Renewing warranty can provide customers with better service,and thus help manufacturers to gain market opportunities.In engineering practice,the cost for replacement is usually higher than the cost for maintenance,hen...Renewing warranty can provide customers with better service,and thus help manufacturers to gain market opportunities.In engineering practice,the cost for replacement is usually higher than the cost for maintenance,hence manufacturers often face huge challenge to reduce the warranty service cost.With consideration of the warranty deadline,we propose a two-stage optimization model for renewing warranty.In the first stage,a renewing warranty with deadline(RWD)policy is implemented,where the deadline represents the cumulative uptime threshold.When the cumulative uptime exceeds the deadline,the product will be minimally repaired and kept to the residual warranty period.When RWD is expired,the replacement warranty with limited repairs(RWLR)policy is applied.Under the free replacement and pro-rata warranty policy,the corresponding two-stage cost optimization model is established from the manufacturer’s perspective,the aim is to minimize the cost rate and obtain the optimal warranty period.A numerical example is provided to illustrate the validity of the proposed model,and the sensitivity analysis is also carried out.展开更多

Fuelwood is the main source of the energy in mountainous regions.Hence,annual wood consumption is very high.Information on fuelwood resources,and their extraction and availability is very scanty.Therefore,present stud...Fuelwood is the main source of the energy in mountainous regions.Hence,annual wood consumption is very high.Information on fuelwood resources,and their extraction and availability is very scanty.Therefore,present study was carried out to study the diversity of fuelwood species,annual collection,preference and availability of fuel species in the forests.Thirty four species(25 trees and 9 shrubs) were extracted for fuel by the inhabitants.Total collection and species preference was highest for Picea smithiana,Cedrus deodara,Indigofera heterantha,Pinus wallchiana and Sorbaria tomentosa,respectively.Resource use index indicating use pressure was highest for P.smithiana,C.deodara,I.heterantha and Abies pindrow,respectively.Besides native species,some non-native horticultural and agroforestry species such as Malus pumila,P.domestica,Celtis australis,etc.were also being used as fuel.Preferred species showed their availability in eight forest types whereas,population and regeneration status was poor.Therefore,immediate actions are suggested to sustain current and future demand of fuelwood.The afforestation of degraded,uncultivated and marginal lands through high quality and preferred fuel species might reduce pressure on wild and selective species.展开更多

Fertiliser types have been selected for their similarity in terms of phosphate and secondary nutrient concentrations and small waste flows, although significant and unavoidable differences in terms of phosphate solubility remain. Input data were taken from literature and from process simulations in Aspen Plus and HSC Chemistry, being based on evaluations of plants in operation or under construction. It was tested and confirmed that HSC Chemistry data can be directly exported to GaBi as an LCA evaluation tool. The paper shows in two cases a positive energy balance and a rather low environmental footprint of all three assessed processes.展开更多
Selection of materials,as an area of design research,has been under considerable interest over the years.Materials selection is one of the most important activities in the product development process.Inappropriate dec...Selection of materials,as an area of design research,has been under considerable interest over the years.Materials selection is one of the most important activities in the product development process.Inappropriate decision of materials can cause the product to be reproduced or remanufactured.To avoid this circumstance,one of the useful tools that can be employed in determining the most appropriate material is analytical hierarchy process(AHP).To illustrate the application of AHP,six different types of composite materials were considered.The most appropriate one for suitability of use in manufacturing automotive bumper beam was determined by considering eight main selection factors and 12 sub-factors.The AHP analysis reveals that the glass fibre epoxy is the most appropriate material because it has the highest value(25.7%,mass fraction) compared with other materials.The final material is obtained by performing six different scenarios of the sensitivity analysis.It is proved that glass fibre epoxy is the most optimum decision.展开更多

Firstly, based on the key hypergraph, the three hierarchy architecture of fog computing is divided into two subnetworks. Furthermore, each key management process of both two subnetworks is designed to satisfy the operational and security requirements of fog computing. At times, conflicts of interests might occur among these contractual subjects requesting civil and commercial claims of the same subject matter based on agreements or legal rights. As for the causes of these conflicts and their solutions, a majority of existing researches still stay at the superficial causes from the perspective of civil and commercial law, and the solution of determining the order of priority of compensation of related rights. Due to the lack of research into deep-seated reasons and solutions from the perspective of economic law, the current legislative and judicial approaches to this kind of problems tend to give more protection to the rights of one subject while lack sufficient attention to other subjects. This paper attempts to carry out analyses and research on the causes and solutions to this kind of conflicts from the perspective of economic law, to achieve integrated protection of diverse interests in real estate development and operation so as to better safeguard the order in real estate development and operation and facilitate the healthy and ordered development of the real estate industry.展开更多

