Patent Information Analysis of Front-end Industry Chain in China's Tobacco Industry

The research performed analysis on patent applicant ranking, IPC, patent type and legal status in order to explore application and authorization of front-end industry chain dominated by planting, breeding, soil improvement and substrate culti- vation technologies. The results showed that research institutions and big tobacco enterprises play a leading role in the tobacco industry, for example, Yunnan Tobac- co Agricultural S＆T Research Institute and Guizhou Tobacco Agricultural S＆T Re- search Institute have a total of 26 patents; A01G subclass represents 58% of total patents, dominated by Yunnan Tobacco Agricultural S＆T Research Institute and Henan Agricultural University; there are only invention and practical use patents, of which invention patents represent 92%; authorized patents take up to 31% and in- valid patents represent 23%.

ADJUSTING EFFECTS OF APPLICATION OF GARLIC PASTE AT SHNQU (神阙 CV8) ON THE CIRCADIAN RHYTHM OF BODY TEMPERATURE INDUCED BY SLEEP DEPRIVATION

Objective To observe the effect of application of garlic paste at Shenque （神阙 CV8） on the circadian rhythm in sleep deprivation young students. Metheds Twenty healthy volunteer young male students from Southern Medical University were randomly divided into three groups： normal group （A）, sleep deprivation group （B） and treatment group （C）. Volunteers in group B and C received 48 h sleep deprivation （SD）, and in the mean time volunteers in group C were treated by garlic paste at Shenque （神阙 CV8）, while those in group A had no any treatment. The body temperature of all the volunteers was detected at 6：00 am, 12：00 am, 6：00 pm and 0：00 am, respectively, after the treatment. Results The mean body temperature values in group A and C both were highest at 6： 00 pm and lowest at 6： 00 am which had a significant difference in each group （P〈0.01）; in group B, the mean body temperature was highest at 0：00 am and lowestat 6：00 am, no significant difference was found between them （P〉0.05）. Results of cosine analysis showed that in subjects of group B the circadian rhythm of body temperature still kept going well after SD, but the peak amplitude and amplitude of vibration were higher than those of group A, and the acrophase of group B was obviously lower than that of group C and A. The 3 indexes of group C were similar to those of group A, denoting that garlic paste application of Shenque （神阙 CV8） could prevent disorders of circadian rhythm of the body temperature. Conclusion The garlic paste application at Shenque （神阙 CV8） can adjust circadian rhythm and accelerate the recovery processes of circadian rhythm in SD young students.

The dilemma of implantable cardioverter-defibrillator therapy in the geriatric population

Current guidelines for implantable cardioverter-defibrillator （ICD） therapy in heart failure patients were established by multiple device Irials; however, very few geriatric patients （patients ≥ 65 years old） were included in these studies. This article explores the controversies of ICD implantation in the geriatric population, management of delivered ICD therapy in this age group, and the end of life care in patients with ICD.

Study on the Growth Law of 23-year-old Castanopsis fissa Plantation

This paper studies the growth law of 23-year-old Castanopsis fissa planta- tion in Haiming forest farm （Pingguo County, Baise City, Guangxi Province） with the method of stem analysis. The results show that the average DBH, tree height and volume of the 23-year-old C. fissa plantation are 19.4 cm, 20.4 m and 0.326 1 m3 respectively. The fast growing periods of DBH, tree height and volume are the 2^nd- 8^th, 6^th-11^th, 6^th-23^nd year. Annual increment curve and average increment curve of volume haven＇t intersected in the 23 years, which means the 23-year-old C. fissais plantation has not reached the quantitative mature age. The growth equations of DBH, tree height and volume are D=1.713 3T-0.050 6T2＋0.000 7T2-1.942 2, H= 1.925 7T-0.039 8T2-2.489 0, V=-0.010 4T-0.002 4T2-4.084 8e^-0.005 T2＋0.012 7. Ac- cording to the volume regression equation of Castanopsis fissa, it will reach quanti- tative maturity in the 24~ year.

