Second, the modernism of socialism with Chinese feature is the process of Chinese modernism. Third, the third theoretical dimension, 1 believe, is the ideal of socialism. I would like to take the film "Lost" and "Peking Monk" as examples and analyze the specific form of expression. This article is going to indicate in the end that "the revolution of aesthetics" and the assignments of critics, which can be recognized as the intuitive ability, could merge the historical affair and the human nature, which literature comprise, together and deliver deeper analyses and appraise The mission of critics is not only to distinctly emerge the aesthetic form of the literal works, but also analyze and seize the "aesthetic form" of them, that is to say, their mission is to find the aesthetic meanings of aesthetic expression from commonage in order to achieve the goal of leading and stimulating people ensuing the consciousness and liberation of culture. That is the most important mission and responsibility of Marxist literal criticism and literal critics. This is a rather tough task and refers to the new understanding and attitude to the relative questions of literature and culture. In the eyes of some self-complacent intellectuals, the responsibility for literature and critics is the "aesthetic entertainment" and "spiritual redemption". The significance of Marxist Aesthetics lies in that it upgrades the general "literal principle" and "aesthetic principle" in to a level of social development and national deliverance, and also it regards whether the literature having the function of cultural libration as the more pivotal content. The assignment for the critics and litterateurs is to engage and promote the production and promulgate for this significance, the cultural consciousness and liberation.展开更多

Historical documentary records of climate are suitable for calibration on dating and the climatic implication of the proxy data in a climatological sense. A test calibration on correcting the Delingha tree ring precipitation series using Chinese historical documentary records shows that among the 44 extreme dry cases in 1401 1950 AD, 42 cases (or 95.5%) are believable. Thus the long series of Delingha rings-denoted precipitation is highly reliable. Another test to validate the monsoon intensity proxy data based on the Zhanjiang Huguangyan sediments using historical records indicates that the years of Lake Maar Ti content series-designated winter monsoon intensities are entirely opposite to historical documents- depicted years of harsh winters in 800-900 AD. As a result, serious doubt is raised about the climatic implication of this paleo-monsoon proxy series.展开更多

The results show that the concentrations of elements are closely related to the relative proportions of carbonates and terrigenous detritus (varying from 2/3 to 1/9 based on petrographic study). The ratios between some immobile elements (e.g. La,Th,Zr and Sc) are constant and then can be used as tracers for the discrimination of provenance and tectonic setting of terrigenous detritus. The results indicate that the terrigenous detritus mainly came from the felsic volcanics related to continental arc, with minor contribution from the old basement. Combined with recent research progresses, these mixosedimentites imply that the Neoproterozoic sedimentation in northern Anhui was probably taken place in a back arc basin during the convergence of Rodinia super continent between 1.0 and 0.8 Ga.展开更多

Yet its ending has been held as unconvincing ever since its publication. Taking the overall structure, tone, and the theme of the novel into consideration, this paper aims to prove the credibility of this controversial part. It consists of five sections apart from an introduction and a conclusion. Section One provides general information on the life and works of Joseph Heller. Section Two traces the impact of existentialism and the generation of black humor to clarify the literary position of Catch-22. Section Three brings out the disputative opinions on the ending part. Sections Four and Five, try to prove Yossarian's final desertion a natural and convincing ending from different perspectives: Section Four analyses how Yossarian gains an entropic vision of the cosmos; section Five studies his existential vision of physical life and searches for the immediate factors that propel Yossarian's desertion. Section five also explains the ending's change in tone and structure. The conclusion summarizes the paper and points out the social significance of the novel.展开更多

Notably he had introduced the unique concept of "emptiness" (gnyata) to explain the Middle Path philosophy: the philosophical meaning of "emptiness" is dependent co-arising of various elements that support the worldly experience. This study investigates how this concept is used in explaining the subjectivity of a human person and how it is used for interpreting the unique process of human existence. The discussions on subjectivity are imprecise in modern and contemporary philosophy. But Ngrjuna's philosophy enables us to explain subjectivity conclusively, without it having to be explained using metaphysical positions. Sunyata may introduce a new definition for the concept of non-self: not for negating the self but for caring self from the problems of life by making it centered in the Middle Path (madhyama-pratipat), where one may naturally be able to use his wisdom (prajh) as the guiding principle: not mere knowledge (na). Sanyat is understood using fourfold (catus.kot.i) logical analysis, not twofold analysis employed normally by other philosophers. Here, the Buddhist notion of self as the co-dependent evolution process of five aggregates (pahcaskandhas) is reinterpreted using the unique method of tetralemma (catus.kot. i). This critique explores the Western philosophy's conceptions on "human reasoning, "logocentrism," and the objective analytical method of modern science." After careful cross examination of the rival philosophical positions, it reasons out why the "rationale of nature" is always superior to "human reasoning" and "logocentrism,"展开更多

