This paper aims to maximize energy efficiency(EE) by joint optimizing sensing time and power allocation in multi-channels & multihops DF relay CRSNs under constraints on outage probability and sensing performance. First, we design a channel selection scheme for sensing according to the available probabilities of multi channels. Second, we analyze the expected throughput and energy consumption and formulate the EE problem as a concave/concave fractional program. Third, coordinate ascent and Charnes-Cooper Transformation(CCT) methods are used to transform the nonlinear fractional problem into an equivalent concave problem. Subsequently, the closed form of outage probability is derived and the convergence rate of the iterative algorithm is analyzed. Finally, simulation results show that the proposed scheme can achieve effective EE.展开更多

Allocation of fixe or flow-dependent inter-zone trading capacities by the PX (power exchange) can not be accepted unreservedly. The paper is meant to show that a nodal electricity market design that is based on bids for local energy and a regulated transmission access including allocation of "entry-exit" transmission capacity would be the desired solution. The market players could easily optimize their portfolio while the TSOs (transmission system operators) are requested to mobilize the network's in-built flexibility to increase the cross zonal capacity. In the proposed market design, the PX's allocation of trading capacity is clearly separate from the TSO's management of the power system operational constraint5. Clear operator roles would enlarge access to electricity market as well as market integration of variable RESs (renewable energy sources) that are critically dependent on short notice access to regionat markets,展开更多

First, the dryout point of subcooled flow boiling of water was measured in narrow annular channels under the working condition of pressure ranging from 0.1 to 0.3 MPa and low mass flow rate from 6 to 60 kgm^-2 s^-1. Experimental test channels were annular and heated bilaterally with the channel gap of lmm and 1.5mm, and heated length of 1500mm.The location of the dryout was observed and measured by experiment with investigating the various system parameter effects on dryout point, and the results show that the location of dryout point is basically stable and repeating and the heat transfer coefficient increased with heat flux, mass flux and pressure, however, decreases with the gap size. Next, new correlations of CHF and critical vapor quality for narrow annular channels was proposed and calculation results shown a good agreement with the experimental data.展开更多

With their ability to collect complex information about their surroundings via e-skins, robots could perform more dynamic and variable tasks such as rescue missions or caring for the elderly. In this paper, we present a new concept of utilizing a very simple, highly flexible and stretchable capacitor sensor array, that can be attached on the surface of a retractable robot hand to realize three functions: determining the location, shape, and pressure of an object. This adaptive sensing system is accomplished using capacitors connected by aligned carbon nanotube(CNT) films constructed on an elastomer dielectric material, which can reduce the requirement on the accuracy of the machine vision system. This study has a very broad application in the manufacture of intelligent software robots.展开更多

The model consists of four delay differential equations. Stability of the disease free equilibrium and the existence of an endemic equilibrium for this model are stated in terms of a key threshold parameter. The study of dynamics for the model shows that the endemic equilibrium is globally stable in an open region if it exists and there is no delays, and for some nonzero delays the endemic equilibrium undergoes Hopf bifurcation and a periodic orbit emerges. Some numerical results are provided to support the theoretic results in this paper. These results suggest that prepatent periods in infection affect the prevalence of schistosomiasis, and it is an effective strategy on schistosomiasis control to lengthen in prepatent period on infected definitive hosts by drug treatment (or lengthen in prepatent period on infected intermediate snails by lower water temperature).展开更多