Atrial fibrillation in the elderly

Atrial fibrillation （AF） is the most frequent arrhythmia. Due to population aging, AF is a growing epidemic and its importance will continue to increase in the next decades. Although the prevalence of AF is high in advanced age, the number of subjects with predisposing factors for AF is even higher. Most of these factors increase the risk of atrial fibro- sis, an important component of atrial arrhythmia mecha- nisms. In fact, the new techniques to detect atrial fibrosis are showing the strong association between atrial fibrosis and AF risk. Regarding predisposing factors for AF, interatrial block （LAB） seems to be a key factor.

Migration Laws of Floating Population in Mianyang

Based on the overall analysis of the floating population among big and medium-sized cities in China,this paper, by means of statistics and questionnaires, makes a systematical study on the migratory features of the floating population in Mianyang, its employment structure, migrating causes and channels. According to the findings, the author finds a fact that with the strategy of Western Development, and with the construction of science and technology city of Mianyang, the migrating in Mianyang conforms to the general patterns of the migration, which has happened in those big and medium-sized cities in China.In addition,the city has a new but unique feature — economic factor, as the driving force of population migration, is quite distinct from that of those citiesin eastern areas of China.

Study on dynamics of central pattern generator for a quadrupedal robot

Based on Matsuoka＇s central pattern generator （CPG） model and taking quadruped as an example, the dynamics of CPG model was investigated through the single-parameter-analysis method and the numerical simulation technique. Simulation results indicate that the CPG model exhibits complex dynamics, while each parameter has specifically definitive influence trends on the CPG output. These conclusions were applied to control a quadrupedal robot to walk in different gaits, clear obstacle, and walk up- and down-slope successfully.

Atrial fibrillation： the current epidemic

Atrial fibrillation （AF） is the most common arrhythmia diagnosed in clinical practice. The consequences of AF have been clearly estab- lished in multiple large observational cohort studies and include increased stroke and systemic embolism rates if no oral anticoagulation is prescribed, with increased morbidity and mortality. With the worldwide aging of the population characterized by a large influx of ＂baby boomers＂ with or without risk factors for developing AF, an epidemic is forecasted within the next 10 to 20 years. Although not all studies support this evidence, it is clear that AF is on the rise and a significant amount of health resources are invested in detecting and managing AF This review focuses on the worldwide burden of AF and reviews global health strategies focused on improving detection, prevention and risk stratification of AF, recently recommended by the World Heart Federation.

The Research On Protecting of Criminal Victims ＇ Rights

In the scales of the human rights protection which is not only meant to protect the basic rights of suspects, but also included the rights of victims, both are very important. However, during the execution process, the criminal legal relations are always simply to be defined as the relationship between the national authorities with the suspects except the victims. The victim＇ s benefits and aspirations are often ignored because they are viewed as a category of witnesses. Therefore, it is against the will of legals,which is better to give the victims the concerned parties to participants the processing, then their rights can be protected and got the coordinating compensation.

Contentious Discourses： Signifying on the Law in African American Writing

African American narratives are peopled with subjectivities struggling to retrieve and reconstruct themselves as persons--and thus citizens--through and against American legal narratives, where personhood and citizenship are concerned. Thus, there was the problematic for blacks of how to apply citizenship to their corporeal existence when they were labeled as property. The historical legal narrative of America was constructed on the power of the dominant white elite to prevent the emergence of a narrative of African American life other than that which they authorize, legislate, and narrate. To this end, it has been argued, that narratives in African American literature treat the question of the legal status of African Americans or have it as a fundamental trope of struggle in the narrative. This idea suggests that the law＇s ability as a shaper and determinant of African American social identity, presets the narrative base for African American narrative. This paper examines the relationship between ＂＇laws of separations＂, and African American narrative through a rereading of works of two contemporary novelists, Toni Morrison and Gloria Naylor. Their works, the author argue, are counter-positioned narratives that create contentious dialogue and elaborate the way in which segregationist codes and Jim Crow laws are grounded in the very nature of citizenship for African Americans.

