ADAMS/Car is used as a tool to build the whole truck model. The designed truck's constant-radius cornering analysis and its ride performance simulation analysis under B class random road condition are carried out according to national experimental method standards. Compared the simulation results with the field test results indicate that performance index of the designed air suspension truck' s constant-radius cornering and its ride performance meets the design requirements and reaches its prospective target. And resuhs from simulation are similar to those from tests in value and trend, which indicates the virtual prototype is correct. The model can be used further to opti, nize suspension parameters and do some design work on the control system of air suspension.展开更多

It helps one to visualize the supply chain and identify areas for further analysis, or to reveal inefficiencies which are not as readily visible when one examines only a small segment of the supply chain. The main objective of this paper is to highlight the importance of mapping in the supply chain context while calling attention to the lack of universal symbols or conventions in the mapping procedure. Accordingly, a case study methodology is used in discussion of the Portuguese automotive supply chain. Based on this case study, it will be possible to conclude that there is an automotive industrial cluster located in two specific regions with an organisational agglomeration. Moreover, it has been possible to identify the main echoes which constitute the research supply chain as well as the dependent relationships which exist between different sectors in the Portuguese economy.展开更多

There are associated costs with excess raw materials, scrap parts, poor use of resources, and outdated materials. All of these contribute to a company's solid waste stream, and must be addressed when calculating the costs of disposal. In addition, it is not ecologically or economically sound decision to allow recyclables to enter landfills. Waste analysis and minimization can be very financially advantageous to companies and should be evaluated. This paper discusses a methodology and a case study that uses a solid waste audit process with a focus on urethane recycling.展开更多

In particular, after a first examination of the characteristics of the whole automotive supply chain, attention was focussed on its final part, that is, on transport and end-market distribution. The paper proposes specific models, which are differentiated by the transport mode (road, rail, sea) they are involved, to estimate the temporal and monetary costs related to the activity of goods distribution to the compounds/end-clients. The proposed mode/ling formulations concern two different areas of investigation: the network segment and interchange nodes. Each cost item is also calculated through aggregate formulations (where the cost is function of a single significant variable in relation to a unit cost parameter) and disaggregate formulations (where each cost item is separately considered). The models have been applied to a study carried out for the modal transfer of vehicles in the port of Gioia Tauro, south of Italy. The analysis has allowed, on the one hand, to calibrate certain models and, on the other, to simulate certain scenario hypotheses to verify the technical feasibility of a different structure for the automotive supply chain in Italy.展开更多

Selected predictive and quasi dynamic control system algorithms of traction vehicle are presented in the paper. For selected constructions of traction vehicle drive system are presented in simulation models and are results of calculations of different exploitations work state of wheel vehicle with hybrid drive system. Results of computer calculations are verified with laboratory measurement and suitable corrections coefficient to simulations models of vehicles is introduced.展开更多

The focus within heating systems is the promotion of HPs (heat pumps) while the focus within transport systems is initiatives regarding EVs (electric vehicles). It is found that the conversion to HPs in the Nordic region relies on both private economic and national economic incentives. Initiatives toward carbon neutrality in the transport system are mostly concentrated on research, development and demonstration for deployment of a large number of EVs. All Nordic countries have plans for the future heating and transport systems with the ambition of realizing carbon neutrality.展开更多
