The design and development of the software and hardware of the proposed system are given. In addition to the basic data acquisition and processing functions, the gateway supports the Bluetooth-based local interface and the general packet radio service (GPRS)-based remote interface. Users on the client service side can use a pocket PC or notebook PC to achieve real-time data acquisition and control instruction implementation, or remotely control the home control system through a mobile phone by sending a short message. The Labview graphical development environment is adopted to create PDA applications running on pocket PCs and monitoring platform established on notebook PCs. Except for the gateway, other nodes in the system work in sleep mode most of the time on the system, and thus it improves the lifetime of the whole system efficiently. 展开更多

The PBJ- 01 adopts behavior-based reactive control architecture in which the key part is an object recognition system based on a fuzzy neural network. A new method was put forward to optimize the position of actuator/sensor of multi-body system with quick startup and brake. Dynamical equation was established for the system with intelligent structure of piezoelectric actuators. According to the property of the modes varying with time, the performance index function was developed based on the optimal configuration principle of energy maximal dissipation, and the relevant optimal model was obtained. According to its characteristic, a float-encoding genetic algorithm, which is efficient, simple and excellent for solving the global-optimal solution of this problem, was adopted. Taking the plane manipulator as an example, the result of numerical calculation shows that, after the actuator/sensor position being optimized, the vibration amplitude of the multi-body system is reduced by 35% compared with that without optimization. 展开更多

Wireless technology is applied increasingly in networked control systems. A new form of wireless network called wireless sensor network can bring control systems some advantages, such as flexibility and feasibility of network deployment at low costs, while it also raises some new challenges. First, the communication resources shared by all the control loops are limited. Second, the wireless and multi-hop character of sensor network makes the resources scheduling more difficult. Thus, how to effectively allocate the limited communication resources for those control loops is an important problem. In this paper, this problem is formulated as an optimal sampling frequency assignment problem, where the objective function is to maximize the utility of control systems, subject to channel capacity constraints. Then an iterative distributed algorithm based on local buffer information is proposed. Finally, the simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively allocate the limited communication resource in a distributed way. It can achieve the optimal quality of the control system and adapt to the network load changes. 展开更多

That's why it is important to detect and locate sensor and actuator faults as soon as possible to enable the operator to run the vehicle in degraded mode or use the fault tolerant control system if it exists. The main purpose of this paper deals with sensors or actuators faults diagnosis of autonomous vehicle. A diagnosis method using a nonlinear model of the vehicle is developed. Nonlinear state space model of the autonomous electric vehicle is used with the method of nonlinear analytical redundancy to detect and to isolate faults occurred on sensors or actuators. A new gas concentration monitoring system for coal mines is developed on the basis of gas-sensing detection and single-chip control. The monitoring system uses the tin oxide as the main material of N-type semiconductor gas sensors, be- cause it has good sensitive characteristics for the flammable and explosive gas ( such as methane, carbon monoxide). The QM-N5-semiconductor gas sensor is adopted to detect the output values of the resistance under the different gas con- centrations. The system, designedly, takes the AT89C51 digital chip as the core of the circuit processing hardware structure to analyze and judge the input values of the resistance, and then achieve the control and alarm for going beyond the limit of gas concentration. The gas concentration monitoring system has man), advantages including simple in struc- ture, fast response time, stable performance and low cost. It needs various actions and expressions because of the nature of a puppet. The biggest problem which executes this is the ways to create a system. This thesis proposes motion capture of developed method with solution of this problem. So, we create various contents needed by puppet. In this part, developed method means a mixed method on the basis of optical system and magnetic system used mainly for the present method of motion capture. We lessen the weak points of each method and propoe solution of create motion for pupct by offering more advantages. The research was conducted to develop a robot that can navigate a paddy in between rows or hills which were transplanted by the machine transplanter with equal distance. An initial prototype robotic battery-type weeder was manufactured and tested to navigate and control weeds in rice paddy fields, but a speed was so slow, and thus second engine-type prototype was developed. A working acreage for weed control has been attained at and up to 0.8 ha/day. Small and young weed seedlings were uprooted and destroyed by passive devices in between rows as well as hills. This robot was smoothly navigated in between rows on behalf of the guidance under camera and sensor systems and control weeds with mechanical by the use of implements such as passive rotary weeders and then weeds would be cut and buried into the soils. Also muddy water was generated during operation which was none penetrated by light for weed germination to occur. The authors concluded that the robotic was an effective alternative implement to control weeds in lowland rice paddy as long as this tool was systematically introduced into the rice fields at three time intervals, viz. 15-20 days, 25-30days, and 35-40 days after transplanting of rice seedlings. 展开更多

