The results showed that the content of GA3 in efflux extracted with alcohol is 10% higher than that with distilled water. With the increase of the durations of extraction, the content of GA3 increases and the dissolution of pigments also increase. For extraction of GA3 cultured in solid medium, the best decolorizing result was obtained when it was extracted with 75%-95% alcohol in static way for 1-3 h, or in a vibrating way for 30-60 min, and then to decolor in a static way for 30-60 min in 122 resin column.展开更多

The single-rod asymmetric cylinder has the advantages of small size and simple structure, but its speed characteristic is not symmetric. The double rod symmetric cylinder has the characteristic of symmetric speed, but it cannot be used in some special occasions. In this paper, one special hydraulic cylinder,a single-rod symmetric cylinder,is developed. Firstly, characters of this type of cylinder are introduced. Then, the system model is constructed by using one software which is Simulation X. Moreover, one single rod asymmetric cylinder is designed and the test rig using the symmetric valve to control single-rod symmetric or asymmetric cylinder is constructed. Both of the simulation and experimental results show that the symmetric valve control single-rod symmetric cylinder servo system is of symmetric speed characteristic, which can be used in practical occasion.展开更多

In the batch extraction experiments, due to the small molecules attaching to the polymeric surface, the basic physical mechanism shifts from surface diffusion to internal diffusion as the extraction proceeded. The experimental data are well reproduced by a diffusion model consisting of two distinct steps, characterized as surface diffusion and internal diffusion. Furthermore, based on the established mass transfer mechanism and diffusion model of the two distinct steps, the equilibrium constants and internal diffusion coefficients of CL, CD and CT are acquired. An industrial countercurrent extraction tower is further simulated. It is found that the extraction efficiency of CL can be significantly improved by increasing the temperature at the bottom portion of the tower. The elimination of CD, which can be greatly promoted by a high-concentration CL-water solution, is controlled by mass transfer resistance, whereas the removal of CL is mainly affected by the equilibrium.展开更多

Factors affecting the extract process were investigated, including organic solvents, β-cyclodextrin derivatives, cyclodextrin concentration, p H and temperature. A model was proposed to describe the separation process based on the homogeneous phase reaction mechanism. Important parameters of this model were determined experimentally. The physical distribution coefficients for molecular and ionic 2-PBA were0.129 and 7.455, respectively. The equilibrium constants of the complexation reactions were 89.36 and36.78 L·mol^-1 for(+)-and(-)-2-PBA, respectively. The model was verified by experiments and proved to be an excellent means to optimize the separation system. Through modeling prediction and experiment, the best conditions(e.g., pH value of 3.00, extractant concentration of 0.1 mol·L^-1, temperature of 5.0 ℃) were acquired. Under this condition, the maximum enantioselectivity(2.096) was obtained.展开更多

These mixtures contain higher levels of (4mm-0.0 mm) dust, than would be the case in standard un bound road base mixtures. The combined influence of the steel slag and granulated blast furnace slag wastes content is to enhance the stiffness of the road base materials and save materials and cost during road construction. Triaxial repeated load tests were performed on the unbound and lightly bound materials to measure their resilient modulus. The test results show important improvements in the bond strength between the contents of road base materials. This offers the prospect of using these materials in road base materials to reduce the use of primary aggregates and thus minimize the cost of roads and highways construction.展开更多

The production of coal agglomerates of the range 15-27.51 mm was achieved. The crushing strength of the agglomerates was determined for good handling of fine (coal-liquid mixture) to improve fugitive dust control, decrease in transportation losses, reduce risk of coal freezing, lower risk of spontaneous combustion, etc. in iron and steel industries, railway corporations and coal corporations. Kerosene (paraffin oil) was used as a binder and the agglomerated coal oil mixture was pelletized using balling technique (disc). Mechanical and physical tests like compressive strength test, etc. were carried out. The relationship between the bridging liquid surface tension and specific surface area on strength factor of coal agglomerates showed that there is considerable variation in these parameters in the coal powder systems.展开更多

Clinical trials of CAR-T-based cancer immunotherapy for solid tumors showed that the efficacies are not as remarkable as in the case of hematologic malignancies. There are several challenges that researchers must face when treating solid cancers with CAR-T cells, these include choosing an ideal target, promoting efficient trafficking and infiltration, overcoming the immunosuppressive microenvironment, and avoiding associated toxicity. In this review, we discuss the obstacles imposed by solid tumors on CAR-T cell-based immunotherapy and strategies adopted to improve the therapeutic potential of this approach. Continued investigations are necessary to improve therapeutic outcomes and decrease the adverse effects of CAR-T cell therapy in patients with solid malignancies in the future.展开更多
