An investigation was undertaken to clarify the gene co...This study is based on the Tong sheep obtained by the random sampling method of typical colonies in the central area of Baishui County in Shaanxi Province, China. An investigation was undertaken to clarify the gene constitution of blood protein and nonprotein types of Tong sheep. Twelve genetic markers were examined by starch-gel electrophoresis and cellulose acetate electrophoresis. Polymorphism in Tong sheep was found at the following 10 loci, transferrin (Tf), alkaline phosphatase (Alp), leucine aminopeptidase (Lap), arylesterase (Ary-Es), hemoglobin-β (Hb-β), X-protein (X-p), carbonic anhydrase (CA), catalase (Cat), malate dehydrogenase (MDH), and lysine (Ly), whereas, albumin (A1) and postalbumin (Po) loci were monomorphic. Genetic approach degree method and phylogenetic relationship clustering method were used to judge the origin and phylogenetic status of Tong sheep. Results from both methods maintained that Tong sheep belonged to the "Mongolia group", and Mongolia sheep was the origin of Tong sheep. This was also supported by the history of Tong sheep breeding. Compared to the phylogenetic relationship clustering method, the genetic approach degree method was more reliable for the extraction from East and South of Central Asia, and was more effective in reflecting the breeding course of Tong sheep.展开更多

Inthis model, VEGF gene promoter may regulate the expression of the luciferase reporter gene by responding to thestimulation of drug molecules. This cell model allows rapid and efficient screening of vascular-inducing activecomponents from several drug monomer molecules. Furthermore, we used rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(rMSCs) to conduct a preliminary study on the activity of alantolactone. Using simvastatin as a positive control, weinvestigated the effects of alantolactone on the expression of vascular-related cell marker molecules such as VEGF andα-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) in rMSCs. According to our results, 0.1, 1, 3 and 5 μM of alantolactone upregulated thetranscriptional luciferase gene activity of VEGF promoter, and a significant difference from that in the control group wasobserved. Among them, 3μM of alantolactone showed the better effect than that of 3 μM of simvastatin (P = 0.036) andother concentrations of alantolactone and simvastatin showed similar effects. Compared with that in the control group,rMSCs induced with 1μM alantolactone for 3 days showed a significant increase in the relative mRNA expressions ofVEGF and α-SMA genes. However, these effect of 5 μM alantolactone were weaker than those of 5 μM simvastatin (P 〈0.05); rMSCs treated with 1 μM alantolactone for 3 days showed brighter green fluorescence (FITC marker) of α-SMAand VEGF in situ expression than that observed in the control group and similar fluorescence intensity than that ofsimvastatin group in an immunoradiometric assay. The above results demonstrate the reliability of the highly efficientsystem for screening of active drug molecules and confirmed the vascular induction function of alantolactone at the geneand protein levels.展开更多

A time-domain analysis method for transmission lines is also introduced. The two methods are combined together to efficiently analyze high-speed circuit systems having general transmission lines. The paper introduces this technique and provides dimensional equations for the main quantities and physical parameters of the heat transfer and fluid flow fields. We discuss a concep...Since the second half of the 20th century in Italy, following farming conversion or abandonment, many traditional agricultural systems and the connected landscapes along with them have disappeared. We discuss a conceptual framework to understand and describe changing in agricultural landscapes. According to us, the traditionality of the agricultural landscape is an expression of the local coevolution between the social project of the farmer and the constraints made by the natural system. The paper focuses on defining a spatial-temporal analytical model based on both the morphological recognition of different typologies of elements which contribute to the environmental landscape mosaic and the dynamic observation of the transformations of the mosaic itself. We identify the natural, social and economic driving forces involved in defining the agricultural space using a transdisciplinary approach so that ecological, agronomics and socio-economical information must be integrated as a basis for land use planning and management. The research approach and the methodology are applied to a couple of case studies.展开更多

The location node system consists of a mobile node,several fixed nodes,and a sink node,all of whose circuits were designed based on CC2430. A varistor and a RC circuit were used in the reset circuit of a sensor node to guarantee the intrinsic safety by reducing discharge energy,the theoretical analysis of the discharge energy shows that the reset circuit is an intrinsic safety one. The analysis and simulation about the performance of the location node system are discussed,such as network communication delay and packet loss rate,the results show that the highest network communication delay of the system is about 0.11 seconds,and the highest packet loss rate is about 0.13,which assures the location node system has a high reliability,and can locate miners in the underground mine.展开更多

Different from the conventional trial design, the new methodology is self-adaptive to the change in the sample size and overall cure rate, and it has an asymptotic property. It is shown that MCID is de-composite into constant MCID and statistical MCID. Along with this concept, the concept of the allowed inferiority does not exist, the interpretation of the trial result is more accurate and consistent to the statistical theory as well as the clinical interpretations.展开更多