Method: Literature research was conducted for quantitative clinical studies of acupuncture in stroke treatment, with the entry point on the timing factor and dosage factor. A hierarchical analysis was performed on observing the time–efficacy relationship and the dosage–efficacy relationship before, during and after acupuncture. Results: Though the retrieved studies differ especially in such timing factors as needle retaining time, acupuncture interval and course, they share an agreement in the acupuncture intervention time point, acupuncture timing, specificity of acupoints and acupuncture manipulation. With the improvement of electricity markets,the gradual aggravation of energy shortage and the environment pollution,it is urgent to formulate a new model to precisely satisfy the system demand for energy and reserve....With the improvement of electricity markets,the gradual aggravation of energy shortage and the environment pollution,it is urgent to formulate a new model to precisely satisfy the system demand for energy and reserve.Currently,power system opti-mization dispatching is always formulated as a discrete-time scheduling model.In this paper,we first demonstrate through an example that the upper and lower bounds of spinning reserve offered by a unit,given in the discrete-time model framework as constraints,is unreachable.This causes the problem that the reserve delivery obtained by the discrete-time scheduling model cannot be carried out precisely.From the detailed analysis of the ramp rate constraints,it is proved that the reachable upper and lower bounds of spinning reserve in every period can be expressed as functions of two variables,i.e.,generation level of unit at the start and end of this period.Thus,a new method is provided to calculate the upper and lower bounds of spinning reserve which are reachable in average.Furthermore,a new model based on this proposed method for joint scheduling of generation and reserve is presented,which considers the ability to realize the scheduled energy and reserve delivery.It converts the opti-mization based accurate scheduling for generation and reserve of power system from a continuous-time optimal control prob-lem to a nonlinear programming problem.Therefore,the proposed model can avoid the difficulties in solving a continu-ous-time optimal control problem.Based on the sequential quadratic programming method,numerical experiments for sched-uling electric power production systems are performed to evaluate the model and the results show that the new model is highly effective.展开更多
The effects of contemporary climate,habitat heterogeneity and long-term climate change on species richness are well studied for woody plants in forest ecosystems,but poorly understood for herbaceous plants,especially ...The effects of contemporary climate,habitat heterogeneity and long-term climate change on species richness are well studied for woody plants in forest ecosystems,but poorly understood for herbaceous plants,especially in alpine–arctic ecosystems.Here,we aim to test if the previously proposed hypothesis based on the richness–environment relationship could explain the variation in richness patterns of the typical alpine–arctic herbaceous genus Saxifraga.Using a newly compiled distribution database of 437 Saxifraga species,we estimated the species richness patterns for all species,narrow-and wide-ranged species.We used generalized linear models and simultaneous autoregressive models to evaluate the effects of contemporary climate,habitat heterogeneity and historical climate on species richness patterns.Partial regressions were used to determine the independent and shared effects of different variables.Four widely used models were tested to identify their predictive power in explaining patterns of species richness.We found that temperature was negatively correlated with the richness patterns of all and wide-ranged species,and that was the most important environmental factor,indicating a strong conservatism of its ancestral temperate niche.Habitat heterogeneity and long-term climate change were the best predictors of the spatial variation of narrow-ranged species richness.Overall,the combined model containing five predictors can explain ca.40%–50%of the variation in species richness.We further argued that additional evolutionary and biogeographical processes might have also played an essential role in shaping the Saxifraga diversity patterns and should be considered in future studies.展开更多

In the pres...Rickettsia heilongjiangensis is an obligate intracellular bacterium that causes Far-Eastern tick-borne spotted fever. Outer membrane protein B(Omp B) is an important surface protein antigen of rickettsiae. In the present study, the omp B gene of R. heilongjiangensis was divided into four fragments, resulting in four recombinant proteins(OmpB-p1, Omp B-p2, Omp B-p3, and Omp B-p4). Each Omp B was used in vitro to stimulate murine bone marrow-derived dendritic cells(BMDCs) of C3H/He N mice, and the Omp B-pulsed BMDCs were transferred to naive C3H/He N mice. On day 14 post-transfer of BMDCs, the mice were challenged with R. heilongjiangensis and the rickettsial loads in the mice were quantitatively determined on day 7 post-challenge. Mice receiving BMDCs pulsed with Omp B-p2, Omp B-p3, or Omp B-p4 exhibited significantly lower bacterial load compared with mice receiving Omp B-p1-pulsed BMDCs. CD4+ and CD8+ T cells isolated from the spleen of C3H/He N mice receiving BMDCs pulsed with each OmpB were co-cultured with BMDCs pulsed with the respective cognate protein. In flow cytometric analysis, the expression level of CD69 on CD4+ or CD8+ T cells from mice receiving BMDCs pulsed with Omp B-p2, OmpB-p3, or Omp B-p4 was higher than that on cells from mice receiving Omp B-p1-pulsed BMDCs, while the expression level of tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α on CD8+ T cells and interferon(IFN)-γ on the CD4+ and CD8+ T cells from mice receiving Omp B-p2,-p3, or-p4 was significantly higher than on cells from mice receiving Omp B-p1-pulsed BMDCs. Our results suggest that the protective Omp Bs could activate CD4+ and CD8+ T cells and drive their differentiation toward CD4+ Th1 and CD8+ Tcl cells, respectively, which produce greater amounts of TNF-α and, in particular, IFN-γ, to enhance rickettsicidal activity of host cells.展开更多

