However, full-tensor gradiometry (FTG) data are...In oil and mineral exploration, gravity gradient tensor data include higher- frequency signals than gravity data, which can be used to delineate small-scale anomalies. However, full-tensor gradiometry (FTG) data are contaminated by high-frequency random noise. The separation of noise from high-frequency signals is one of the most challenging tasks in processing of gravity gradient tensor data. We first derive the Cartesian equations of gravity gradient tensors under the constraint of the Laplace equation and the expression for the gravitational potential, and then we use the Cartesian equations to fit the measured gradient tensor data by using optimal linear inversion and remove the noise from the measured data. Based on model tests, we confirm that not only this method removes the high- frequency random noise but also enhances the weak anomaly signals masked by the noise. Compared with traditional low-pass filtering methods, this method avoids removing noise by sacrificing resolution. Finally, we apply our method to real gravity gradient tensor data acquired by Bell Geospace for the Vinton Dome at the Texas-Louisiana border.展开更多

Traditio...We propose a new method for robust adaptive backstepping control of nonlinear systems with parametric uncertainties and disturbances in the strict feedback form. The method is called dynamic surface control. Traditional backstepping algorithms require repeated differentiations of the modelled nonlinearities. The addition of n first order low pass filters allows the algorithm to be implemented without differentiating any model nonlinearities, thus ending the complexity arising due to the 'explosion of terms' that makes other methods difficult to implement in practice. The combined robust adaptive backstepping/first order filter system is proved to be semiglobally asymptotically stable for sufficiently fast filters by a singular perturbation approach. The simulation results demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the controller designed by the method.展开更多

OPS (oxidized porous silicon) and HR (high-resistivity) substrates are used ...The loss mechanisms of different passive devices (on-chip inductors and capacitors) on different substrates are analyzed and compared. OPS (oxidized porous silicon) and HR (high-resistivity) substrates are used as low-loss substrates for on-chip planar LPF (low pass filter) fabrication. For the study of substrate loss, a planar coil inductor is also designed. Simulation results show that Q (the quality factor) of the inductor on both substrates is over 20. Measurements of the LPF on OPS substrate give a - 3dB bandwidth of 2.9GHz and a midband insertion loss of 0.87dB at 500MHz. The LPF on HR substrate gives a - 3dB bandwidth of 2.3GHz and a midband insertion loss of 0.42dB at 500MHz.展开更多

Rotor position estimation of a PMSM is performed by using sliding mode observer(SMO). An adaptive observer gain was designed based on Lyapunov function and applied to solve the chattering problem caused by the discontinuous function of the SMO in the wide speed range. The cascade low-pass filter(LPF) with variable cut-off frequency was proposed to reduce the chattering problem and to attenuate the filtering capability of the SMO. In addition, the phase shift caused by the filter was counterbalanced by applying the variable phase delay compensation for the whole speed area. High accuracy estimation result of the rotor position was obtained in the experiment by applying the proposed estimation strategy.展开更多

The SWAN (simulating waves nea...Using optimal interpolation data assimilation of observed wave spectrum around Northeast coast of Taiwan Island, the typhoon driven wave nowcasting model in Southeast China Sea is setup. The SWAN (simulating waves nearshore) model is used to calculate wave field and the input wind field is the QSCAT/NCEP (Quick Scatterometer/National Centers for Environmental Prediction) data. The two-dimensional wavelet transform is applied to analyze the X-band radar image of nearshore wave field and it reveals that the observed wave spectrum has shoaling characteristics in frequency domain. The reverse calculation approach of wave spectrum in deep water is proposed and validated with experimental tests. The two-dimensional digital low-pass filter is used to obtain the initialization wave field. Wave data during Typhoon Sinlaku is used to calibrate the data assimilation parameters and test the reverse calculation approach. Data assimilation corrects the significant wave height and the low frequency spectra energy evidently at Beishuang Station along Fujian Province coast, where the entire assimilation indexes are positive in verification moments. The nowcasting wave field shows that the present model can obtain more accurate wave predictions for coastal and ocean engineering in Southeast China Sea.展开更多

Firstly, the coupled model containing the quintessential parts was built, and the mechanism of self-excited vibration was explained in terms of energy transmission from levitation system to bridge. Then, the influences of the parameters of the widely used integral-type proportion and derivation(PD) controller and the delay of signals on the stability of the interaction system were analyzed. The result shows that the integral-type PD control is a nonoptimal approach to solve the self-excited vibration completely. Furthermore, the differential-type PD controller can guarantee the passivity of levitation system at full band. However, the differentiation of levitation gap should be filtered by a low-pass filter due to noise of gap differentiation. The analysis indicates that a well tuned low-pass filter can still keep the coupled system stable.展开更多

