One oxidation peak at -0.14 V could be attributed to the reaction of Si to Si4+. A cathodic peak occurred at -0.56 V in the cyclic voltammogram and one response semicircle in the ac impedance spectrum was observed, supporting a one-step electrochemical reduction process of Si4+-→Si. The electrochemical reaction of silicon was controlled by the diffusion process. The purity of electrorefined silicon wires was up to 99.999% by ICP-MS analysis.展开更多

Reverse-time migration is considered to be one of highly accurate methods. In this paper, we propose a new non-reflecting recursive algorithm for reverse-time migration by introducing the wave impedance function into the acoustic wave equation and the algorithm for the surface relief case is derived from the coordinate transformation principle. Using the exploding reflector principle and the zero-time imaging condition of poststack reverse- time migration, poststack numerical simulation and reverse-time migration with complex conditions can be realized. The results of synthetic and real data calculations show that the method effectively suppresses unwanted internal reflections and also deals with the seismic imaging problems resulting from surface relief. So, we prove that this method has strong adaptability and practicality.展开更多

The electrochemical behavior of the coatings was studied by means of zeta potential analysis, voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS). It was found that the zeta potential of Al particles was-4 m V which is very close to that of Al2O3. Moreover, addition of conductive Al particles into the electrolyte shifted the polarization curve to more negative potentials and loop size of EIS curve increased. It was also demonstrated that the co-deposition behavior of Ni-Al composite coatings obeys the Guglielmi’s model. The results indicate that conductive Al particles behave as the inert particles and confirm the existence of a thin aluminum oxide layer on the surface of aluminum particles.展开更多

METHODS: Acute toxicity test was performed in Kunming strain mice that were orally given bicyclol at the doses of 3 and 5 g/kg body weight, respectively. Wistar rats were orally administered bicyclol at a dose of 5 g/kg body weight. Death and clinical symptoms of animals were recorded within 7 d. Sub-acute toxicity test was carried out in rats that were treated with various doses of bicyclol (150, 300, 600 mg/kg) once daily for 14 d. Animal behaviors, blood biochemical markers, blood and urine pictures were examined. Chronic toxicity test was conducted in 80 Wistar rats of both sexes. The animals were orally administered with various doses of bicyclol [150, 300, 600 mg/kg, 100-400 folds corresponding to the proposed therapeutic dose (1.5 mg/(kg·d)) of bicyclol for patients] once daily for 6 mo except for Sunday. The control group was given the same volume of 0.2% sodium carboxyl methylcellulose (Na-CMC). Twenty-one beagle dogs received bicyclol (25, 75, 225 mg/kg, 16.6, 50, 150 folds corresponding to the proposed therapeutic dose of bicyclol for patients) once a day for 6 mo except for Sunday. The body weight, food intake, urine and feces, blood picture, blood biochemical markers, and pathological examination of main organs were determined. Mutagenicity and teratogenicity were determined. Mutagenicity assay included Ames's test, chromosome aberration test in CHL cells and micronucleus test in mice. For the teratogenicity assay, pregnant Wistar rats weighing 200-250 g were treated with 0.2,1.0 g/kg bicyclol once daily from the 7th d of gestation for 10 d. RESULTS: The oral LD50 of bicyclol was over 5 g/kg in mice and rats. No noticeable alterations in subacute and chronic toxicity of rats and dogs were demonstrated. No mutagenicity and teratogenicity of bicyclol were found. CONCLUSION: Bicyclol has no detectable chronic toxicity as well as mutagenicity and teratogenicity in animals.展开更多

Their performance as electrocata‐lysts for the oxidation of methanol and ethanol in alkaline medium was investigated and compared with that of carbon coated pure Ni (Ni/C). The chemical composition, phase structure, and surface morphology of the deposited nano‐composites were studied by energy dispersive X‐ray spectros‐copy, X‐ray diffractometry, and scanning electron microscopy, respectively. Different electrochemi‐cal techniques were used to estimate the catalytic activity of the prepared electrocatalyst anodes, including cyclic voltammetry (CV), chronoamperometry, and electrochemical impedance spectros‐copy (EIS). The Ni/C electrocatalyst alone exhibited remarkably low catalytic activity and poor stability toward the electrooxidation process. The inclusion of MgO significantly promoted the cata‐lytic activity of the Ni catalyst for the alcohol electrooxidation and enhanced its poisoning re‐sistance. The EIS results confirmed those of CV and revealed a lower charge transfer resistance and enhanced roughness for the Ni–MgO/C nano‐composite electrodes compared with those of Ni/C.展开更多

The present paper studied cathodic reduction of dissolved oxygen on Q235 carbon steel in 3.5% sodium chloride (NaCl) solutions by cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), rotating disk electrode (RDE) and rotating ring-disk electrode (RRDE). The cyclic voltammetric results demonstrated the cathodic process on Q235 carbon steel in O2-saturated 3.5% NaCl solution contains three reactions: dissolved oxygen reduction, iron oxides reduction and hydrogen evolution. The peak potential of oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) is - 0.85 V vs Ag/AgCl, 3 molL^-1 KCI. The EIS results indicated that the ORR occurring on Q235 carbon steel is a 4-electron process and that no finite diffusion is caused by the intermediate of H2O2 produced by ORR. The RDE and RRDE voltammograms confirmed the EIS results and it was found that the number of transferred electrons for ORR was nearly 4, i.e., dissolved oxygen reduced to water.展开更多