Various faults on double-circuit 750 kV and multi- circuit 330 kV AC transmission lines in Qjnghai power system were simulated. The impedance characteristics and harmonic components at Qjnghai side of Qjng-Tibet DG transmission line were analyzed. The harmonic proportion in voltages and currents were studied for faults that took place at different locations near the DG system. The inflence of Qing-Tibet DG system on the directional components of protections, differential protections and distance protections of AC transmission lines was discussed and drew the conclusions that the DC sytem had little influence on differential protections, while had great inflence on directional components and distance protection. The conclusions can provide reference for studying the interaction between AC and DG systems.展开更多

文摘Rickettsia heilongjiangensis is an obligate intracellular bacterium that causes Far-Eastern tick-borne spotted fever. Outer membrane protein B(Omp B) is an important surface protein antigen of rickettsiae. In the present study, the omp B gene of R. heilongjiangensis was divided into four fragments, resulting in four recombinant proteins(OmpB-p1, Omp B-p2, Omp B-p3, and Omp B-p4). Each Omp B was used in vitro to stimulate murine bone marrow-derived dendritic cells(BMDCs) of C3H/He N mice, and the Omp B-pulsed BMDCs were transferred to naive C3H/He N mice. On day 14 post-transfer of BMDCs, the mice were challenged with R. heilongjiangensis and the rickettsial loads in the mice were quantitatively determined on day 7 post-challenge. Mice receiving BMDCs pulsed with Omp B-p2, Omp B-p3, or Omp B-p4 exhibited significantly lower bacterial load compared with mice receiving Omp B-p1-pulsed BMDCs. CD4+ and CD8+ T cells isolated from the spleen of C3H/He N mice receiving BMDCs pulsed with each OmpB were co-cultured with BMDCs pulsed with the respective cognate protein. In flow cytometric analysis, the expression level of CD69 on CD4+ or CD8+ T cells from mice receiving BMDCs pulsed with Omp B-p2, OmpB-p3, or Omp B-p4 was higher than that on cells from mice receiving Omp B-p1-pulsed BMDCs, while the expression level of tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α on CD8+ T cells and interferon(IFN)-γ on the CD4+ and CD8+ T cells from mice receiving Omp B-p2,-p3, or-p4 was significantly higher than on cells from mice receiving Omp B-p1-pulsed BMDCs. Our results suggest that the protective Omp Bs could activate CD4+ and CD8+ T cells and drive their differentiation toward CD4+ Th1 and CD8+ Tcl cells, respectively, which produce greater amounts of TNF-α and, in particular, IFN-γ, to enhance rickettsicidal activity of host cells.

文摘A hierarchy of new nonlinear evolution equations associated with a 2 x 2 matrix spectral problem is derived. One of the nontrivial equations in this hierarchy is the famous Sharma-Tasso-Olver equation. Then infinitely many conservation laws of this equation are deduced. Darboux transformation for the Sharma-Tasso-Olver equation is constructed with the aid of a gauge transformation.
文摘To analyze the influence of _+400 kV Q^nghai-Tibet HVDC transmission system on transmission- line protections in Qjnghai AG power system, a closed-loop simulation system was constructed by combing HyperSim system with HVDG control protection devices. Various faults on double-circuit 750 kV and multi- circuit 330 kV AC transmission lines in Qjnghai power system were simulated. The impedance characteristics and harmonic components at Qjnghai side of Qjng-Tibet DG transmission line were analyzed. The harmonic proportion in voltages and currents were studied for faults that took place at different locations near the DG system. The inflence of Qing-Tibet DG system on the directional components of protections, differential protections and distance protections of AC transmission lines was discussed and drew the conclusions that the DC sytem had little influence on differential protections, while had great inflence on directional components and distance protection. The conclusions can provide reference for studying the interaction between AC and DG systems.
