The process has a significant effect on increasing the core temperature, the neutrino abundance and the neutrino energies even if there is no quark interaction. Furthermore, with the switch of the strong interaction among quarks, these quantities will increase respectively to some further extents with αc increase. Taking αc = 0.47 as an example, the temperature, the neutrino abundance and the total neutrino energies are further raised by about 10%, 7%, and 20% respectively, which is weakly dependent on the initial temperature. Combining the effect of the current quark mass and the effect of the quark strong interaction, the results of the conversions will greatly enhance the probability of success for a supernova explosion and deeply influence the dynamics of the supernova evolution.展开更多

The result shows that HgSe has a pressure-induced transition sequence from a semimetal to a semiconductor to a metal, similar to that in HgTe. Several discontinuous changes in conductivity are observed at around 1.5, 17, 29 and 49GPa, corresponding to the phase transitions from zinc-blende to cinnabar to rocksalt to orthorhombic to an unknown structure, respectively. In comparison with HgTe, it is speculated that the unknown structure may be a distorted CsCl structure. For the cinnabar-HgSe, the energy gap as a function of pressure is obtained according to the temperature dependence of conductivity. The plot of the temperature dependence of conductivity indicates that the unknown structure of HgSe has an electrical property of a conductor.展开更多

In this model, we consider a modified version of the spin star model, by taking into account, besides the interaction of the central spin with the bath, the interactions between the spins of the bath as well. The general expressions of the eigenstates as well as the eigenvalues of the model are derived with the use of the symmetries of system. We then investigate the properties of the ground quantum phase transitions in some limiting cases in the model and show that the occurrence of quantum phase transitions and the desired ground states can be obtained by varying the external control parameters.展开更多

For this purpose we consider an O(n) symmetric spin model on the honeycomb lattice with vacancies; the tricritical behavior is associated with the percolation threshold of the vacancies. The vacancies are represented by face variables on the elementary hexagons of thelattice. We apply a mapping of the spin degrees of freedom model on a non-intersecting-loop model, in which the number n of spin components assumes the role of a continuously variable parameter. This loop model serves as a suitable basis for the construction of the transfer matrix. Our results reveal the existence of a tricritical line, parametrized by n, which connects the known universality classes of the tricritical Ising model and the theta point describing the collapse of a polymer. On the other side of theIsing point, the tricritical line extends to the n = 2 point describing a tricritical O(2) model.展开更多

The model parameters are taken to be the values fitted by the energies of the baryon ground states and the kaon-nucleon elastic scattering phase shifts of different partial waves. As a preliminary study the s-channel q(-q) annihilation interactions are not included since they only act in the very short range and are subsequently assumed to be unimportant in the low-energy domain. The numerical results are in qualitative agreement with the experimental data.展开更多

An important relation between the vacuum expectation value of gauge fields and scalar fields is also derived by solving the Euler equation for the gauge fields. Based on this relation the gauge potential is given which can be used to explain the asymptotic behavior and confinement of quarks in a hadron, and at the same time the Yukawa potential of strong interaction can be given too.展开更多

The explicit expressions for the potentials, energy eigenvalues, and eigenfunctions of the systems are given. The eigenfunctions can be expressed in terms of the Jacobi, Hermite, and generalized Laguerre polynomials. All potentials for these solvable systems have an extra term Vm, which is produced from the dependence of mass on the position, compared with those for the systems of constant mass. The properties of Vm for several mass functions are discussed.展开更多

The newly identified cold-compressed graphite phases of M, W and 0 carbon provide a crucial link to understand the graphite-to- diamond phase transformation. We demonstrate by ab initio calculations that pressure has a dual role in lowering the conversion barrier and enhancing the production stability during the first-stage cold-compressed phase conversion of graphite toward the intermediate metastable M, W and 0 carbon phases. However, it has little effect on the relative enthalpy and high conversion barrier during the second-stage conversion process toward the diamond polytypes, showing a temperature dominated conversion process. These results may give explanation regarding the necessity of high pressure and high temperature during the graphite-to- diamond reaction.展开更多

The nonlinear DC gain and nonlinear settling process are introduced into the op-amp module. The signaldependent charge injection and nonlinear resistance are introduced into the switch module. In addition, the noise source including flicker and thermal noise is introduced into system as an independent module. The novel model is verified by SIMULINK behavioral simulations. The results are compared with results from circuit level simulation in Cadence SPICE using TSMC 0.35μm mixed signal technology. It shows that the novel model succeeds in introducing the influences of the nonidealities into behavior simulation to more realistically describe the circuit performances and increase the accuracy of SIMULINK simulation.展开更多
