The overall influential power of China development on international community was misunderstood. What we see is the role of ＂China Factor＂ in different fields. In the process of economic globalization, what economic system of capitalist market has seen is ＂China＇s cheap labor＂, ＂China＇s loose economic system environment＂, ＂earlier abuse of unlimited resource environment＂, ＂China＇s broad consumption market＂ and ＂demographic dividend＂. In global or Asian financial crisis, what other countries valued was China＇s ＂foreign currency＂ accumulated over the years. In global gov- ernance or crisis management, what international community expected was ＂China＇s obligations and responsibilities＂ without the right of speech, etc.. All these are the ＂passive＂ roles produced by ＂a single factor＂ in definite fields. The active and initiative role China will play in international community still needs time and the continuous efforts of several generations. China once was a big country that had significant inftuential power on the world, and China＇s renaissance is a normal process of development of things. Chinese Communist Party has been striving to improve its government ability over the past decades. Mass mobilization and political movement were widely used to monitor local agents as well as implement policy in Maoist era. But mobilization and political movement were inappropriate under market circumstance which demands social order, regulation and law. In order to enhance the ability to enforce policy effectively, the Party sets up cadre responsibility system consisting of targets management, responsibility contract and competitions between cadres at the same administrative hierarchical level. Through cadre responsibility system, the Party-state enhances its government ability and it also leads to selective implementation.展开更多
Global population growth and urbanization have posed increasing threats to the ecological environment. In an aging society, high-density living spaces have resulted in intensifying housing concerns for urban senior ci...Global population growth and urbanization have posed increasing threats to the ecological environment. In an aging society, high-density living spaces have resulted in intensifying housing concerns for urban senior citizens. Among the rapid urban development, addressing the demands of senior citizens for suitable living environments and enabling senior city dwellers to engage in diversified social interactions are concerns that necessitate public attention. This study introduced the idea of the “vertical farm” to the living environments of senior citizens. By integrating vegetation appreciation and physical labor, vertical farming allows senior citizens to experience joy and a sense of accomplishment. In addition, these farms can change the monotonous and gloomy exteriors of concrete buildings. By conducting in-depth interviews with 12 senior citizens residing in the Happiness Community in Taipei City, by building vertical farms, senior citizens can experience joy and a sense of achievement at the psychological level and communicate with families, friends and neighbors in the community at a social level. At the environmental level, comprehensive ecological communities can be achieved. We explored how promoting vertical farms in a living environment can affect senior citizens at the psychological, social and environmental levels. The results can be used to build vertical farms that accommodate the needs of senior citizen living environments.展开更多
