Public tr...It is considered as an important and effective means to give priority to the development of public transit which can improve the efficiency of transportation resources utilization and alleviate traffic jams. Public transit signal priority belongs to the "time priority" among the right-of-way priorities. After reviewing the existing bus priority signal control strategies and the advances in related technologies at home and abroad, this article analyzed the breakthrough direction of the bus signal priority design technologies suitable for China's conditions, and then proposed the hardware and software systems and the modules for the bus priority signal control system. Finally, the hardware-in-the-loop simulation (HILS) was introduced to evaluate bus priority signal control programs in order to optimize the control strategies.展开更多
This paper provides an OpenMP-based parallel Very Dishonest Newton(VDHN) algorithm with variable step size,running transient stability simulations(TSA) on multi-core computers.Under the framework of simultaneous solut...This paper provides an OpenMP-based parallel Very Dishonest Newton(VDHN) algorithm with variable step size,running transient stability simulations(TSA) on multi-core computers.Under the framework of simultaneous solution method of TSA,the step-size control strategy is used according to the local truncation error theory firstly.Then,computation of the generation units,which is the most time-consuming part of the simulation,is dynamically dispatched to several cores using an α dynamic scheduling scheme to obtain workload balancing based on OpenMP.Due to the convergence of Newton-type iterations,an adaptive Jacobian update control strategy is applied to reduce the sequential part of the simulation and the overhead generated by OpenMP.Several large scale test cases verify the validity and practicability of the proposed parallel algorithm,showing that the proposed approach achieves high speed-up and a considerable reduction in parallel overheads.展开更多

The overall structure of the HDG system is given, dynamic models for the solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) power plant, battery bank and its power electronic interfacing are briefly described, and controller design methodologies for the power conditioning units and fuel cell to control the power flow from the hybrid power plant to the utility grid are presented. To distribute the power between the fuel cell power plant and the battery energy storage, a neuro-fuzzy controller has been developed. Also, for controlling the active and reactive power independently in distribution systems, the current control strategy based on two fuzzy logic controllers has been presented. A Matlab/Simulink simulation model is developed for the HDG system by combining the individual component models and their controllers. Simulation results show the overall system performance including load-following and power management of the HDG system.展开更多
This paper aims to present a simulation model for heterogeneous high-speed train traffic flow based on an improved discrete-time model(IDTM).In the proposed simulation model,four train control strategies,including d...This paper aims to present a simulation model for heterogeneous high-speed train traffic flow based on an improved discrete-time model(IDTM).In the proposed simulation model,four train control strategies,including departing strategy,traveling strategy,braking strategy,overtaking strategy,are well defined to optimize train movements.Based on the proposed simulation model,some characteristics of train traffic flow are investigated.Numerical results indicate that the departure time intervals,the station dwell time,the section length,and the ratio of fast trains have different influence on traffic capacity and train average velocity.The results can provide some theoretical support for the strategy making of railway departments.展开更多
