The tem...In this paper, the volumetric properties of pure and mixture of ionic liquids are predicted using the developed statistical mechanical equation of state in different temperatures, pressures and mole fractions. The temperature dependent parameters of the equation of state have been calculated using corresponding state correlation based on only the density at 298.15 K as scaling constants. The obtained mean of deviations of modified equation of state for density of all pure ionic liquids for 1662 data points was 0.25%. In addition, the performance of the artificial neural network(ANN) with principle component analysis(PCA) based on back propagation training with28 neurons in hidden layer for predicting of behavior of binary mixtures of ionic liquids was investigated. The AADs of a collection of 568 data points for all binary systems using the EOS and the ANN at various temperatures and mole fractions are 1.03% and 0.68%, respectively. Moreover, the excess molar volume of all binary mixtures is predicted using obtained densities of EOS and ANN, and the results show that these properties have good agreement with literature.展开更多

Retrospective analysis of the case reports of 284 pat...The objective of this study is to investigate hormonal receptor status of MOT (malignant ovarian tumor) and to evaluate its clinical and prognostic significance. Retrospective analysis of the case reports of 284 patients with MOT of different histogenesis, stages I-IV, and immunohistochemical study of paraffin-embedded tissues were performed. Hormonal receptor status of tumors with different morphology genesis was studied and hormonal receptor phenotype of serous OC (ovarian cancer) was determined. The analysis of correlation between the expression of steroid hormone receptors (receptors to estrogens (ER), progesterone (PR) and testosterone (TR)) in ovarian tumors, histological type of tumors and clinical morphological parameters were performed. Overall and relapse-free survival rates of the patients with serous OC depending on the hormonal receptor phenotype of the tumor were assessed. Presence of positive expression of steroid hormone receptors in serous OC (ER-66.4%, PR^53.4%, TR-53.0%), mucinous OC (ER-88.0%, PR-84.0%, TR-60.0%) and in sex cord stromal tumors (ER-74.1%, PR and TR-77.8%) is proved by correlation of all steroid receptors expression with morphology type of ovarian tumors (ER - r = 0.4; PR - r = 0.4; TR - r = 0.3; p 〈 0.05). Direct correlation between hormonal receptor phenotype of serous OC and the age period of the patients was established (r = 0.5; p = 0.002): postmenopausal women patients reported the most increased frequency of serous OC with positive hormonal receptor tumor phenotypes (52.4%), in particular during their late post-menopausal period (39.0%). Significantly low overall survival among the patients with positive hormonal receptor phenotype of serous OC was recorded (29.5±3.4%) in comparison with the same score in the patients with negative phenotype of tumors (44.5±3.7%) (p 〈 0.05). Multifactor analysis of Cox-regression model has defined that positive hormonal receptor phenotype of serous OC increases the risk of disease relapse (HR 1.4; 95.0% CI 1.1-1.7), significantly decreases overall survival rates in the patients (HR 1.4; 95.0% CI 1.1-1.8). Positive hormonal receptor status of MOT is an independent factor of unfavorable clinical progress of tumor process which can be regarded as the criterion for development of the methods of hormonal therapy application in complex treatment of the patients, and demands further large-scale multi-center studies in that direction.展开更多

The silicene monolayers epitaxially grown on Ag(111) surfaces demonstrate various reconstructions with different electronic structures. Here we show that VEGFR2 is acetylated in endothelial cells both at four lysine residues forming a dense cluster in the kinase insert domain and at a single lysine located in the receptor activation loop. These modifications are under dynamic control of the acetyltransferase p300 and two deacetyiases HDAC5 and HDAC6. We demonstrate that VEGFR2 acetylation essentially regulates receptor phosphorylation. In par- ticular, VEGFR2 acetylation significantly alters the kinetics of receptor phosphorylation after ligand binding, allowing receptor phos- phoryiation and intraceUular signaling upon proLonged stimulation with VEGF. Molecular dynamics simulations indicate that acetylation of the lysine in the activation loop contributes to the transition to an open active state, in which tyrosine phosphorylation is favored by better exposure of the kinase target residues. These findings indicate that post-translational modification by acetyiation is a critical mechanism that directLy affects VEGFR2 function.展开更多

