Objective:To study the effect of Intravenous Low Intensity He Ne Laser Irradiation(IL ILI)and Traditional Chinese Medical herbs(TCM)on the function of cerebral astrocytes and endothelial glycation of experimental diab...Objective:To study the effect of Intravenous Low Intensity He Ne Laser Irradiation(IL ILI)and Traditional Chinese Medical herbs(TCM)on the function of cerebral astrocytes and endothelial glycation of experimental diabetic stroke.Methods:7 out of 35 rabbits were randomly selected as the normal group(A);others were modeled with alloxan intravenous injection for diabetes and photochemical radiation for stroke forming the combined model of diabetic stroke.21 successfully modeled rabbits were randomized into three groups:control group (B);IL ILI group(C);Combined therapy of IL ILI and TCM(D).After 30 days of treatment,their brain were studied with local infarction area;immunohistochemistry of glial fibriliary acidic protein and anti glycation end productions.Results:Compared with group B,group C and group D were seen with smaller infarct area,less endothelial glycation,obvious the fibrosis of astrocytes.And group D was found with more significant effect than group C in all these indices.Conclusion:The combined therapy of IL ILI and TCM can effectively treat diabetic infarction by strengthening the fibrosis of astrocytes and reducing endothelial glycation.展开更多
