LBET (extended Largmuir-BET) model and extended CMMS (cooperative multimolecular sorption) equation were simulated respectively to describe water loading on F200 and Sorbead WS. The two equations can be well added into our in-house simulator to simulate double-layered CO 2 -VSA (vacuum swing adsorption) process. The axial bearing capacity of prefabricated composite walls composed of inner and outer concrete wythes,expandable polystyrene(EPS)boards and steel sleeve connectors is investigated.An experimental study on the axial ...The axial bearing capacity of prefabricated composite walls composed of inner and outer concrete wythes,expandable polystyrene(EPS)boards and steel sleeve connectors is investigated.An experimental study on the axial bearing capacity of four prefabricated composite walls after fire treatment is carried out.Two of the prefabricated composite walls are normal-temperature specimens,and the others are treated with fire.The damage modes and crack development are observed,and the axial bearing capacity,lateral deformation of the specimens,and the concrete and reinforcing bar strain are tested.The results show that the ultimate bearing capacity of specimens after a fire is less than that of normal-temperature specimens;when the insulation board thicknesses are 40 mm and 60 mm,the decrease amplitudes are 20.8%and 16.8%,respectively.The maximum lateral deformation of specimens after a fire is greater than that of normal-temperature specimens,and under the same level of load,the lateral deformation increases as the insulation board thickness increases.Moreover,the strain values of the concrete and reinforcing bars of specimens after a fire are greater than those of normal-temperature specimens,and the strain values increase as the thickness of insulation board increases.展开更多

Current...In order to limit short-circuit current and satisfy the need of relay setting, only part of the 220 kV power transformer is grounded, so on the neutrals of ungrounded transformers will appear the over-voltage. Currently the value of over-voltage on transformer neutral point and the corresponding protection strategy is based on theoretical formula. This article uses the PSCAD/EMTDC software to calculate the over-voltage on the neutral point of 4 ungrounded power transformers in Chongqing 220 kV power grid. The result shows that the power frequency transient over-voltage on the neutrals may reach 178 kV. If the single-phase grounding fault occurs in ungrounded power system, the power frequency over-voltage on the neutrals will be more serious and rise to 138.6 kV. Non-full phase operation may cause serious ferro-resonance over-voltage on the neutrals of no-load transformer, which may last for seconds and may rise to 723.7 kV, causing serious threat to the transformer neutrals and line-side equipment. The article also studies the gap parameter which should be taken on the neutrals of 220 kV transformers at the end.展开更多

These substances are important in biofilm formation and some of them can be used a...Extra-cellular compounds, secreted by microorganisms into their surroundings, can be integrated in concrete composition as admixtures. These substances are important in biofilm formation and some of them can be used as corrosion inhibitor of concrete reinforcement. This paper deals with products made with biological surface active compounds/agents allowing the development of more eco-friendly concrete. The influence of this environmentally friendly bio admixture on setting time, workability, bending and compressive strengths of various mortar based materials made of CEM I, CEM III and CEM V was studied. Mechanical tests were carried out to highlight the influence of admixture in workability and hardening of samples containing the biological product with ratio in the range of 0-2.5%. It was demonstrated that the presence of the new bio-compound admixture in mortar decreases their compressive strength after 28 days of standard curing, in spite of remaining higher than standard minimal strength. Furthermore, Vicat needle experiments have shown a tendency of this admixture to decrease the setting time. A discussion was finally proposed in order to correlate the setting times and the decrease of the mortar compressive strength, corresponding in fact to a hardening delay. This setting time delay could be linked to a delay of the admixtured mortar to increase its resistance. The slump results highlight the action of bio-admixture as a plasticizer on mortars because it increases their workability for a same water-cement ratio. Then, the paper describes the performances of different sensors such as CTs (current transformers), CVTs (capacitive voltage transformers), FOCS (fiber optical current transducers) and FOVS (fiber optical voltage transducers). With the use of above transducers together with MUs, the performance of distance protection function and line differential protection function have been investigated and presented.