A sudden change in the top...The introduction of topological invariants, ranging from insulators to metals, has provided new insights into the traditional classification of electronic states in condensed matter physics. A sudden change in the topological invariant at the boundaw of a topological nontrivial system leads to the formation of exotic surface states that are dramatically different from its bulk. In recent years, significant advancements in the exploration of the physical properties of these topological systems and regarding device research related to spintronics and quantum computation have been made. Here, we review the progress of the characterization and manipulation of topological phases from the electron transport perspective and also the intriguing chiral/Majorana states that stem from them. We then discuss the future directions of research into these topological states and their potential applications.展开更多

Here, we searched for polymorphisms in buffal...The insulin-like growth factor 1(IGF1) gene is a member of the group of somatotropin axis genes that play a significant role in cell proliferation and growth of muscles. Here, we searched for polymorphisms in buffalo IGF1 and found two novel single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs), G64 A and G280A, in the noncoding sequences of exon 1 and exon 4, respectively. Statistical analysis of different genotypes showed that the individuals with GG genotypes had significantly(P〈0.05) higher body weight(BW) and average daily gain(ADG) than those with other genotypes at ages of 3–6 months in G64A SNP and 6–9 months in G280A SNP. The combined genotypes of these two SNPs produced three haplotypes, GG/GG, AG/AG, and AA/AA, which were significantly associated(P〈0.0001) with BW and ADG at an age from 3 to 12 months. Buffaloes with the homozygous GG/GG haplotype showed higher growth performance than other buffaloes. The two SNPs were correlated with m RNA levels of IGF1 and IGF1 receptor(IGF1 R) in semitendinosus muscle as well as with the serum concentration level of IGF1. Also, buffaloes with GG/GG haplotype showed higher m RNA and serum concentration levels. The data revealed that these two SNPs could be valuable genetic markers for selection of Egyptian buffaloes for better performance in the population.展开更多

Excellent rectifying behavior with a rectification ratio of -10^7 at ±2 V and a low reverse leakage current of 1.0 × 10^-8 A/cm^2 at -5 V were observed. The Schottky barrier heights, as determined by the thermionic emission model Richardson plots, and barrier inhomogeneity model, were 0.90, 0.72, and 1.24 ± 0.13 eV, respectively. Despite the predicted low barrier height of -0.4 eV at the graphene-GaN interface, the formation of excellent rectifying characteristics with much larger barrier heights is attributed to the presence of a large number of surface states (1.2 x 1013 states/cm2/eV) and the internal spontaneous polarization field of GaN, resulted in a significant upward surface band bending or a bare surface barrier height as high as of 2.9 eV. Using the S parameter of 0.48 (measured from the work function dependence of Schottky barrier height) and the mean barrier height of 1.24 eV, the work function of graphene in the Au/graphene/GaN stack could be approximately estimated to be as low as 3.5 eV. The obtained results indicate that graphene is a promising candidate for use as a Schottky rectifier in GaN semiconductors with n-type conductivity.展开更多
A metal-ligand coordinated surfactant system formed by calcium dodecylsulfate(Ca(DS)2)/tetradecyldimethylamine oxide (C14DMAO)/H2O was studied in terms of surface tension,conductivity,negative-staining TEM,phase behav...A metal-ligand coordinated surfactant system formed by calcium dodecylsulfate(Ca(DS)2)/tetradecyldimethylamine oxide (C14DMAO)/H2O was studied in terms of surface tension,conductivity,negative-staining TEM,phase behavior and rheological operation.In C14DMAO solution,when Ca(DS)2 is added,metal-ligand complexes form between the Ca 2+and N→O group of C14DMAO.Under this metal-ligand driving force,different phases can be obtained at different concentrations and different ratios of Ca(DS)2 and C14DMAO.At the fixed C14DMAO concentration,L1-phase consisting of spherical micelles forms at first.With the addition of Ca(DS)2,the spherical micelles elongate to be wormlike micelles and then after an L1/L-two phase region,the birefringent vesicle-phase(Lv-phase)region is observed.When Ca(DS)2 concentration continues to increase,a gel-phase region is found after the Lv-phase region and then precipitates of undissolved Ca(DS)2 appear.The transition between different phases is affected by temperature remarkably.The wormlike micellar solutions and vesicle solutions were checked by rheological measurements and showed apparent viscoelasticity at high surfactant concentrations.展开更多