This paper demonstrates the assembly of a servo-controlled platform with two degrees of freedom, empirical methods and a developed closed-loop control found in the system mathematical model. This control aims to stabilize and hold small objects on the platform. We parsed the step response in X and Y axes, hence we found the first and second-order models for each one. We did some further analyses to decide which one would better represent the behavior of the system. The MATLAB software provided step response for the model empirically obtained and latter compared it to experimental data acquired in the trials. Accelerometers and gyro sensors from the MPU-6050 sensor measured the angular position of platform on X and Y axes. In order to improve measurements accuracy and eliminate noise effects, we implemented the complementary filter to the firmware system. We used Arduino to control servomotors through PWM pulses and perform data acquisition. 展开更多

It shows the changes in the system dynamics and the appearance of zeroes in the right-plan complex, turning the system a non-minimum phase system. The performance of the PID (proportional-integral-derivative) and LQR (linear quadratic regulator) controller are discussed considering the zero dynamics of the system in three points of special interest: (I) the collocated case, when the sensor is in the base of the link; (2) the critical case, where the system starts to present zeroes in the right-plan complex and (3) the limit case, when the sensors are in the end point of the flexible link. Investigation for a simple rigid-flexible model with one mode, in the three cases, the PID and LQR controller performance are damage. In this technique, neither extr... This paper presents a sliding mode observer for sensorless operation of SRM (switched reluctance motor) drive. Design of such an observer depends mainly on the nonlinear model of SRM. In this technique, neither extra hardware nor huge memory space are not required but it only requires active phase measurements. Furthermore, PI (proportional integral) and adaptive FLPI (fuzzy logic PI) controllers are suggested to operate individually along with the SMO (sliding mode observer) to cover a full speed range of sensorless controller. Both controller schemes operate in PWM (pulse width modulation) control mode. The proposed observer is implemented and tested using a digital signal processor. All results obtained with both simulation and experimental investigations corroborate the superior performance of the adaptive fuzzy logic controller (FLPI) when compared with those of PI controller. 展开更多

Voltage source converter high-voltage direct current (VSC-HVDC) is a new power transmission technology pref- erable in small or medium power transmission. In this paper we discuss a new control system based on space vector modulation (SVM) without any voltage line sensors. Using direct power control (DPC) SVM and a new double synchronous reference frame phase-locked loop (DSRF-PLL) approach, the control system is resistant to the majority of line voltage disturbances. Also, the system response has accelerated by using a feed forward power decoupled loop. The operation of this control strategy was verified in a SIMULINK/MATLAB simulation environment. To validate this control system, a 5 kV.A prototype system was constructed. Compared to the original controllers, the current total harmonic distortion (THD), the active and reactive deviations and the DC voltage overshoot were lowered by 2.5%, 6.2% and 8%, respectively. The rectifier power factor in the worst condition was 0.93 and the DC voltage settling time was 0.2 s. 展开更多

A Faraday rotator mirror is employed at the end of the system, which eliminates the slow polarization variation of signal light and only responses to rapid polarization change caused by external vibration interference. Based on the sensing signal characteristics, the location of polarization disturbance point can be detected accurately. Experiments on polarization controller simulation and actual vibration detection show that a higher localization accuracy better than 1% is successfully obtained in 13.8 kin, 21.2 km and 35.8 km sensing fibers systems. 展开更多