One of the traditional measures of location, the mean should offer typical value of variable, representing all its values by the best way. Sometimes, the mean is located in the tail of the distribution and gives a very biased idea about the location of the distribution. In these cases, using different measures of location could be useful. Trimmed mean is described. The trimmed mean refers to a situation where a certain proportion of the largest and smallest observations are removed and the remaining observations are averaged. The construction of some measures of location is based on the analysis of outliers. Outliers are characterized. Then the possibilities of the detection of outliers are analyzed. Computing of one-step M-estimator and modified one-step M-estimator of location is described. A comparison of the trimmed means and M-estimators of location is presented. Finally, the paper focuses on the application of the trimmed mean and M-estimators of location in analysis of salaries. The analysis of salaries of employers of the big Slovak companies in second half of the year 2009 is realized. The data from the census are used in the analysis. The median, 20% trimmed mean and the characteristics, based on the one-step M-estimator of location and modified one step M-estimator, are calculated.展开更多

Sample...A new record of Sebastes koreanus (Kim and Lee, 1994) was documented based on morphological characters and DNA barcoding. Fifty-six Sebastes specimens were collected from the coastal waters of northern China. Samples were identified as S. koreanus based on morphological characters. The coloration and morphometric measurements were consistent with those described from specimens collected in South Korea. In this study, specimens had the following morphological characteristics: light brown body with dark stripes and tiny dark spots, 4-5 wide indistinct vertical patterns on the side, 2 radial stripes behind and below the eyes, 1 large dark blotch on the opercle. Additionally, the following meristie characters were recorded: dorsal fin XIV-13, pectoral fin 16, anal fin III-6-7, pelvic fin [-5, lateral line scales 29-30, and vertebrae 26. The fragment of cytochrome oxidase subunit I (CO1) gene of mitochondrial DNA was sequenced for phylogenetic analysis. The mean genetic distance within the species was 0.3%. Net genetic distances between S. koreanus and other Sebastes species ranged from 3.1% to 7.6%, which was greater than the threshold for species delimitation. The phylogenetic analysis strongly supports the validity of S. koreanus in China at the genetic level. The origion, evolution, patterns of speciation and unique features in genome divergence among primate lineages of this species still need future directions of research.展开更多

But in a situation when wind turbines are connected to the distribution grid, the power source will change from one source to two sources, in this case, network is said to be active. This may probably have an impact on the distribution grid to whenever the wind turbine is connected. The best way to know the impact of wind turbine on the distribution grid in question is by carrying out load flow analysis on that system with and without the connection of wind turbines. Two major fundamental calculations: the steady-state voltage variation at the PCC (point of common coupling) and the calculation of short-circuit power of the grid system at the POC (point of connection) are necessary before carrying out the load flow study on the distribution grid. This paper, therefore, considers these pre-load flow calculations that are necessary before carrying out load flow study on the test distribution grid. The errors caused by the method with the symmetrical distributed parameter circuit model as the equivalent circuit of the un-transposed ultra high voltage(UHV) transmission line were studied under both normal operation and fault,and the corresponding problems arising were pointed out. By contrast with electromagnetic transient and power electronics(EMTPE) simulation results with the asymmetrical distributed parameter circuit model of un-transposed line, it is shown that the conventional method cannot show the existence of negative and zero sequences before fault happening and there are many errors on voltage and current after fault happening which are different with fault types. The error ranges of voltage and current are 2.13%-81.13% and -7.82%- -86.15%, respectively.展开更多

In order to investigate the relationship between the inorganic elemental...Meretricis concha is a kind of marine traditional Chinese medicine(TCM), and has been commonly used for the treatment of asthma and scald burns. In order to investigate the relationship between the inorganic elemental fingerprint and the geographical origin identification of Meretricis concha, the elemental contents of M. concha from five sampling points in Rushan Bay have been determined by means of inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry(ICP-OES). Based on the contents of 14 inorganic elements(Al, As, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Hg, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, Se, and Zn), the inorganic elemental fingerprint which well reflects the elemental characteristics was constructed. All the data from the five sampling points were discriminated with accuracy through hierarchical cluster analysis(HCA) and principle component analysis(PCA), indicating that a four-factor model which could explain approximately 80% of the detection data was established, and the elements Al, As, Cd, Cu, Ni and Pb could be viewed as the characteristic elements. This investigation suggests that the inorganic elemental fingerprint combined with multivariate statistical analysis is a promising method for verifying the geographical origin of M. concha, and this strategy should be valuable for the authenticity discrimination of some marine TCM.展开更多

