The proposed BMS can be applied in li-ion battery packs with any cell number. The whole system is composed of a master processor and a string of slave manager cells (SMCs). Each battery cell corresponds to an SMC. Unlike the conventional BMS, the proposed one has a novel method for communication, and it collects the battery status information in a direct and simple way. An SMC communicates with its adjacent counterparts to transfer the battery information as well as the commands from the master processor. The nethermost SMC communicates with the master processor directly. This method allows the battery management chips to be implemented in a standard CMOS ( complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor transistor) process. A testing chip is fabricated in the CSMC 0.5 μm 5 V N-well CMOS process. The testing results verify that the proposed method for data communication and the battery management system can protect and manage multi-cell li-ion battery packs.展开更多

A current feedback loop for output voltage adjustment is proposed for low signal distortion. Moreover,a special startup control logic is designed to improve startup timing and to speed up the initial current sharing. It was completed in 1.5μm bipolar-CMOS-DMOS (BCD) technology with an area of 3.6mm^2 . Using it,a paralleled power system of two DC/DC converters capable of outputting 12V/3A was built. Experimental results show that the current sharing error at full load is kept within 1%.展开更多

The performance of such algorithms has become a critical challenge in emerging software-defined networks(SDN),since SDN controllers need to centralizedly perform a shortest-path query for every flow, usually on large-scale network. Unfortunately, one of the challenges is that current algorithms will become incalculable as the network size increases. Therefore, inspired by the compression graph in the field of compute visualization,we propose an efficient shortest path algorithm by compressing the original big network graph into a small one, but the important graph properties used to calculate path is reserved. We implement a centralized version of our approach in SDN-enabled network, and the evaluations validate the improvement compared with the well-known algorithms.展开更多

This paper presents employer branding as an approach based on effective strategic organizational resources and a precise employer branding management process. In this paper, the target is to define a possible frame in order to interpret employer branding techniques as control and regulation mechanisms. Control in organizations has long been a topic of interest for researchers and practitioners, alike who generally recognize that control mechanisms are needed to ensure that organizations may achieve their goals. It has been carried out a field work on the Italian Aeronautical Meta district, that generates annual revenues equal to EUR 8.7 billion and employees 36,300 people, of whom approximately 10% are employed in the space sector. Through this field work, the intention aim is to understand if and how employer branding may create, enforce, and set up internal and shared meaning and values. In particular, stemming from the empirical research's evidences, this paper tries to conceptualize employer branding as a factor to persuade and influence the way that organizational actors enact in a socially constructed context. In this effort, the aim is to understand how managers may affect meanings, values goals, and opinions through an effective action on employer branding that can play a crucial role in affecting sense-making processes, meanings, interpretations of the symbolic environment. The paper therefore opens up to new horizons, since it embraces a new application for employer branding, considering it as a modern control system and proposing an innovative approach in managerial control, founded on organizational identity as a key concept in an organizational citizenship's perspective展开更多
