love the people, respect opponents and abide by good faith; to emphasis on inner training and spiritual cultivation; to develop noble moral characters like courtesy, patience, self-denial, humility and tolerance. Because taekwondo take footwork as the main means of attack, the atmosphere of competition will be intense and the two sides battle with wits and physical fighting with amazing destructive power and lethality. So practitioner＇ s inner practice and morality is particularly emphasized. Chinese traditional culture plays a vital role among it.

The Relevance of Sports to the Development of Education in Nigeria, 1904 Till Date

Sporting activities have been part of the culture, customs and natural living of man; they have direct relationship with plans, purposes and goals of human beings. Sports have existed with education since primitive times, when man developed skills like hunting, handling of weapons, tests of strength, endurance and courage. This paper examines the relevance of sporting activities to the development of education in Nigeria, since colonial era- 1904 till date. Sports like football, soccer, badminton, handball, volleyball, tennis, swimming and athletics have corroborated teaching and learning activities at all levels of education be it informal, formal and non formal education in Nigeria. Historical research methodology in education was used to carry out and analyze data for this paper using archival materials and oral interviews as primary sources while textbooks, journals and internet materials were used as secondary sources. The main focuses of the paper are＂ to examine the concepts of sports an6 education, the place of sports in the educational policy and curriculum in Nigeria, advantages of sports to education and nation building, challenges of sports in education and offer suggestions for the improvement of sports and education in Nigeria. The findings of the study revealed that; sports was formally introduced into educational curriculum in Nigeria as physical education in 1904 by the British administration, sports promotes physical health and fitness, recreational activities, relaxation prestige, economic status, identifies talents, abilities, impart skills, encourage socio-cultural relationship which enhances unity among the populace. The forum to benefit from sports usually come at grassroots, school inter-house sports, and inter-schools competitions and association forum. Challenges of sports include inadequate funding, mismanagement of funds, lack of integrity, inadequate personnel, dwindling infrastructural and sporting facilities, inadequate training and medical facilities. It is recommended that, if all the above challenges are properly addressed, sporting activities will project Nigerian education more for overall development both nationally and internationally.

Contemporary college students will be the future mainstay of the world and the country. It is significant to accept education of the Olympic culture. While they know the long and broad Olympic culture, they can also inherit the Olympic spirit of mutual understanding, friendship, solidarity and fair competition, know that the world needs to be cleaner, more humane, more united.

Establishing a Teacher Performance Evaluation System Geared to the Cultivation of Character:With a Reflection on New Public Management Theory

Since New Public Management theory,which seeks to promote public management reform with the techniques used to catalyze economic development,was introduced into the field of education,it has led to the implementation of education accountability measures and reforms focusing on performance-related pay for teachers.Performance-related pay was meant to improve teacher performance,and has played an important role in providing teachers with incentives and raising educational quality.In practice,however,problems have emerged that deserve serious attention.For example,the evaluation indicators based on this theory have distorted the direction of public management due to their over-emphasis on instrumental rationality and neglect of value rationality.Further,they highlight the interim goal of"instilling knowledge"at the cost of the fundamental aim of"cultivating talent,"thus producing results opposite to those intended.On the basis of the value rationality of education and China’s reality,this paper suggests that educational institutions should shift from"New Public Management"to a"holistic and decentralized governance"approach,fostering an environment dedicated to cultivating talent and introducing this feature intothe evaluation of teacher performance.The core socialist values need to be integrated into teacher policy and internalized by teachers as their emotional identity and customary behavior.