However, due to ignorance of network security, normal users usually take simple activities, such as reinstalling computer system, or using the computer recovery system to clear virus. How system recovery influences virus spreading is not taken into consideration currently. In this paper, a new virus propagation model considering the system recovery is proposed first, and then in its steady-state analysis, the virus propagation steady time and steady states are deduced. Experiment results show that models considering system recovery can effectively restrain virus propagation. Furthermore, algorithm with system recovery in BA scale-free network is proposed. Simulation result turns out that target immunization strategy with system recovery works better than traditional ones in BA network.展开更多

In this paper, the problem is examined by analyzing the distribution of server-like nodes' upstream-bandwidth among their concurrent transfers. A sufficient condition for the service rate, what a receiver obtains for downloading a file, to asymptotically be uniform is presented. On the aggregate service rate for transferring a file in a system, a sufficient condition for it to asymptotically follow a Zipf distribution is presented. These asymptotic equalities are both in the mean square sense. These analyses and the sufficient conditions provide a mathematic base for modeling file transfer processes in peer-to-peer file sharing systems.展开更多

The movement structures of sports are mainly the simulation of all kinds of movement of animals, which are particular about static and dynamic equilibrium, firmness, and gentleness, getting refined internally and externally. The feature of Chinese sports is the unification of form and spirit. The pattern of Chinese sports is closely related with Chinese philosophy thought, and the constructed Chinese sports culture has become the essential part of Chinese traditional philosophy. Chinese sports have integrated fitness and aesthetic appreciation into one, which is the specific expression of Chinese traditional thought. However, western sports have integrated with western philosophy thought with strong athletic tint. The characteristic of western sports has a necessary connection with the ancient Greek thought. Ancient Greeks had realized that the relationship between human and the nature was not totally dependent with contrariety, so they thought only fighting with the nature could they survive. Computing of one-step M-estimator and modified one-step M-estimator of location is described. A comparison of the trimmed means and M-estimators of location is presented. Finally, the paper focuses on the application of the trimmed mean and M-estimators of location in analysis of salaries. The analysis of salaries of employers of the big Slovak companies in second half of the year 2009 is realized. The data from the census are used in the analysis. The median, 20% trimmed mean and the characteristics, based on the one-step M-estimator of location and modified one step M-estimator, are calculated.

文摘A new record of Sebastes koreanus (Kim and Lee, 1994) was documented based on morphological characters and DNA barcoding. Fifty-six Sebastes specimens were collected from the coastal waters of northern China. Samples were identified as S. koreanus based on morphological characters. The coloration and morphometric measurements were consistent with those described from specimens collected in South Korea. In this study, specimens had the following morphological characteristics: light brown body with dark stripes and tiny dark spots, 4-5 wide indistinct vertical patterns on the side, 2 radial stripes behind and below the eyes, 1 large dark blotch on the opercle. Additionally, the following meristie characters were recorded: dorsal fin XIV-13, pectoral fin 16, anal fin III-6-7, pelvic fin [-5, lateral line scales 29-30, and vertebrae 26. The fragment of cytochrome oxidase subunit I (CO1) gene of mitochondrial DNA was sequenced for phylogenetic analysis. The mean genetic distance within the species was 0.3%. Net genetic distances between S. koreanus and other Sebastes species ranged from 3.1% to 7.6%, which was greater than the threshold for species delimitation. The phylogenetic analysis strongly supports the validity of S. koreanus in China at the genetic level. The origion, evolution, patterns of speciation and unique features in genome divergence among primate lineages of this species still need future directions of research.
文摘A distribution grid is generally characterized by a high R/X (resistance/reactance) ratio and it is radial in nature. By design, a distribution grid system is not an active network, and it is normally designed in such a way that power flows from transmission system via distribution system to consumers. But in a situation when wind turbines are connected to the distribution grid, the power source will change from one source to two sources, in this case, network is said to be active. This may probably have an impact on the distribution grid to whenever the wind turbine is connected. The best way to know the impact of wind turbine on the distribution grid in question is by carrying out load flow analysis on that system with and without the connection of wind turbines. Two major fundamental calculations: the steady-state voltage variation at the PCC (point of common coupling) and the calculation of short-circuit power of the grid system at the POC (point of connection) are necessary before carrying out the load flow study on the distribution grid. This paper, therefore, considers these pre-load flow calculations that are necessary before carrying out load flow study on the test distribution grid. These calculations are carded out on a test distribution system.
文摘The conventional fault analysis method based on symmetrical components supposes that the three-phase parameters of un-transposed transmission line are symmetrical in case of fault. The errors caused by the method with the symmetrical distributed parameter circuit model as the equivalent circuit of the un-transposed ultra high voltage(UHV) transmission line were studied under both normal operation and fault,and the corresponding problems arising were pointed out. By contrast with electromagnetic transient and power electronics(EMTPE) simulation results with the asymmetrical distributed parameter circuit model of un-transposed line, it is shown that the conventional method cannot show the existence of negative and zero sequences before fault happening and there are many errors on voltage and current after fault happening which are different with fault types. The error ranges of voltage and current are 2.13%-81.13% and -7.82%- -86.15%, respectively.
文摘Towing tractor drivelines are lightly damped non-linear systems. Interactions between components can cause dynamic behavors such as gear gap impact in gear transmissions, shuffle and clonk phenomena in driveline. The torsional vibration of driveline has an important effect on grand engineering vehicle vibration and noise. Through analyzing torsional vibration equations of driveline, torsional vibration model of driveline is developed by using Matlab/Simulink software, Shuffle and clonk phenomena are observed in torsional vibration. The modeling method of analysizing driveline torsional vibration can be used to research and improve similar engineering vehicle driveline behavors.