Coal mining monitoring system has been enforcing tests for the immunity of Electromagnetic Compatibility(EMC) since 2006.However,not all monitoring substations can pass the Electrical Fast Transient/Burst(EFT/B) immun...Coal mining monitoring system has been enforcing tests for the immunity of Electromagnetic Compatibility(EMC) since 2006.However,not all monitoring substations can pass the Electrical Fast Transient/Burst(EFT/B) immunity test and the explosion-proof test simultaneously.In order to enhance EMC,the EFT/B interfere transmission model was presented at the substation power port,after the EFT/B test method was used to analyze the monitoring substation power ports.Hence,a low-pass filter was designed by using the simulation software PIPICE and an anti-jamming method was proposed by way of a parallel connection of the discharge interfere circuit and the low-pass filter.The improved complex EMI filter was made up of an interference discharge device and a filter.The dynamic equivalent circuit was proposed for the EFT/B immunity test.As a result,the monitoring substation has passed the EFT/B immunity and explosion-proof tests with the complex filter.It is concluded that the complex EMI filter has significantly enhanced the immunity of the coal mining monitoring system.展开更多

In the control force d...A fully coupled 6-degree-of-freedom nonlinear dynamic model is presented to analyze the dynamic response of a semi-submersible platform which is equipped with the dynamic positioning(DP) system. In the control force design, a dynamic model of reference linear drift frequency in the horizontal plane is introduced. The dynamic surface control(DSC) is used to design a control strategy for the DP. Compared with the traditional back-stepping methods, the dynamic surface control combined with radial basis function(RBF) neural networks(NNs) can avoid differentiating intermediate variables repeatedly in every design step due to the introduction of a first order filter. Low frequency motions obtained from total motions by a low pass filter are chosen to be the inputs for the RBF NNs which are used to approximate the low frequency wave force. Considering the propellers' wear and tear, the effect of filtering frequencies for the control force is discussed. Based on power consumptions and positioning requirements, the NN centers are determined. Moreover, the RBF NNs used to approximate the total wave force are built to monitor the disturbances. With the DP assistance, the results of fully coupled dynamic response simulations are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.展开更多

The performances of LPF are controlled by a 1-bit control- voltage, and the cut-off frequency, channel selectivity, and linearity of the proposed filter can be reconfigured accordingly. In order to improve the accuracy of the cut-off frequency, a binary-weigh- ted switched-capacitor array is employed as the auto-tuning circuits to calibrate the RC-time con- stant. Fabricated in TSMC 0. 18μm RF CMOS process, the proposed LPF achieves a measured cutoff frequency of 1.95 and 12.3MHz for WCDMA and GPS/Galileo application with a bandwidth de viation less than 4%. The measured l dB compression points are -3.0dBm and -5.1 dBm respectively for different modes. The core circuit of LPF consumes l mW and 1.6mW for WCDMA and GPS/Galileo respectively. And the proposed LPF occupies an area of 0.78ram2.展开更多

As a result of simulation, the insertion loss is less than 0.3 dB throughout the pass-band of 2.2 GHz- 10.6 GHz, while the return loss is more than 18 dB. It is a monitoring project, for the evaluation of climate change signals, based on measuring sites located inside canyons and caves; it merged in the year 2005, under the scientific supervision of the Palermo Branch of the Italian National Institute for Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), two different monitoring programs active since 1999. The choice of these environments is based on their morphological structure: being them more or less segregated respect the outer atmosphere, they act as low-pass filters respect the variations of the monitored parameters, which are rainfall and dropping water amounts and rates, air temperatures and relative humidity and carbon dioxide concentrations in the atmosphere. On the basis of the preliminary data, reported and discussed in the paper, the C6 network seems to be capable to give useful information on the local effects of global changes, even if at the moment the monitored parameters concern only the abiotic components of the studied ecosystems.展开更多

Continuous vertical-component wavefor...An algorithm for detecting low-frequency seismic events is developed and applied to the detection of low-frequency events before the 2008 Wenchuan and the 2013 Lushan earthquakes. Continuous vertical-component waveforms of some broadband stations in the few months before the Wenchuan and Lushan earthquakes are processed by applying a bandpass filter in 2- 8Hz,and then converted to envelopes with a smoothing time of 10 s window and a median filter with a 20 min window. As a result,teleseismic,long-period noise and local small earthquakes are removed,the filtered amplitude is obviously larger than that of the noise and lasts for a dozen minutes to several hours during a few days in a few stations before the Wenchuan and Lushan earthquakes,respectively. The waveform and envelope are similar to that of a non-volcanic tremor( NVT). There are suspected NVT before the two earthquakes. Preliminary application demonstrates that this algorithm is potentially useful for extracting NVT signals from continuous seismic waveforms.展开更多

文摘Essential characteristics for watermark registration and detection without data modification can be used in anaudio zero-watermarking scheme.In this paper,a novel audio zero-watermarking scheme based on discrete wavelet transform(DWT) and discrete cosine transform(DCT) is presented.Thewatermark is registered by comparing the mean absolute values of the adjacent frame coefficients after DWT and DCT.Simulation results show that the proposed scheme is stronglyrobusttocommon attacks such as AWGN,downsampling,low-pass filtering,requantization,and MP3 compression.A performance analysis of the proposed scheme shows that all bit error rates after attacks are zero.