The mechanism that introduces these zircons incorporated into the NCC is likely by tectonic underplating during the Triassic continental subduction of the Yangtze block beneath the NCC. Tectonic addition of abundant crustal materials represented by the heterogenous zircons into the NCC, probably along Moho or weak interfaces within the NCC's crust, led to the crustal thickening in the NCC. These heterogenous materials, either as (partial) source rocks or as contaminants of the magmas generated during an extension environment following the crustal thickening, were reworked and therefore have significant contribution to petrogenesis of the Mesozoic igneous rocks. The crustal thickening resulted from the tectonic underplating, as indicated by the distribution extent of the heterogenous zircons, is spatially similar to that of the lithospheric thinning, with both mainly occurring in the eastern segment of the NCC. This is probably suggestive of an intrinsic relation between the thickening and thinning events during the Mesozoic evolution of the NCC.展开更多

In the specific field of English literature, the genre of the fantastic is undoubtedly a common presence. In Fantasy: The Literature of Subversion, Jackson (1981) noted the re-emergence of the fantastic as a transgressive force at moments of cultural stress and repression. Waugh (1995) held a similar view in The Harvest of the Sixties. At the end of the 20th century, in its postmodernist shape, fantastic literature becomes one of the favourite genres of a number of feminist writers, and among them, Jeanette Winterson transforms it into a truly transgressive genre. This paper examines Winterson's The Passion (1996) and Sexing the Cherry (1990) in the light of Jackson's theory of the fantastic, as a narrative that establishes an oppositional dialogic relationship with the "real", to interrogate it and collapse the traditional distinction between the normative and the "other". In The Passion, the real is signified by the dominant ideological discourse, exemplified by Napoleon; the fantastic by Villanelle's webbed feet and her ability to walk on water. In Sexing the Cherry, the real is represented by the Puritans with their bigoted and hypocritical morality; the fantastic by the huge Dog-Woman and her foundling son, Jordan. Besides, in both novels, the female body is metamorphosed to challenge the view of a "normal", acceptable femininity; what emerges is a monstrous and sublime body that collapses distinctions between gender boundaries. In Sexing the Cherry (1990), Winterson created the grotesque, gigantic body of the Dog-Woman, a figure of Kristevan "abjection". In The Passion (1996), she gave life to the hybrid body of Villanelle, an oxymoronic combination of the terrible beautiful. The conclusion of the paper argues that Winterson deploys the fantastic to deconstruct the gendered subject of the dominant signifying order and create a dislocated world outside commercial culture, where new voices can be heard, speaking for unheard, neglected groups, particularly women.展开更多

With the expansion of post modern design "humanization" design idea in various design fields, whether in architectural design, industrial design, graphic design or costume design, designers pay a hitherto unknown attention to the emotional understanding and humanized expression of the design content. When the Chinese designers and consumers almost have no clear concept of " post modernism ideology" , the rookies in the design competition have already used the post modem design techniques very skillfully, and ordinary people have already worn the costumes of post modernism style to swagger through the streets.展开更多

The forest motif can be found in the works of St. Augustine as well as in Dante's Divina Commedia (ca. 1308-1321), and then in a plethora of other texts. Here the author examines more closely the symbolic meaning of the forest as a mysterious, dangerous, yet also spiritual location in Wolfram von Eschenbach's Titurel (ca. 1220) and then in two 15th-century prose novels: Thtiring von Ringoltingen's Melusine (1456) and the anonymous Fortunatus (1509). Each time we recognize how much the poets placed their central figures one in the forest where their life takes a major turn. Recognizing this intriguing function of the forest as a metaphor and symbol, we can employ the modern interest in and fascination with the forest as a refuge from the destruction of the natural environment through modem civilization as segue to attract students to the study of medieval literature once again.展开更多

The granulites are granoblastic and weakly gneissic with mineral assemblage of hypersthene, diopside, plagioclase and minor biotite, amphibole and ilmenite. Some samples contain the intergrowth composed of labradorite and vermicular hypersthene, and some coarse-grained plagioclases of andesine and labradorite composition occasionally develop bytownite rims with vermicular hypersthene, indicating a possible presence of garnet. Presence of blastogabbroic texture and hypersthene with diopside exsolution lamellae in some samples suggests that the protolith of the granulite is norite or gabbro. On the basis of metamorphic research and thermobaric calculation, the evolution of the granulite xenoliths is summarized into the following stages: (1) Isobaric cooling of underplated noritic or gabbroic magma in the lower crust led to the formation of probable garnet-bearing medium-high pressure granulite. (2) These higher pressure granulites were adiabatically uplifted to upper crust by dioritic magma and transformed to low pressure two-pyroxene granulite during an isothermal decompression. (3) The two-pyroxene granulite underwent retrograde metamorphism of different degrees during an isobaric cooling process as a result of crystallization and cooling of the dioritic magma. The pyroxenite-dominated cumulates and the medium-high pressure granulites may have rejuvenated the lower crust during the early Mesozoic.展开更多

