以小说为代表的作品文类中,人物形象由具体的语言形象构成,二者又都取决于作为一种修辞美形象的汉语形象是如何在具体的作品中被塑造的。本文以《断魂枪》口语式语言为例进行分析,汉语形象作为汉语的修辞性形象,主要从语音形象(音节和字句组合、韵脚、拟声摹状词和叠音词)、文法形象(语词、句式)、辞格形象(比喻、夸张、别解等)、语体形象四方面来构成作品的汉语形象。

Application of electrical capacitance tomography for imaging industrial processes

Electrical tomography is, in certain cases, the most attractive method for real imaging of industrial processes, because of its inherent simplicity, rugged construction of the tomographer and high-speed capability. This paper presents examples illus- trating applications of electrical tomography for imaging fluidized beds, bubble columns and pneumatic conveyors. Electrical tomography opens up new ways for processing, imaging and modelling multi-phase flows as shown by 2D and 3D images illus- trating the various types of flow morphology.

Safe Space of Ideology

Our studies about safety in society lead us to the most popular book by Karl Mannheim： Ideology and Utopia. This work envisages the discrepancies between social knowledge and the material world itself. The crucial conclusion reads as follows： Our image of reality is mostly based on our interests and desires and does not rely on thorough research. There are two types of such representations： utopia and ideology. The first of them, less interesting for us, is the type of ideas which can revolutionize a social being. The second one is a particular set of visions which can never be realized but on the other hand they act as common knowledge （general knowledge of the world）--stabilizing the social structure by presenting it with a holistic image of the world. Taking the above into consideration, how is it possible that representations, being so distant from reality （creating a completely separate ＂world＂）, basically enable efficient functioning in it？ Ideology, being the foundation of the society＇s functioning space, should always be tautological, in the sense that for the participants of the given world＇s image （creation as it is）, it should define the being in a comprehensive and adequate way （in Thomas Aquinas spirit）. What is more, it would always be true. We should also mention that the main tools of ideology, understood this way, are specific definitions and the extrapolation of sense. The purpose of this lecture is to prove that it is possible for ideology to come to life, only when the individuals who acknowledge it will consider their image of reality proper. The above ideological system should be understood as the obviousness of description of the surrounding world which in return makes unreflective functioning in reality possible. This obviousness of the presented world will be referred to as social safety.

In recent years, ＂Social media＂ has become a new buzzword. Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Weibo etc. have made a considerable impact on contemporary life. What is the 14th Dalai Lama＇s image as it is represented via Western social media？ Do Western social media publish the 14th Dalai Lama＇s different contents, from a different perspective, or in a different way from that of the standard Western mainstream news outlets？ Are there any differences between the image of the 14th Dalai Lama on Western social media and on mainstream media？ What are differences between the image of the 14th Dalai Lama on Western and Chinese social media when discussing the same event or topic？ The research aims to answer these questions the 14th Dalai Lama; Western social media; Chinese social media.

Triggering Body Dissatisfaction： The Role of Familiarity on Subsequent Evaluations of the Self

Past research examining the content of media programming has demonstrated that women in the media tend to have to conform to certain beauty and body standards in order to succeed. Because this thin ideal is so weU-documented, there has been an interest in examining the effects of those portrayals on media consumers. Results from experimental studies suggest that the media can play an important role in causing body dissatisfaction among women. This research looks to build upon prior studies by exploring the role of familiarity with the mediated image in causing body dissatisfaction. Results suggest that in line with prior research, unfamiliar images of skinny women and moderately overweight women influenced women so that they felt worse about themselves. A similar result was obtained with familiar images of skinny celebrities. Familiar images of overweight celebrities, though, did not cause body dissatisfaction. Implications from these results are discussed.

The scope of this paper is to investigate a number of emerging contemporary popular subgenres, namely that of ＂mumblecore film＂, the ＂best-worst film＂ and ＂the gonzo documentary＂. Unlike historical cinematic movements, these subgenres are the result of our techocentric culture and commercialism. In this respect these subgenres are less motivated by a collective ideology, but rather a cultural phenomenon resulting from increased access to popular culture, hypermedia devices, social media, and new marketing techniques. This paper investigates the displacement of traditional models of temporality through the metamorphosis of today＇s audiovisual culture, outlining the subject＇s embodiment of voyeurism and exhibitionism, ushering in a hyper-real era of self-myth making and consumption.

Migration Images in Turkish Art

In Turkey, from the second half of the nineteenth century, the shaping of an art of painting on the basis of Western understanding was realized with state support. From this period, certain art movements were seen as the means of modernization and Westernization. Therefore, impressionism, cubism, realism, and classicism were supported by the state as a formal artistic understanding. This attitude continued until the 1940s and artists painted certain subject matters on the basis of these art movements. The main theme and subject matters were the presentations of an idealized society such as palace＇s life, attractive women in Western appearance, happy peasants, war heroes, and beautiful views from the country. In the early 1940s, significant breakup began to take place in point of the theme and the subject matter of art. Social realism began to take shape for the first time in art in Turkey. The artists of Yeniler Grubu （Newcomers Group） focused on social phenomena related disadvantaged social groups rather than an idealized society. Some artists among the 1950 generation, especially Nedim Gunsur, Nuri iyem, and Miimtaz Yener, focused on migration and social problems that occurred correspondingly in the 1960s and 1970s. This paper aims to investigate how these artists depicted and interpreted the migration and its consequences.

A Corpus-Driven Analysis of Image Construction of BRIC Bank from Mainstream Media＇s Perspective-- A Case Study of China Daily

Despite the fact that BRIC Bank was instituted to enhance the core competitiveness of developing countries, opponents concern it would undermine the status of the World Bank and incurred negative impact. However, as China is one of initiated countries of the BRIC nations, domestic mainstream media witnessed widespread coverage to justify Bank＇s roles. Therefore, this paper, based on Halliday＇s Meta-language Function theory, intends to explore the significance of BRIC Banks from the perspective of domestic mainstream media. Meanwhile, the thesis, combining with corpus research tools and VRIN standard theory （namely Valuable, Rare, Imperfectly, Imitable, Non-Substitutable）, probes into image construction and interprets roles of BRIC Bank in mainstream reports.

Major international sporting events are the key channels for the exchange and dissemination of information among athletes from various countries, media coverages, national and international audiences which involves interpersonal communication, organizational communication, and mass communication at all levels.
