[Method] Using P. hir- sutissimum leaf as the material, a single-factor test was adopted to optimize the fac- tors in SRAP-PCR system, including the concentrations of dNTPs, Mg2+, Taq poly- merase, DNA template and primers. [Result] The optimized SRAP-PCR system con- tained 2.5 μl of 10xPCR buffer, 0.15 mmol/L dNTPs, 2.0 mmol/L Mg2+, 0.3 mmol/L primer each, 0.3 U Taq polymerase and 1 μl of DNA template. [Conclusion] This system can amplify clear and repeatable DNA profiles, which can be applied for further study about P. hirsutissimum.展开更多

In this paper we explore the improved M function of geographic concentration that adds the parameter of the number of firms according to the definition of geographic concentration of industries. The spatial distribution of the main manufacturing industries of Lanzhou urban area is evaluated based on it. The results of the evaluation imply that the spatial distribution of the main manufacturing industries is more concentrated than that of others in Lanzhou and it can absorb lots of labor forces. But the incidence, competition ability and density of the distribution of enterprises are different for each single sector, and enterprises with different production features are located closely. And three main problems are discovered. Finally, three countermeasures are put forward: locating the industrial enterprises in urban areas in a proper way through planning and policies; adjusting the industrial structure of the inner city; strengthening the local rearrangement of the existing industrial concentration areas.展开更多

Br. of differ- ent colors. [Method] Petal pigments of Aida variety (white violet), Francesco variety ( red violet) and Arabella variety ( purple violet) were ana- lyzed by colorimetric reaction method and ultraviolet-visible spectrum method, and the optimum extraction technology of flavonoid compounds from petals of them was determined by single factor experiment and orthogonal experiment. [ Result] The optimum extraction conditions of white violet were as follows: with 95% ethanol + 5% HCI as solvent, solid-liquid ratio ( 1 : 40), extraction time (3 h), extraction temperature (65 ℃ ). The opti- mum extraction conditions of red violet and purple violet were as follows: with acetone as solvent, solid-liquid ratio (1:40), extraction time (3 h), extraction temperature (65 ℃). [ Conclusion] The study provided theoretical foundation for further development and exploitation of pigments from M. incana( L. ) R. Br.展开更多

A framework of a six-stage sourcing process is developed that includes finding and choosing suppliers, making contracts and orders, performing production and quality control, planning logistics, inspecting purchases, and developing supply chain management. Each stage describes the activities from the channels of seeking suppliers to cooperative areas for further development. The case study illustrates the practices of sourcing from China are actually quite similar to the sourcing process in other countries. The study highlights that quality control is the core issue in sourcing from China. Moreover, the difference in understanding sustainable quality affects supplier screening and quality control. Close cooperation on quality control is the key to managing the supply chain to increase competitive advantage through sourcing from China.展开更多

Among the methods for measuring the discharge through the turbine used in such tests, particular attention was paid to index methods allowing to measure the relative discharge through the turbine-the index current meter method and the methods based on measuring the differential pressure between two points properly located at the turbine flow system (i.e., Winter-Kennedy method). These methods contribute to effective reduction of the cost of optimizing the turbine that is extremely important for small hydropower plants regarding installed capacity. The paper presents selected examples of the optimization tests and experiences that arise from these tests.展开更多