In situ zircon U-Pb LA-ICP-MS dating on rhyolite magmatic zircons yielded an age of 2481±14 Ma, interpreted as the eruption age of the Bulunkuoler Group volcanic rocks. The basalt and basaltic andesite are low-A1 tholeiite series and the rhyolite is low-Al calc-alkaline series. All of rocks are charac- terized by enrichment of LREE and LILE (Rb, Th and Ba), depletion of P, Nb, Ta and Ti, and absence of Eu anomalies. The Cnd(t) of basalts ranges from 3.14 to 4.88 indicating a depleted mantle source. The trace element signatures show that these magmas experienced intense crustal contamination during their ascent. Direct evidence for crustal contamination is the xenocrystic zircons in the ryholite, with ages back to ca. 3300 Ma. The primitive-mantle normalized and Zr/Y-Zr diagrams for the basic volcanic rocks show that they formed in an intra-continental tectonic setting. Combined with the previous studies and compared with North China Craton Neoarchean basic volcanic rocks, it is supposed that the Bulunkuoler Group volcanic rocks reflect the Palaeoproterozoic mantle magma underplating and interaction with felsic crust.展开更多

文摘With the unprecedented expansion of human knowledge, the wide application of computer and database and the rapid development of science and technology, post modernism ideology has swept the world with hitherto unknown speed, which has a profound influence on the arts and design field in China. With the expansion of post modern design "humanization" design idea in various design fields, whether in architectural design, industrial design, graphic design or costume design, designers pay a hitherto unknown attention to the emotional understanding and humanized expression of the design content. When the Chinese designers and consumers almost have no clear concept of " post modernism ideology" , the rookies in the design competition have already used the post modem design techniques very skillfully, and ordinary people have already worn the costumes of post modernism style to swagger through the streets.
文摘This paper demonstrates how much the forest was used by medieval writers as a symbolic space where critical events take place deeply affecting their protagonists. Recognizing this intriguing function of the forest as a metaphor and symbol, we can employ the modern interest in and fascination with the forest as a refuge from the destruction of the natural environment through modem civilization as segue to attract students to the study of medieval literature once again.

文摘The Yangtze continental nucleus in South China is situated in the Huangling-Shennongjia area in western Hubei Province. It comprises the early Precambrian crystalline basement and generally successive Proterozoic to Phanerozoic sedimentary covers. This paper reports a comprehensive Nd isotope study of fine-grained sedimentary rocks from the regional Mesoproterozoic to early Paleozoic strata. The Nd model ages display a V-shaped variation from ~2.5-2.8 Ga during the late Mesoproterozoic through ~1.5-1.7 Ga during the Neoproterozoic Nanhua Period to ~1.8-2.1 Ga during the Paleozoic Ordovician, with corresponding Nd (t) ranges of 11 to 14,1.1 to 5.3,and 7.9 to 9.9,respectively.This evolutionary trend broadly resembles those documented in the sedimentary strata along the southeastern margin of the Yangtze Craton and within the Jiangnan orogenic belt, indicating that the whole South China block underwent a mantle-input related tectono-magmatic event at ~0.8 Ga or earlier. However, the Huangling-Shennongjia area is discriminated from the other two regions by highly variable model ages (~1.5-2.7 Ga) and Nd (t) values (1.38-12.0) of the early Mesoproterozoic strata.Combined with the Archean model ages of the late Mesoproterozoic strata,it is suggested that the Mesoproterozoic sedimentary provenance of the Yangtze continental nucleus was distinct from that of the southeastern Yangtze Craton, likely indicative of an intervening aulacogen (or rift zone) or oceanic basin. In addition, the high comparability in Neoproterozoic to Paleozoic Nd isotope stratigraphy between the Yangtze Craton and the Jiangnan orogenic belt infers that the whole South China block had shared the same sedimentary basin and provenance since the Yangtze-Cathaysia welding at ~0.9 Ga.Thus,it is proposed that the Yangtze Craton had comprised a collage of micro-continents during the pre-Neoproterozoic until the Rodinia assemblage when the primitive South China block was formed.

文摘Granulite xenoliths are found in the early Mesozoic diorite intrusions from Chifeng and Ningcheng areas, eastern Inner Mongolia. The pyroxenite-dominated cumulates and the medium-high pressure granulites may have rejuvenated the lower crust during the early Mesozoic.

文摘In the Dabudaer region of the Tianshuihai Massif (Xinjiang, Northwest China), metavolcanic rocks within the mainly meta- sedimentary Bulunkuoler Group are basalt, basaltic andesite, and rhyolite. Combined with the previous studies and compared with North China Craton Neoarchean basic volcanic rocks, it is supposed that the Bulunkuoler Group volcanic rocks reflect the Palaeoproterozoic mantle magma underplating and interaction with felsic crust.