文摘Meretricis concha is a kind of marine traditional Chinese medicine(TCM), and has been commonly used for the treatment of asthma and scald burns. In order to investigate the relationship between the inorganic elemental fingerprint and the geographical origin identification of Meretricis concha, the elemental contents of M. concha from five sampling points in Rushan Bay have been determined by means of inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry(ICP-OES). Based on the contents of 14 inorganic elements(Al, As, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Hg, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, Se, and Zn), the inorganic elemental fingerprint which well reflects the elemental characteristics was constructed. All the data from the five sampling points were discriminated with accuracy through hierarchical cluster analysis(HCA) and principle component analysis(PCA), indicating that a four-factor model which could explain approximately 80% of the detection data was established, and the elements Al, As, Cd, Cu, Ni and Pb could be viewed as the characteristic elements. This investigation suggests that the inorganic elemental fingerprint combined with multivariate statistical analysis is a promising method for verifying the geographical origin of M. concha, and this strategy should be valuable for the authenticity discrimination of some marine TCM.

文摘Network structures and human behaviors are considered as two important factors in virus defense currently. However, due to ignorance of network security, normal users usually take simple activities, such as reinstalling computer system, or using the computer recovery system to clear virus. How system recovery influences virus spreading is not taken into consideration currently. In this paper, a new virus propagation model considering the system recovery is proposed first, and then in its steady-state analysis, the virus propagation steady time and steady states are deduced. Experiment results show that models considering system recovery can effectively restrain virus propagation. Furthermore, algorithm with system recovery in BA scale-free network is proposed. Simulation result turns out that target immunization strategy with system recovery works better than traditional ones in BA network.

文摘From the viewpoints of environmental conservation and energy efficiency,seawater-source heat pump system(SWHP) to provide district cooling and heating is applied in coastal areas.Based on the system,a heat transfer model was established for cast heat exchanger(CHE) adopted by SWHP systems.The CHE consists of pipes immersed in the seawater and used for transferring heat between the seawater and the heat exchanger pipes of SWHP system.An experimental study was carried out to test the validity of the model.A program was developed in VB language and the effects of inlet temperature,flow rate of the secondary refrigerant and length of CHE on the results were investigated.The results of the numerical simulation are in consistence with the experiments in both winter and summer conditions.As a result,application of SWHP systems with CHE in coastal areas in China is feasible due to the favorable geographical conditions and environment.

文摘When examining the file transfer performance in a peer-to-peer file sharing system, a fundamental problem is how to describe the service rate for a file transfer. In this paper, the problem is examined by analyzing the distribution of server-like nodes' upstream-bandwidth among their concurrent transfers. A sufficient condition for the service rate, what a receiver obtains for downloading a file, to asymptotically be uniform is presented. On the aggregate service rate for transferring a file in a system, a sufficient condition for it to asymptotically follow a Zipf distribution is presented. These asymptotic equalities are both in the mean square sense. These analyses and the sufficient conditions provide a mathematic base for modeling file transfer processes in peer-to-peer file sharing systems.

Chinese sports aim at building the body and self-cultivation. The movement structures of sports are mainly the simulation of all kinds of movement of animals, which are particular about static and dynamic equilibrium, firmness, and gentleness, getting refined internally and externally. The feature of Chinese sports is the unification of form and spirit. The pattern of Chinese sports is closely related with Chinese philosophy thought, and the constructed Chinese sports culture has become the essential part of Chinese traditional philosophy. Chinese sports have integrated fitness and aesthetic appreciation into one, which is the specific expression of Chinese traditional thought. However, western sports have integrated with western philosophy thought with strong athletic tint. The characteristic of western sports has a necessary connection with the ancient Greek thought. Ancient Greeks had realized that the relationship between human and the nature was not totally dependent with contrariety, so they thought only fighting with the nature could they survive. The origins of thought of Chinese and western sports cultures decide the differences between Chinese and western sports. The harmony of China and competition of the west can be both embodied in sports. This thesis will analyze the differences between Chinese and western sports philosophy.