文摘The high linearity low-noise filter is an indispensable key circuit in the communication system.Based on the structure of current-reuse source-degradation operational transconductance amplifier(OTA),a 5 GHz current-mode low-noise Gm-C filter suitable for high-speed communication systems is proposed.Thanks to the proposed current mode structure and the OTA’s high-power efficiency and high linearity,the filter obtains good noise and high linearity performance with very low power consumption.The filter is designed in standard 65 nm CMOS technology and occupies a core area of 0.06 mm^(2).The simulation results show that the operating bandwidth is 5 GHz,the IIP3 is35 d Bm,and the power consumption is only 3.2 m W.

文摘A 4th-order low-pass filter (LPF) based on active-Gm-RC structure for multi-standard system application is presented in this paper. The performances of LPF are controlled by a 1-bit control- voltage, and the cut-off frequency, channel selectivity, and linearity of the proposed filter can be reconfigured accordingly. In order to improve the accuracy of the cut-off frequency, a binary-weigh- ted switched-capacitor array is employed as the auto-tuning circuits to calibrate the RC-time con- stant. Fabricated in TSMC 0. 18μm RF CMOS process, the proposed LPF achieves a measured cutoff frequency of 1.95 and 12.3MHz for WCDMA and GPS/Galileo application with a bandwidth de viation less than 4%. The measured l dB compression points are -3.0dBm and -5.1 dBm respectively for different modes. The core circuit of LPF consumes l mW and 1.6mW for WCDMA and GPS/Galileo respectively. And the proposed LPF occupies an area of 0.78ram2.
文摘A method of 2-D Fourier transform used in 3-D surface profilometry is proposed,analyzed and compared with 1-D Fourier transform method in theory and practical measuring result.It was proved that the 2-D Fourier transform method has more advantages over 1-D Fourier transform method in biggest crook-rate limits,accuracy and sensitivity of measuring.Study on measuring object surface details with large crook-rate changing accurately used new higher-power index low-pass filter of spatial frequency domain.A new method of automatic produced reference grating image and error-correcting is proposed.One undeform row of deform grating image is used to extend a complete reference grating image,and some error-correcting method is used to process the result to get accurate surface shape and the deflection of reference surface normal line deviated from the axle of camera.By this new method,one deform rectangle grating image is only used to get the 3-D shape accurately.

文摘This paper presents a compact Ultra-Wideband (UWB) band-pass filter using a high-pass filter and a low-pass one, and the resonator with lumped elements. The structure of our proposed bandpass filter is very simple and the Defected Ground Structure(DGS) structure is used to get the low-pass filter characteristics. This proposed band-pass filter can be much smaller than a cascaded type filter. As a result of simulation, the insertion loss is less than 0.3 dB throughout the pass-band of 2.2 GHz- 10.6 GHz, while the return loss is more than 18 dB. And it has rejection level of 36 dB at GPS band.
文摘The acronym C6 means "Climatic Changes and Carbon Cycle in Canyons and Caves". It is a monitoring project, for the evaluation of climate change signals, based on measuring sites located inside canyons and caves; it merged in the year 2005, under the scientific supervision of the Palermo Branch of the Italian National Institute for Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), two different monitoring programs active since 1999. The choice of these environments is based on their morphological structure: being them more or less segregated respect the outer atmosphere, they act as low-pass filters respect the variations of the monitored parameters, which are rainfall and dropping water amounts and rates, air temperatures and relative humidity and carbon dioxide concentrations in the atmosphere. On the basis of the preliminary data, reported and discussed in the paper, the C6 network seems to be capable to give useful information on the local effects of global changes, even if at the moment the monitored parameters concern only the abiotic components of the studied ecosystems.

文摘An algorithm for detecting low-frequency seismic events is developed and applied to the detection of low-frequency events before the 2008 Wenchuan and the 2013 Lushan earthquakes. Continuous vertical-component waveforms of some broadband stations in the few months before the Wenchuan and Lushan earthquakes are processed by applying a bandpass filter in 2- 8Hz,and then converted to envelopes with a smoothing time of 10 s window and a median filter with a 20 min window. As a result,teleseismic,long-period noise and local small earthquakes are removed,the filtered amplitude is obviously larger than that of the noise and lasts for a dozen minutes to several hours during a few days in a few stations before the Wenchuan and Lushan earthquakes,respectively. The waveform and envelope are similar to that of a non-volcanic tremor( NVT). There are suspected NVT before the two earthquakes. Preliminary application demonstrates that this algorithm is potentially useful for extracting NVT signals from continuous seismic waveforms.