The Health and Morals of Minors： The Glue-Sniffing Epidemic in Louisiana Legislation and Law, 1966-1972

In response to horror stories throughout the country concerning childhood deaths from sniffing model airplane glue, organizations around Louisiana would begin lobbying for legislation to criminalize the practice in 1966. State lawmakers spent much of that summer crafting an anti-glue-sniffing measure for the state. The debates that resulted from the attempt, however, never really focused on the sustainability or practical use of such a law, but instead on the kind of law it would ultimately be -- whether, for example, retailers would be liable for selling glue to minors, even though model airplanes and other kits and toys required such items. Or whether the ingredients in model airplane glue could be classed as schedule one narcotics. Such questions ultimately framed a debate about the fundamental nature of the offense being committed. Ultimately, （unlike other Deep South states） Louisiana decided that sniffing glue was not a drug crime. Instead, it was a problem that affected ＂the health and morals of minors＂.

Legal Status of Biobanks in the Contexts of Privacy Perception of Islamic Law

Development of Biotechnology has brought a feasibility of the scientific analysis on this biological data and the processing of personal data content within human biological materials. In this sense, it has been recognized as the main principle to protect the privacy of biological data belonging to individual since it can determine genetic makeup of an individual processing of personal data in the biological materials of human origin. Speaking of this context, Islam accepts human as the most dignified creation. This dignity given to human makes biological materials of human origin and human private. Privacy brings immunity. The responsibility to protect the human body has been given to mankind in order not to lose this dignity. This responsibility is not bounded by human＇s own body. It must protect the body privacy of next generation which is the heir of genetic heritage. This study will focus on the reflection of the privacy perception of the Islamic law towards body on the legality of human biological materials usage for research purposes.

Atrial fibrillation in the elderly

This review discusses atrial fibrillation according to the guidelines of Brazilian Society of Cardiac Arrhythmias and the Brazilian Cardiogeriatrics Guidelines. We stress the thromboembolic burden of atrial fibrillation and discuss how to prevent it as well as the best way to conduct cases of atrial fibrillatios in the elderly, reverting the arrhythmia to sinus rhythm, or the option of heart rate control. The new methods to treat atrial fibrillation, such as radiofrequency ablation, new oral direct thrombin inhibitors and Xa factor inhibitors, as well as new antiarrhythmic drugs, are depicted.

Right Ventricular Perforation after Pacemaker Implantation in an Elderly Woman： A Case Report

Background： Cardiac pacing is a proven and effective treatment used worldwide with a low incidence of complications depending on the patient group. Late lead perforation is a rare complication without a standard treatment. Case summary： We report a case of a 98-year old woman submitted to pacemaker implantation due to symptomatic second-degree atrio-ventricular block. After two days she returned to the hospital with thoracic pain and was diagnosed with RV （right ventricular） lead perforation. She was submitted to cardiac surgery with lead extraction and RV repair. Discussion： There are two major types of complications after pacemaker implantation, mechanical and infection. Reported perforation rates after pacemaker implantation range from 0.1%-0.8%. While acute lead perforation is very well described, late lead perforation is only described in case reports with a low rate of tamponade or death. Management of subacute or delayed RV lead perforation is not well defined due to very limited data. Question remains on whether to extract the lead or not.

Route and Rethink of China＇s Directly Applicable Law

Directly Applicable Law is an important achievement theory of private international law in the late nineteen fifties, widely used by states. The people＇ s Republic of China foreign civil legal relationship applicable law established the frame of our country＇ s Directly Applicable Law in the legislative level. In practice, there exists some shortcomings in the use of the rules and theory of Directly Applicable Law. In this paper, the author defines the rules from the micro level to order picture from macro level as the starting point, discussed the perfect approach of Directly Applicable Law from the dimension of the interpretation, system, evolution route ,and rethought our current legislative situation.
