By combining this model with the M4S model, the propagation process of the internal waves is simulated in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images. The simulation results clearly show the bottom effects during the propagation such as fission and isobaths-parallelized propagation direction. This simulation procedure can lay the foundation for the quantitative interpretation of internal waves from fully two-dimensional SAR images.展开更多

This most fundamental question in quantum mechanics has not yet been satisfactorily resolved, although its realistic interpretation seems to have been rejected by various delayedchoice experiments. Here, to address this long-standing issue, we present a quantum twisted double-slit experiment. By exploiting the subluminal feature of twisted photons, the real nature of a photon during its time in flight is revealed for the first time. We found that photons' arrival times were inconsistent with the states obtained in measurements but agreed with the states during propagation. Our results demonstrate that wavefunctions describe the realistic existence and evolution of quantum entities rather than a pure mathematical abstraction providing a probability list of measurement outcomes. This finding clarifies the long-held misunderstanding of the role of wavefunctions and their collapse in the evolution of quantum entities.展开更多

With the aid of symbolic computation, we prove that the (2+ l)-dimensional generalization of shallow water wave equation possesses the Palnlev6 property under a certain condition, and its Lax pair is constructed by applying the singular manifold method. Based on the obtained Lax representation, the Darboux transformation (DT) is constructed. The first iterated solution, second iterated solution and a special N-soliton solution with an arbitrary function are derived with the resulting DT. Relevant properties are graphically illustrated, which might be helpful to understanding the propagation processes for ocean waves in shallow water.展开更多