A 1D code was used to model the standard componen...This paper describes the calculation method for unsteady state conditions in the secondary air systems in gas turbines. The 1D-3D-Structure coupled method was applied. A 1D code was used to model the standard components that have typical geometric characteristics. Their flow and heat transfer were described by empirical correlations based on experimental data or CFD calculations. A 3D code was used to model the non-standard components that cannot be described by typical geometric languages, while a finite element analysis was carried out to compute the structural deformation and heat conduction at certain important positions. These codes were coupled through their interfaces. Thus, the changes in heat transfer and structure and their interactions caused by exterior disturbances can be reflected. The results of the coupling method in an unsteady state showed an apparent deviation from the existing data, while the results in the steady state were highly consistent with the existing data. The difference in the results in the unsteady state was caused primarily by structural deformation that cannot be predicted by the 1D method. Thus, in order to obtain the unsteady state performance of a secondary air system more accurately and efficiently, the 1D-3D-Structure coupled method should be used.展开更多

文摘A metal-ligand coordinated surfactant system formed by calcium dodecylsulfate(Ca(DS)2)/tetradecyldimethylamine oxide (C14DMAO)/H2O was studied in terms of surface tension,conductivity,negative-staining TEM,phase behavior and rheological operation.In C14DMAO solution,when Ca(DS)2 is added,metal-ligand complexes form between the Ca 2+and N→O group of C14DMAO.Under this metal-ligand driving force,different phases can be obtained at different concentrations and different ratios of Ca(DS)2 and C14DMAO.At the fixed C14DMAO concentration,L1-phase consisting of spherical micelles forms at first.With the addition of Ca(DS)2,the spherical micelles elongate to be wormlike micelles and then after an L1/L-two phase region,the birefringent vesicle-phase(Lv-phase)region is observed.When Ca(DS)2 concentration continues to increase,a gel-phase region is found after the Lv-phase region and then precipitates of undissolved Ca(DS)2 appear.The transition between different phases is affected by temperature remarkably.The wormlike micellar solutions and vesicle solutions were checked by rheological measurements and showed apparent viscoelasticity at high surfactant concentrations.

文摘This paper describes the calculation method for unsteady state conditions in the secondary air systems in gas turbines. The 1D-3D-Structure coupled method was applied. A 1D code was used to model the standard components that have typical geometric characteristics. Their flow and heat transfer were described by empirical correlations based on experimental data or CFD calculations. A 3D code was used to model the non-standard components that cannot be described by typical geometric languages, while a finite element analysis was carried out to compute the structural deformation and heat conduction at certain important positions. These codes were coupled through their interfaces. Thus, the changes in heat transfer and structure and their interactions caused by exterior disturbances can be reflected. The results of the coupling method in an unsteady state showed an apparent deviation from the existing data, while the results in the steady state were highly consistent with the existing data. The difference in the results in the unsteady state was caused primarily by structural deformation that cannot be predicted by the 1D method. Thus, in order to obtain the unsteady state performance of a secondary air system more accurately and efficiently, the 1D-3D-Structure coupled method should be used.
