It offers explanations on the similarities and differences among these two groups of migrants. Investigation of historical, sociological, and anthropological sources along with interviews among both populations provides abundant data bearing on the investigation. The successful completion of the research reported in this article has major bearing on the issue of migration itself, theories in history, sociology, and anthropology, and even on social psychological understanding of how choices are made and identity is formulated.展开更多

Music, broadly speaking, I think it should be the extension of culture, is a crystalline form of the essence which the culture conceived. This article discusses the musical and cultural ties, the characteristics of Chinese and Western musical culture, contacts the cultural background of Chinese and Western music culture, making more in-depth understanding.展开更多

They interact and have an impact on each other's actions following by tax compliance or tax non-compliance. However, no wider study encompassing both tax payers and tax administrators has been conducted in Lithuania. Since a survey of all participants in the tax system would require substantial time, human, and financial resources, during the first study, only one group, tax payers, was surveyed. During the second study, tax administrators were surveyed along with the tax payers. The present study has the following objectives: to describe the problem of tax evasion in the context of attitudes and behaviours of participants in the tax system; to estimate the tax compliance and evasion situation in Lithuania on the basis of attitudes and behaviours of tax payers; to establish how tax administrators estimate the tax compliance (evasion) situation in Lithuania; to assess the relationship between tax administrators and tax payers; to determine similarities and differences of their attitudes; to assess the key aspects of tax evasion; and to identify measures for the solution of this problem.展开更多

We investigated vulnerability of common avian prey species to predation by the sparrowhawk Accipiter nisus and the goshawk A. gentilis in relation to an index of genetic similarity among adults of potential prey species. We estimated a prey vulnerability in- dex that reflects the abundance of prey relative to the expected abundance according to local population density, and related this index to band sharing coefficients based on analyses of minisatellites for adults in local breeding populations. The prey vulnera- bility index was positively correlated with the band sharing coefficient in both predators, even when controlling for potentially confounding variables. These findings indicate that prey species with high band sharing coefficients, and hence low levels of genetic variation, are more readily caught by avian predators. Therefore, predation may constitute a major cost of low levels of genetic variation in extant populations of prey [Current Zoology 61(1): 1-9, 2015].展开更多

Essentially, we study solutions which arise from a nonlinear inhomogeneous ordinary differential equation which is obtained by an exact similarity transform for the ttunter-Saxton equation. For each type of solution, we are able to obtain some simple exact solutions in closed-form, and more complicated solutions through an analytical approach. We find that there is a whole family of self-similar solutions, each of which depends on an arbitrary parameter. This parameteressentially controls the manner of self-similarity and can be chosen so that the self-similar solutions agree with given initial data. The simpler solutions found constitute exact soIutions to a nonlinear partial differential equation, and hence are also useful in a mathematical sense. Analytical solutions demonstrate the variety of behaviors possible within the wider family of similarity solutions. Both types of solutions cast light on self-similar phenomenon arising in the Hunter-Saxton equation.展开更多
